@@danshakuimo I don't think that's how it works. Doesn't matter how many times you run, doesn't make you a robot. Good example, Couriway has probably close to if not the most runs ever of a speedrunner yet you can still see him getting excited/annoyed at runs.
@@jackm3672 that's because he's crookst. Crookst is just chill af on stream and just like eating sub 10's sub 11 for breakfast and he srill isn't satisfied but also not being annoyed when there are times when he can't fill up end portal because of 0 eyes. He just fking resets no matter what
His reaction is exactly why he’s so good. He isn’t satisfied with anything less than the absolute best.
Tbh, his lack of reaction is probably part of why hes able to remain so consistent.
The fact hes able to remain calm like that and not let the adrenaline get to him probably lets him avoid making a ton of mistakes.
I know I've had times where a game got tense to the point I'd be shaking so violently I'm barely able to even stay in control of which keys I press.
There are two types of competitors...
Those who love to win and those who hate to lose.
The later are much more engaged and focused I their craft.

Yeah he's had hype for a long time but he just keeps getting better and better. He used to frustrate me a little compared to other top runners but that doesn't really happen anymore. He's learned to play effectively in tournaments as well. Out-placed Feinberg in a tournament round last week that included the two of them and Cube, and beat out both of them for fastest time of the two seeds.

Defining this video in a nutshell: This man is the literal meaning of practice makes perfect and dedication.
Crookst has been a massively underrated speedrunner for a while now, he is definitely in my top 3 world record contenders along with fein and illumina. Glad he is starting to finally get the recognition he deserves. He also has 10 sub 6 blinds which is by far more than anyone else

feinberg only runs all advancements nowadays and rarely plays rsg and i dont think illumina consistently grinds rsg the same way crookst or other runners do
Crookst emit gigachad energy no doubt. Doing Zero cycle on wr pace, shrugging damage if he can, and most importantly he plays seeds like it was set seed. He might not be have the fastest time (yet), his consistency shows us he doesn't need luck to go get a bonkers run, he only needs it on setting world records

Its a shame that the clout goes to WR when it should really go to fastest end entry with explosives. Like he technically has the fastest run, just screwed by a dragon. If the dragon would always perch like 20 seconds afet you enter the end that would be amazing
it does in fsg but it defeats the whole of point of the category which is more about beating minecraft in its natural way

Zero cycles prove that there are still new strategies being discovered with the end fight. Stopping the timer at the end enter would discount all that previous work and discourage innovation in end strategies
Health is a resource and Crookst treats it like one. I love seeing just how optimal this fellow plays.

2:10 not in minecraft history. tarokichen clearly was. At a time when none of the current strats were developped he had pretty much the top 20 best 1.7 RSG times if I remember correctly (it's starting to get pretty old now)

@@lemqnshark Unfortunately so. Very overrated edition to speedrun. With good rng, Bedrock Edition is actually better to speedrun than Java.
@@ItsCyclonic maybe, but java has waaay more runners that prefer that so they don’t know that and with more runners are more opportunities for good RNG which means java will have better times more often.
