- T.M. Landry College Preparatory School has been praised for sending 100 percent of its graduates to college. But some say the Louisiana school famous for sending black students to elite colleges falsified records and overstated applicants' accomplishments, according to the New York Times. The prep school, run by Michael Landry, a teacher and former salesman, and his wife, claims it supplied a steady stream of successful applicants to elite schools hungry for diversity. #InsideEdition

This breaks my heart. Imagine how this will diminish these young people's self esteem and belief in their own abilities. The fact that many have already withdrawn or transferred, is proof that they were set up to fail and perpetuates the notion that we aren't as smart or as talented as our counterparts.

Man imagine gathering so many people to record whether you get accepted or not. They had to have expected something good. Getting denied so publicly doesn't sound like fun to me lol not to mention the fact that you can get denied for more reasons than just grades.
Gotta agree! It might be because I'm an only child, and I'm used to doing everything alone by myself- but when I got my acceptance email, I made 100% sure I was ACTUALLY in before I ever told anyone. I literally read it at least 8-9 times over and over again just to be sure.

It’s a prep school meaning probably a private school, I go to a 100% college rate private school and everyone knows each other. I know every middle schooler, most high schoolers, and some lower schoolers. Trust me one person can be loved by that many people because our school is built on the core values and family as a whole.

I’m currently on a full ride at a state school because I know my bank account will appreciate it in the future (although I did get into a few top schools like Duke and NYU).

Yep! I went to the best highschool in my country, with a graduation rate of 98%, and not even all my peers got accepted into the best colleges in the country. A LOT of students DID, but definitely not all.
You're not helping kids actually learn by cheating like that.. When they get to those high tier schools and realize that they were screwed over by the high school, that's gonna cause way more damage. Just actually educate them. They clearly wanted to learn.
Of course it's fake. They all started screaming at the exact same time. I doubt they can all read the same speed as each other and see the screen well from different angles.
