Putting the Hoffman show and the Freddy Dodge show back to back makes this show look even worse in comparison. One show has people that are smart, likeable, knowledgeable, and skilled.. and the other show has Hoffmans.
So glad the Hunter Hoffman drama show is over. Hopefully they have better script writers next season. 95% less Hunter, and more gold mining please!
If I was writing this thing, I would have the light go out and with the screen black, there would be a "Oh No", followed by some THREE STOOGES' sound effects and then someone yelling, "Turn the machine off."
Then the next is a day, the scene is a meeting with the crew in the office with one of them missing. Todd asks, "What did we learn last night?" One of the men answers, "That we should always have backup lights and not go around a running wash plant unable to see or you might get drug through the plant and get thrown on a lever receiving severe rectal damage. Todd says, "That's right. Does everyone have their flashlights?" Which everyone holds up theirs. Todd says, "Good, everyone be safe."
Now that's entertainment.
The show definitely could do with some more rectal damage. Right now it only causes mental damage.
This show is right up there with the boys on oak island hunting for buttons sticks and clay.

Hoffman math has always been INSANELY off. Like exponential levels of not adding up. Parker's math has made a lot of sense. Tony's honestly isn't great either - I suspect he underreports gold totals (for obvious reasons).
Thank God that's over, and if we EVER hear the name Hoffman EVER again, it will be to soon.

Hoffman Math has always been dubious. Still the best part of the show is your recaps and puns! The Camel Clutch poster made me laugh out loud and my wife just rolled her eyes. Haha

Well, it's abundantly clear that there are some pretty good reasons why I never went to Alaska and became a gold mine.
But being north of Nome is especially harsh gold mining even if the ground is rich.
If it helps the Hoffmans come together as a family, it's all worth it.
Their Colorado mining certainly hit a low point.
I'm also thankful to have never worked the back deck of an Alaskan king crabber.
Life is a long road regardless of what you do. Live each day as a proper challenge and you'll be okay.
I binged S2 up to episode 6 and couldn't take the positive sluice comments of caught gold. Then the weigh ins are piss poor in comparison. It doesn't add up it never does.
I always think Jack is super sketchy in the gold room. I hope I'm wrong I really do, because it wouldn't be good good ole Jack to bear to hear. I really hope so. I don't think I'm wrong though.
So that pick chewing from hunter was the most frustrating thing I've endured on any of these shows, boy oh boy.
I just ended up ffw'ing the rest of the episodes to the gold weigh.
I swear the Jack hoffman gold weighs are the worst thing in gold mining history hands down, for several reasons.
I'll be back after I view the last 2 episodes weigh ins. I felt the need to let off this steam while I'm watching. Pfffft lol.
Mathematics are not something familiar to the Hoffman crew. Todd said that they moved to their final cut because it had 2.5 oz per 100 yards. When they talk about hours worked and yards used, no of that works.
Nome crisis, toothpick sales have dropped to near zero now that all the dbags moved back home.
The thumbnail of Hunter reminded me of Walking Dead S10 flashback to a young Rick Grimes. Thanks for these videos so I don't have to watch this terrible series.
This entire season was about trying to turn the insufferable, narcissistic, toothpick chewing, stupid hat wearing Hunter into a Parker Snovell. The executive producer Todd Hoffman failed at making his spoiled brat into a TV star as much as he failed at gold mining. I still think the mine is a sound stage and fake.
Never watched this show but love your recaps, keep it up!
I saw a thing on Reddit about this show, saying THIS was the new flagship of gold rush since “the godfather” of the series was back and “watching his son become a new mining legend”

Remember when "Dukes of Hazard" tried to replace the main characters for a season? The fight was over merchandise royalties. This could be similar. Either that or the fact that nobody could stand looking at Rick's hooker GF. Damn that gal was UGLY. He should just date a guy and cut out all the drama in his life.

Todd's kid hunter Is such a winer I've heard him say so many times I don't know any other kids my age doing this or that or have ever done it Parker did it 10 years before you for 1 and 2 hunter has grown up with a f****** silver spoon in his a** grow up. His dad Todd needs to learn how to communicate If hes gonna start moving his the kids plant give them the respect of calling them on the radio when saying Hey we're gonna do this do you wanna come down. Like for people that say they're so god-fearing Christian or whatever they sure as hell don't act it. I would guess they had never been to a church in their life if I wasn't told so. They were so much more humble in their other seasons in Gold Rush Todd needs to tell his kid if hes going to do something with the plant that hes letting his kid run tell him first you dummy that is the disrespect not telling him and doing it.

I think I liked this show more last season when the pork chop fell on the floor. Now THAT was exciting content.

It’s a bad day when a show makes you think fondly of the action packed episodes of Oak Island.
Maybe the fellowship could put the Hoffmans in once of their pits and fill it in with concrete would at least be a great end for both shows
