Damn bro, imagine you're just entered a room, and you dont see any threat whatsoever, its just your, the walls, and your light but then this start to plays
I love that ominous gong sound, combined with the keyboard tones it really makes you feel like you are in the shaded citadel. A Dark, Quiet, Ominous place filled with alien technology and dying memories.
Sounds fantastic, you got that lead synth just right!
Probably the closest a threat theme has ever sounded like one from the official game; which makes sense, given that Shaded Citadel is from the official game

Wow, if this started playing in Shaded Citadel I think I'd be terrified. The instruments remind me of other horror games I've played, but it still has that Rain World vibe. It all fits very well together, very cool!

Love the use of the theremin and skittering sounds.
i love the clicks, theyre somewhere between miros birds, spiders, and centipedes!! it also makes the little creatures (me) in my brain happy

Dang, this is fantastic! The instrumentation is very fitting of Rain World, and the tone captures the Shaded Citadel amazingly-- I'd genuinely love to hear this in game
I love it, it's very Rain World-y and it creates a really nice chilly/melancholic ambiance.
May I ask what kind of software did you use to make it? I'm trying to get into making electronic music and your stuff is very very inspiring :D

I made this in FL Studio, which I find is really nice for videogame-y music. In terms of synthesisers I’ve found myself using Harmor, Tyrelln6 and Podolski the most, for my Rain World tracks at least.

recently learned how to put mods and now i just can't go through sc if it doesn't have this threat song. it's just so good i intentionally jump on spiders just to hear it, awesome work :D
Really interesting effect going on, my door currently is situated in front of a bathroom with a fan on. The fan sounds exactly like the rising static noise that sometimes comes on in this song. I thought the bathroom was exploding a few times not gonna lie

came here from the workshop mod - this is really good stuff! i've always been a little bothered that some regions have no threat music, and while i haven't yet listened to most of the other tracks featured in the main mod, i get the feeling it's exactly what i've been hoping for

This is such a good sound track! Wish it was in the game it fits perfectly. Hopefully with downpour it's easier to mod things maybe someone could make it to where we could add custom music into the game becase I would totally add this!
Thank you! And I've actually done that already haha, you can add this song to Shaded through the Custom Regions mod's ingame browser.
I do also plan on adding it to the workshop when Downpour comes out :)

That pitter patter sound effect.. yeah i can imagine those being the spiders slowly scuttling towards the lost slugcat in the dark

I guess music would always play if it was in the game cause you are always in danger in Shaded Citadel.

This is the only music track I’m making for the OTMW mod rn, but there’s more music that will be in it - just not made by me :)
(though I will be making rain world music for other projects in the future!)

@@crazycat7584 idk how much has been revealed, and even I don’t know a lot of the details tbh - it’s called ‘Over the Moon’s Wall’, and as you might expect it expands the world from LttM’s superstructure. Plus there’s some changes to existing regions, one of them being shaded :)

I feel like this could be used in a workshop mod, I like this piece quite a bit.
I'll definitely release this as a workshop mod! Just waiting on the release of another mod that fixes custom threat music (since it doesn't work with mods currently). Stay tuned :)

It really fits the feeling of being hunted in the Dark, by things that have only ever known darkness. It’s not a battle, like in the garbage wastes, nor a chase, but the knowledge that you ARE prey, and your predator only has to wait for you to walk into their jaws.
