Greetings from South Africa! Great video, I loved it! Video Idea: Short corner, self stop and shot on goal, how to do it quickly and properly while dealing with the pressure of a first wave running at you. I'm 23 and have been playing since I was 6 but started playing keeper at 10 and still going strong but since 2 years ago I've been playing field for my club's second team, either forward or back and last year the coach wanted me in the corners as mentioned above with the video idea but for the life of me I can't get it right. It works if I'm on the right of top D and someone slips it to me but I really want to have both in my bag of tricks 😎😊 Thank you for you videos!
By any chance do they have a shop that owns hockey gear or sports equipment because i moved from South Africa and moved to New Zealand and when i go back i just want to know if their is one
@@Kiwi_boii Do you mean if my club has a shop or the hockey heroes? Because I don't know about the heroes and my club does not have their own one but I do know of various hockey shops in the Pretoria area.
@@denisejohnson3616 Have you tried a straight hit with a stopper? Having someone else to stop the ball and then gently tap it into the d will always be more efficient than stopping it yourself. Once you get the stopper to tap it in at the right pace the stop and hit becomes as smooth as a drag flick. You don't really see it at international level because who would hit for bottom corners when you can drag flick for any of them but the move works very well.
you guys are awesome honestly .. I love you and I learned much from you ❤ waiting for more especially that skill of shooting cuz most of time my stick is hitting the ground...
Thank you for the great videos me being a new player I am constantly looking for things to get for hockey do you think you guys could do a hockey stick giveaway
do you have any tricks on how to get the ball up easily? Like high shots that a beginner hockey player could do? - Ik wou ook hi zeggen en de hokcey velden waar jullie op spelen waren tegen over mijn oude huis maar ik ben nu in middels verhuisd naar het buitenland!! :) Jullie zijn heel goed in hockey!
I kown I’m VERY late but I have to ask something so when you swing the ball in the goal do your hands necessarily have to be together? Tell me in the chat list thing thanks 😊?!
I play master grass hockey, and we rarely hit the ball up off the ground. I guess these younger players play low bow sticks. Can't see the point for hitting up on goal, the goalie stops most of the hand high shots. When we peach them along the ground, they go in.
Thank you for all the fun sessions. Really enjoyed watching them. Looking forward to seeing more tips. By the way, want to know more about receiving with 3D skills, I mean when the ball coming from a teammate, you don’t need to stop it, instead touch it with 3D skills and go forward, so you can beat defender straightway. Thanks!
Dat lijkt ons super leuk om te doen! Alleen we willen iedereen de mogelijkheid geven om de videos te begrijpen en dat kan niet in het Nederlands. Ook kost een video maken erg veel tijd. Misschien ooit in de toekomst.
The left hand guides the stick and the line of the ball. Turn the left wrist clockwise to slice the ball to the right or anticlockwise to close the face of the stick on contact with the ball so that your straight shot actually goes to your left and thereby dummies the opposition player/goalkeeper. For a straight shot keep the left wrist in the line of the intended shot and it should follow that line during the follow through after the shot. The right hand provides the power. The power of the shot comes through the transference of the combination of both the swing of the shoulders and the hips providing the weight behind the right hand. I totally disagree with his assertion that it is just the weight of the stick that provides the power. For a powerful shot the weight is on the front foot and the power transmitted through the right hand is that of the swing of the shoulders. For a very powerful shot , the weight of the player is transferred during the downward swing of the stick from the front foot to the back foot just before the moment of contact between the stick and the ball. The hip and the right foot turn into the line of the shot so that the full weight of the body plus the power generated by the swing of the hips and the shoulders is fully behind the shot. Note how often the players in the video lift their back (right) foot at the point of contact. It means that they are not only off balance when the make their shot but they then also lose the line (accuracy) of their shot. Hence quite a few of their shots go wide which, in an uncontested situation, simply should not happen.
Sorry, but the idea that body weight provides power is nonsense. The energy of the stick is proportional to the square of the speed of the stick. Nothing else matters. The faster the stick, the faster the ball goes. If I released the stick it would transfer exactly the same energy to the ball. This is basic physics and I've demonstrated it many times as a coach by allowing the stick to leave my hands at impact. A steady frame helps with keeping the swing in the plane, but it doesn't affect pace.
I appreciate all these players are very good but their efforts are all a bit embarrassing going high with their shots which every keeper picks off. The one thing I want to know is how these top players manage to hit accurately with sticks with huge bows surely they must accommodate where they position the ball in their stance when striking the ball but we have none of this. Lawrence please help me :-)
@@HockeyheroesTV Ha Ha :-) You're right though. Seriously a demo of the angle of the stick and how this affects the height of the shot would be helpful. PS Forgot to say, really enjoy your videos, keep them coming.
Thanks guys helped me score my first goal in a match😁
Same!!😄😄🏑
Wish I could get tips from you in person
That would be cool!
Me to.
I know rite
Ga naar drijver, zul je vrij weinig aan hebben aangezien je wss geen keeper bent maar zo ja dan ga naar drijver daar is dennis
"if you put more power in you will hit it over..." hits it gently and both go over
Now do it with a plastic stick
Can you guys do more goalie training?
It is coming!
These videos are so helpful! thank you guys for all the effort you put into them
I wish I could be as good as you guys! I have played hockey for almost 3 years now and still not great at hockey. Do you guys have any tips?
I love you guys so much your the reason i learnt to play hockey :) your the best :)
Wow! Thanks for the support!
この動画を見て少しですがコースを上手く狙えるようになりました!
威力はまだまだなのでもっと練習頑張ろうと思います!
Love the vid keep it up
How much goalie gear dose denis have?
(7+)
And you guys must be the best players in your teams to be training in a group like this?
Hardly, some of them play in the 4th tier
If they are the best players in their team
They would be training with their teams
If their team is so good
Their budget will be higher
