I have been helping my people with cancer. It’s still a strange thing to share, but I send them your way. I’m in Missouri, I find turkey tails, and lots of Chaga, Mullein, goldenrod. Thank you so much for sharing!! Stay strong. Love to all.
I just sent this video to my 3 Aunts back home in Missouri. I played I the woods born and raised there ( Mexico Mo), and I remember seeing all those as a kid. 30 years in Oregon now.
Well done kate.
Excellent video! Professional-looking staging, high-res video, a good, knowledgeable speaker! No umms, you knows, and misspoken words. Well done info on a very important superfood.
@5:53, a force of nature took over and I hiked up the tiny old ski hill where I'm staying to survey the Birch. No Chaga on live Birch on the east side of the power line. On the west side I found a twinned Birch with a Chaga chunk sticking out of a honker, so I popped off the one that was sticking out first then when I barely hand my hand on the big chunk it broke off without tools. What a gift. Feels like the whole chunk weighs a kilo or more. Excellent video as always.
Thank you for producing educational videos! I actually just finished reading the fungal pharmacy so finding this video was incredibly synchronous!!
Very thankful to have a teacher such as Yarrow. Great video.
"Take all that with a grain of dulse" love this lol. 😊
Look up this dude I got my stuff from him on instagram and telegram he ship to anywhere--

To me it tastes like the forest. I love it! I love earthy tastes and smells though, personally.
Thank you so much Yarrow Willard🌺...your clarity and sharing style is excellent!!! I’m so Blessed to have connected with your teachings your work. Abundant Blessings...
I am going to try making chaga kombucha with a second ferment of vanilla bean, cocoa nibs and maybe a couple of cherries!
Sounds devine!! I'm wondering though, with it's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, does it work or does it kill the mother?
Laura Ritter lets us know if it ferments well please
Laura Ritter that sounds so good
@Laura Ritter ore you ok?
You'll need to use a base of actual tea for kombucha to culture. Just thinking, an oolong tea might go well with chaga since both are deep thick and rich; they might pair well. Please let us all know how it turns out! And keep trying if the first batch does not turn out. Use a new scoby and fresh culture and do it again tweaking your recipe until you reach perfection. You ideas sound adventurous. Go for it.
Gosh, WOW. I watch a LOT of these videos and this one was GREAT! Thanks for not dumbing it down. I want to find some chaga on San Juan Island in Washington State so bad!!
Awesome Video Thank You. We live in a Herbal renaissance right now, or that is what it feels like to me. Awesome.
Great comprehensive video about this magical mushroom. Love it!
Great videos, bro. Very informative. The more info on these great herbs and fungi that gets out there, the better.
Wonderful information - Thank You for taking the time to go so in depth on this favorite of mine :)
So excited to have found this channel.
Excellent content and so well produced!
Love it dude, keep the good info coming! Thank you
Your amazing and I so respect all you do, love to all of you there.
Just began hunting mushrooms in CT. The overview of processing very useful, thanks.
Amazing, love people like you who are experts in their craft
Great video brotha, very informative. A few months ago me and a buddy of mine harvested some from the berkshire mountain area in western Massachusetts. I have around 30 lbs now. Been drinking it every day for almost 2 months now. I also have a few mason jars sitting of half chaga powder and half absolute vodka. I am lucky that I do not live too far from areas that have chaga so I have been able to get my own. Thanks for the video!!
Great informational video Yarrow!
Thank You so Much. Learning is Wisdom...
Thanks, great video! What I like about your presentation is that you always give plenty of information, so even some of us can go and get the plants and make something useful, like tinctures and teas etc.. This is win/win at work, thanks for your integrity with a happy face :-) I do make simple decoctions by picking some Linghzy conk mushroom and soak it in Vodka. Then strain and simmer the mushrooms in water, adding the water to the alcohol which makes a simple tincture. I add this to my herb tea and boy, did it correct a lot of my health issues! Keep it up, "I love Herbal Jedi"
Thank you for this information !!! Very interesting i appreciate it!
Yes please bring us more videos on the benefits and uses of chaga. Paul stamets has shown us in many of his videos and his public speeches about the benefits other world of mycelium.

Ooooga Chaga Oooooga Chaga 🎵 🎧 Just my crazy thought. 😊Thanks for the info.
Love your mantel. Thank you for your work
Wow... You are so fascinatingly intelligent about herbs and and plants and it seems everything about nature. It would take me forever to gain just half of your knowledge and at so young. But I have to remind myself that you have had a lifetime learning all this since your father is an expert also.
Thanks for the video. We have been enjoying your Shiljit from Lifestyles market in Victoria. keep the video's coming:)
thank you for explaining this with a lot of science- i dig it!! i just ordered a large sack of your chaga chunks....namaste' !
Thank you so much! wonderful!
thank you, very timely !
This is great! More please.
Great video. There's a decent amount here in Northeastern Ontario Canada 🍁 ☺. I have quite a bit that I've dried. I like the taste of it. It took away my fever when I was getting chemotherapy in 2016. I still drink it today. It lasts a long time. I reuse the same small pieces for tea at least 6 to 8 times. Yes there is a proper ethical way to harvest it ☺. I enjoy your videos.
Very informative and interesting too. Thanks
Really excellent; thank you!
Wow! Great video!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
Thank you so very much
Very informative - on the tree side Chaga is classed as a brown rot. A tree can't heal itself nor can we heal the tree. What it can do is to create woodwound around ie. a spot where a branch falls off. It can also initiate a process of tylosis where wood cells go through a process of occlusion. The tree creates a line of defense against intruding fungi by filling some cells with protective substances. You can see these often dark lines in spalted wood. It can, however , take many years for Chaga to kill a birch tree. On another note there are a few contraindications. If you are going to have surgery your Doctor will likely want you to stop taking Chaga 2 weeks prior since it has a blood thinning effect. If you are on blood thinners you should talk to your Doctor about this also. Chaga can also reduce blood sugar so if you are on diabetic medication you will need to closely monitor your levels and your medication may need to be adjusted. Ladies who are concerned about estrogen levels also have to have them checked more often if taking Chaga. I just finished my second cup of Chaga tea for today - trying to get rid of this awful cough. The Chaga is so much nicer than the Birch Polypore tea. Nothing ever gets wasted - the final step will be to use all the residue and leftovers to make a Chaga tea for the garden!
Exceptionally well done
very awesome info ...!
so good thank you!!!
Love your video ⚕🍄
Thank you Yarrow
Interesting. Will take advice and research further.thanks
I drank self harvested Chaga Tea for a long time then stopped. At first I was totally aware like right off the bat, then i felt nothing. I thought it was doing nothing for me. I guess you can't "feel" some benefits. Thanks Yarrow, you are my Herbal Jedi!
Sounds like something earthy, which would be very grounding. Then you mentioned it used in a substitute for coffee. Gotta try some! Thank you. This was very interesting & informative!
I'm going to start drinking that tea again and using the water!
lovely channel Bro. keep it coming
Thank you. ✌🏼️

Love your dispensary, i would love to visit!! 😊☮️🙏❤️

Interesting video. Going to have to watch it again in the morning when I'm not so tired. Maybe do some more research. First video I've seen when you weren't in the woods or forrest somewhere. Lots of questions on this "growth" maybe you covered them. Like I said I'm going to have to watch again in the morning.
I do agree it does help some trees seal a wound but It does not come out of the ground as stated but lives in the pith of the wood. This sometimes weakens the tree and makes it suseptaple to wind damage snapping off the stem. It is a parasite in the strictest sense of the word. The back and forth battle with the trees immune system is what gives the chaga some of it's healthy compounds. This may in turn strengthen the trees immune system as well.
I just bought some on the bay after seeing this :-)
I'm making my third batch of tincher from the same chunks. I soak it in Teto's vodka for a couple of months. I first started using it for severe stomach problems.
You are my new teacher, i am running to your school everyday, a apple for you, please give me detension, the best school ever.
They grow on Black Birch in NW Missouri.
awesome info. do have these products at your store front ?
Epic
We would like to know what you would suggest for a beginners guide to learn about plants and herbs?
upgraded form of water😂👍 love you😘
Have you done any videos on birch polypore medicinal benefits if not it would be great to see one I just subscribed to your channel it is great thanks for all of the great information.
Wow! It’s amazing video! I just passed by your channel and boom! Love it! Question: Is it whole chaga on your wall?
i love u so much yarrow willard
Hello love yr all videos and thank you so much for sharing good knowledge.. please let me know how I can bye this conga mushroom.. Regrds
Nice store.
Hi Yarrow, on dead tree I found this lightly ringed all white mushrooms (turkey tail size) with underside pores somewhat lined. Smooth white surface. Hardy like turkey tail. Dry. Edible?
Yarrow, any more new info on old orchards being helped. Could you cover something about that? I have a half dozen apples that are 60+ years old. They got beaten badly by the snow this winter.
Curious if you have an allergy to penicillin, would it be safe to use chaga? Or maybe would it be beneficial to use like immune building? Thanks for sharing your wealth and being youtubular !
Legit 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️🍄🍄🍄🍄🥰
Id love to hear your review about another birch specific mushroom - the birch polypore. 🌞🍄💚
I buy your mushroom powders at the CFS all the time. Maybe I will try some chunks and use the tea for my hot cereal water also ❤
Thank you for this video. SO informative! I have a question maybe you can answer. Does chaga that has been ground into powder form need to be boiled for hours like the chunks do or does the grinding break down the cell wall enough to immediately release the benefits? Thank you!
same question!
Love your videos! Had a question, recently I found a dead birch tree with a large chaga on it. I’ve heard you cannot use chaga from a dead tree, is this true?
Following for answer.
Mistletoe from birch has good stuff too…especially for heart
I Love Chaga Teas as a base for hot chocolate. By the way Cacao has more antioxidants than chaga. Alcohol chaga extracts is very antiviral. very interesting Minerals in Chaga too.
Your videos are bomb.
I leart so much
Hi, l found some Chaga mushroom growing on a very old oak tree living in a meadow near to the sea also found some Chaga on a silver- birch in the forest not far from my home here in North-wales UK
I would only use the one from the birch and not the oak tree
I know this sounds stupid, but I like my two classes of wine daily, which tires me, so will chaga still give me energy, and which should a I Choose?
Love your videos! Can you make kombucha tea with chaga?
Hi Yarrow, I found a chaga quite a while ago ( a couple or a few years ago?). Is it still good? Did it lose any nutrient value/medicinal properties?
Thank you in advance!
Dude!! where are you located? that place looks awesome!!
How long do you boil it for? I’ve read 4-5 mins and also 30mins
You have a ahop?? What a beautiful place!
Would like to see you brew the tea. Some of us done tone how.fo we put it in a pot with water and bring to a rolling boil with those chunks in the water and then strain it?????
