CBTC on the Queens Blvd, Culver, and later Crosstown, necessitated the swap of all R160s to Jamaica Yard (The G is now at Jamaica as well), leaving Jamaica’s R46s to move to Coney Island Yard.
This is a fleet swap with Coney Island and Jamaica Yard Shops so most R160 Siemens from the Broadway lines are now on the 8 Avenue lines and for R46 it’s vice versa. The main reason for this is that the NTT’s get equipped with CBTC
