I recall this song was first released in the 80's when I was just a young teenager, this is a 90's version and actually she was said to be pregnant with her first child when filming this music video.

I know that you have already seen her perform this song at her Blond Ambition Tour but her version at the Oscars is completely different from the one you’ve seen

This was during the anticipation of the upcoming Evita film. She had some intense vocal training for the soundtrack and she was showcasing her enhanced abilities. Awesome single shot video too.
This is just a remix of the song that appeared on Like A Virgin album. Her vocals are from the original version. Only the video was shot to promote her "best of" ballad album that featured this song.

I love Madonna‘s ballads. I love most of what she does, but I really do love her ballads. She is extremely emotive when she is singing, making you feel what she’s feeling. And her eyes will always draw you in. It’s very captivating.
My favourite ballads are Take A Bow, and its companion piece, You’ll See. I highly recommend you check these out.

I can remember the original of this song at N0.1 in the charts by a band called Rose Royce. I always preferred the original but Madonna's version on her first hit album 'Like a virgin' was a very good cover.

What a slow burner. I can't remember the last time I heard this. Madonna's vocals are markedly improved here. All those vocal inflections and nuances you point out are new to my ears.

Listen to her original version of this song on your own. It’s much better and this remix uses that same vocal track I believe.
This song was an absolute highlight of her Rebel Heart tour, unfortunately cut from the concert DVD. I'm assuming because she/the touring company doesn't like to pay royalties for the songs that aren't hers (it's a cover).

Oh god. Awful choice. Terrible horrible remix. Listen to the album versions either from Like A Virgin or Something To Remember. This is a horrid US radio mix that kills the song dead.
Agreed.. This is a terrible mid-nineties remix that completely strips the song of most of its emotional power. Her original version from Like A Virgin is a classic, while this one sounds dated and somewhat boring. Listen to her 1984 version and see how amazing this song really is!
Meh... beautiful video but the music in this version is so lame. You better listen to the original, in the Like a Virgin album. Is a masterpiece and her voice is the same but sounds so powerful. One of my top 5 Madonna songs for sure.
