PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?! :( When I press divide in Zbrush all my sections are no longer touching? wether I smooth or not. is this going to cause an issue as yours doesnt look the same. for example the top half and the skirt has a gap :(
hi there! thank you so so much for this great tutorial!! I have a question on the step when placing the pieces on the map image. When I try to move individual pieces to parts on the map, it wont separate from the rest of the pieces even after i use the B key to select only the piece I want to move. And after I try deselecting the areas that I don't want to include on the other pieces, it removes my selection on the piece I want to move. They are linked somehow and I am not sure how to fix this in order for me to select the pieces separately.
Hi ! When exporting your .obj from blender, be sure to go to edit mode , select all your vertices with "a". In the exporting window, check "selection only" and to unbcheck "apply modifiers".
So, I've just imported the obj in zbrush, and the back side disappears when I rotate. I'm guessing I've messed up all the way at md. Is there a way to fix this now or it's too late and I have to restart?
hi! i love your cc and now i get to thank you for making such a good tutorial series! i've been looking for something like this for ages! i had a question about zbrush. when i go to linefill to change my mesh into separate colors, it also shows all the lines of the vertices. but somehow you got it to not show the lines. how did you do this?
Hi, thank you a lot for this tutorial! It's extra useful for beginners. I have a question concerning the possibility of fixing some previous errors. After having finished with folds and seams in ZBrush I noticed that the edges of my dress are a bit torn and irregular. I know how to fix it in Blender, is there a possibility to export this obj file from Zbrush to Blender? How shall I find my uv there to add new polygons to the edges? Or is there a possibility to fix this problem in Zbrush? Thank you one more time, your work is very helpful!
i am also having this problem, and haven't been able to continue because of it. i tried removing doubles as instructed in a different comment, but it didn't help!
@@meganlinard3808 I have found a probable solution. It helped me to finish this work. You should use ZRemesher, your dress will be remeshed (you will have unified rectangular polygons in your mesh) and then you can subdivide the mesh and continue with all the subsequent steps from the video. If after remeshing some details (like suspenders) cross the dress, move them manually to the right position
@@ackerwinde_videos you're my hero, this worked really well! for me the suspenders still became thinner, but the edges were not jagged at all :) thanks so much!
@@meganlinard3808 settings for remeshing: polygons count - 10. There are some videos here on RUclips where other creators remesh their blender objects. You will find ZRemesher in the options list
@@meganlinard3808 I'm happy that it has proved helpful! Although there is something strange with suspenders, you can try to fix it manually: move the vertices and edges in Zbrush (in the Brushes list there is a special tool for this somewhere in the end of the list). I suppose each user has his own unique problems with this bizarre soft 🤣
@@King-bl8oe I know you commented over a year ago but I struggled with that part too so I figured I might as well share what worked for me: before dividing, I went to tool>geometry>crease (then clicked crease)! After that the dividing went well!
I have a small question: after the trial ends, I am not sure I can purchase the license, it's too expensive for me. But Zbrush core exists, do you know if it would be okay to work with this program instead?
Sara might be confused ZBrush Core and ZBrush MINI Core. Core is about $10/mo and mini core is always free. However, the free version doesn't have the tools required for creating CC because you can't import custom brushes, you can't link the changes you make on the sculpt to the UV. There are a lot of restrictions. Unfortunately, I've never subscribed to the $10/mo Core so I can't tell if it can work for these projects. Lastly, if Sara is talking about getting it for... 'free' then be suuuper careful because software is notorious for containing viruses and you may end up with ransomware which basically decrypts all your files on your PC and you have to pay some scammy person to give them back. It might not be worth completely bricking your laptop over $10 for Core or $30 for the full ZBrush.
next time you do a tutorial can you please not put a massive watermark in the screen where a lot of important stuff is. sometimes I have no clue what you're showing because its stuck behind your watermark

I've been watching all parts of this process and omg.. I always thought its Zebra Sh and not Z Brush omg 💀

Big thank you for your tutorials ❤
I have a Problem.
I can't open zbrush.It says i need a license.
Can someone help me pls?
I believe this means your trial has run out. If you want to use ZB now, you'll need to buy a 1 month or 1 year license from their website.
