True. Clearly remember witnessing the Drowned World Tour version live. Music is one of her best albums for me. Very tight. Definitely one to listen to from beginning to end...and Gone is an amazing endind song. Voice still strong and confident post-Evita.

When this album came out I had just lost my father and the song was my companion for so many days of mourning and contemplating my relationship with him. Still makes me teary eyed. A magnificent song, one of her best and most moving songs .
People held a grudge against this song, because she swapped-out “You’ll See” on HBO, for The Drowned World Tour in 2001. She alternated the two on the road. They’re both amazing, so I’m glad you did this track justice. I got the best of both world’s, having seen “You’ll See” live in Boston on 8/8/01. Originally, “Gone” was my favorite off Music. I wish it was the 3rd single, instead of “What It Feels Like For A Girl”- although, great video . . . Music is the second album collaboration with William Orbit. Although not the entire album like Ray of Light, but about half the songs including this one you just listened to. I’ll say it again, a Madonna & William Orbit collaboration will never disappoint! I hope they get to work together again, at least once more before they or I die.🙏🏽

William Orbit=electronica writer/producer/composer GOD! He is GOD among mere mortals when you talk about electronica music. In my opinion, William Orbit has been and will ALWAYS be Madonna’s best collaboration.
The album "Music" basicaly was the album pretty much every female pop stars of the next decade based their sound on. The sound of this album was made by a french atrist named Mirwais chosen by Madonna to work with her.
