On this episode of the Mind Shift Podcast, Erwin and Aaron McManus talk all things astrology, dating, relationships and looking for love.
No relationship can thrive under the shadow of toxicity. It's about gaining the tools to be the right person in a relationship, moving beyond blaming past traumas, and cultivating a healthy self-awareness.
We're inherently designed for connection, yet, our generation struggles with self-knowledge. The journey towards emotional intelligence and healthier relationships starts with understanding oneself.
Trauma is part of life, but resilience in our internal world shapes our external relationships. Kindness emerges as a key trait in seeking a partner, fostering less volatility and a deeper connection. The advent of dating apps has transformed the dating scene, offering new avenues for love, yet emphasizing the importance of faith and serendipity in finding the right partner.
Rejecting fatalistic ideologies, we advocate for creativity, free will, and the essence of life in our relationships. Forgiveness and mutual growth are cornerstones of a healthy partnership, alongside supporting each other in finding individual identities.
Friendship and community hold immense value, offering love and support as we navigate the search for romantic love. Lastly, we invite you to join the Arena Summit, a platform for deeper exploration into these topics, fostering growth, learning, and connection.
In conclusion, the path to healthier relationships is paved with self-awareness, kindness, resilience, and the power of community. Here's to navigating love with wisdom and an open heart.

Love erwin’s last bit there….. You don't have to be married to be fully loved. You are fully loved & worthy of love. Look at love holistically. Romantic love is one slice of love we humans need. Don't miss out on love of friendship & community, so many different dimensions of love i hope everyone takes time to experience.
    Beautiful💜🙏

THE MAGI! Had to go back to a thought I had jotted down couple months ago… just a beautiful moment in time.
    - “the Magi see something captivating enough to lead them on a quest- They understood this bright light was different than anything they had ever seen. They considered the trip worth the risk-sacrificing valuable time and energy for the hope of what may be on the other side of that mysterious star. In the end, they found the God that had created the world and the night sky that they had studied so carefully. The star lead them straight to the star creator himself- in the form of a human.. a human so small that his creation would have to support him and love him for survival. Humbleness at a level that has never existed before.”-

      1. It does sound like Humility vs Pride.
      2. The parable of the Pharisee and the sinner that go up to pray.
      3. He chose the foolish to confound the wise.
These might not neatly fit but I think tbey are quite related. There's just something that draws God to need. He is a Father after all.
The healthy don't need a Dr, the full don't need to be fed etc. Which is dangerous when Pride has one thinking they are healthy and full when they are not, like Pharisees. Not only spiritually but also physically these misconstrued views of one's self will cost them their lives.

@Erwin I appreciate your patience and love in keeping your son grounded in faith. The tendency of humanity is to become so obsessed with the means and methods of the material world that we lose sight of the immaterial and unseen movement of God- a danger that leads us to deception and idolatry.

I totally get where Aaron’s coming from. Even though it can feel a bit lonely having a ‘cold night’ without someone around, I kinda love the freedom of not having to check in all the time :)))) Still, I gotta say, I really look up to Erwin and Kim’s relationship.

So good! This entire convo was relevant, reflective and engaging. Thank you! As a long-time single person, it's so crazy to listen to Aaron and have things click. To see myself through him and realize how much over-thinking/ over-analyzing I'm doing and all the hypotheticals etc, etc. It just clicked... I cannot self-aware myself into a perfect, seamless relationship. I can do my best to be the best version of me when I meet them, but even at my best self, I cannot will the perfect match into my life on my timeline. Also, so many slices of love that often feel non-existent because it always seems like everyone is so focused on their intimate/relationship slice. Oh! To live is truly to see!

thank you for this - I love listing so much to you guys. Great topic today. Lots of love from Germany ❤
and as a woman who is surrounded by a lot of girls which also believe in Astrologie I know that they think it would help them to figure out the guy, get some clues about his personality and as weird as it might sound give them some kind of safety. Often they are not well connected with their intuition and I guess this is why they need something to tell them if it's a good match or not. In my opinion it's helpless even worse. When you check the sign you're not as open and often get misguided or just project something which isn't even true. Our heart knows more than our head and our body reacts to everything we just need to listen more carefully and be in tune with our Intuition. Maybe this helps a little bit to be more compassionate with these Astrogirls.

    23:13 I think it’s called limerence!

    • @zinhlemkhize2332
      @zinhlemkhize2332 3 месяца назад +1

Limerence is similar to liking someone and having a desire to be with them. That is forward in time.
This is an example of a *Positive Bias* and is a retrospective view of a r/ship you have been in an left already. This is when your brain seeks to protect itself from the trauma from that past r/ship by selectively forgetting the toxic and clinging on to the better, often to the point of eagerly wanting to experience those emotions again by going back to that person.
Ironically, the very reason why the brain activates self-preservation mechanism is to combat the trauma. Since the r/ship between these two variables (trauma & bias) is directly proportional, its counterproductive to want to reunite with that person 😢
      I speak from personal experience.

I've decided that when people ask me that, I will use it to witness because my "astrological sign" is Virgo, as in Jesus was born of a virgin, as the Scriptures said.
