Yes! she’s so awkward when flirting etc but when it comes down to important moments she always seems to come out with the stuff you always wish you said in hindsight. Wish I had that skill!!
@@KB-xu2sp Same! When Alex talked to Jason at the basketball court after he cheated on her she was like I still have feelings for you but he didn’t really give her the time of day. The way Lauren reacted was definitely NOT something Jason had experienced after cheating on a girl. He followed her around trying to talk to her and calling her. When he showed up at her house he probably thought he could talk his way out of it. But Lauren wasn’t having it! And good for her! It’s funny how the tables were turned and Jason drives over to see Lauren and tells her it sucks because he still has feelings for her, in the same way Alex pursued Jason on the basketball court. In Lauren’s case Jason looked like he had no idea what to do. For once a girl was holding him personally responsible for HIS actions. For whatever reason girls never blame the guy in these situations, they always blame the girl. Lauren’s anger was placed exactly where it should have been. And ultimately resulted in showing what happens when you hold the right person accountable. Also it’s not like this happened at house party or school dance. For this to take place at a charity event that she organized to raise money for the victims is horrible and no doubt embarrassing. But she stayed and got the job done. I’m sure it also hits very different when you actually see it happen vs the other girls who were told by someone else that he had cheated on them.

I feel like the reason Jason was trying hard to win Lauren back is because he’s used to doing what he wants and then the girls instantly take him back, but Lauren didn’t even want him touching her after he did what he did. He’s not used to having someone close the door on him like that and that’s probably what made him start trying harder. You realize he was all on Jessica as if it was nothing right in front of Lauren but as soon as he wasn’t able to lie and hug his way out of it he started to chase her harder.
I think if Lauren would’ve heard him out at the fashion show and let him hug all on her while blaming it all on Jessica he wouldn’t care as much…. but she stood her ground and he wasn’t used to that.

I definitely think Kristin was rude at Lauren's house because she was nervous and intimidated by her. At that point, I feel like both of them wanted to be friends/friendly but didn't know how to act.
A couple of awkwardos
All around awful. If you're hosting you at least get up and make an effort to greet newcomers, not sit stewing with your back to the entrance. And Kirsten should have walked over and said hi as well. And Stephen? Damn. Why does he bro hug girls? Touching a girl's nape is a big no no.
@@PerryCuda You are definitely right. Lauren should have made the first move..that's how it usually goes. Kristin made her move to come inside and then it was Lauren's turn to make a move. When Kristin says "Princess Lauren" that one time...that's what this episode makes me think of. If someone wants to really blame someone though...Stephen was extra rude. cause Kristin has an excuse to be standoffish.
Common sense 101 is when you enter into someone’s home you speak to them and Kristin was definitely rude for not speaking (unless it was edited out) but yeah she was definitely rude to Lauren
Whitney and Timmy cringing every time Stephen says or does something awkward (which is pretty much anytime he's on screen in season two) is cracking me up.

I always thought Stephen kind of made it worse because he gave Kristin an escape from the situation even though he probably was trying to help. Lauren was the one who extended an olive branch by inviting them but they should have made some space for Kristin and Alex around the table when they arrived since everyone knew it would be awkward for them to walk in. I also think that the way Stephen acted around Kristin made it more difficult for Lauren to make the first move and go talk to Kristin.

Whit my mother in law has been a fertility nurse for about 20 years. She told me the fact that you can get pregnant at all is HUGE! Plus you have already had a healthy full term pregnancy. Again, HUGE. She said you will definitely have another healthy pregnancy if her experience is anything at all 🥰 Sending so much love to you three!
Whitney's cool but just remember that this comment could also be unhelpful to someone who is waiting for a baby - like if it doesn't happen for you, you feel worse. I went through secondary infertility for years and I got my little rainbow baby so you're probably right but I kinda hated when people acted like I was crazy to worry cause I already had a kid

That last scene with Jason and Lauren is what made us (most of us ) fall in love with Lauren. We all had a bad boy that we wanted to change, but ended up getting screwed over. We all saw a bit of our high-school selves in her and related. I know I did. They did a great job setting up the hills with this episode

Ok but what I always LOVED about the scene where Lauren and Jason talk, is the moment where he goes "I still like you" and she ignores him. Because it perfectly parallels the conversation between him and Alex M, where she tells Jason she still has feelings for him and he just blanks her and stares into the distance. It's like he got a bit of his karma.

From my understanding and I watched the Laguna beach cast interviews, Steven and Kristen were together, they were on a break , Steven and Lauren hooked up and Steven was caught lying about hooking up and they ended up in a bathroom Kristen and lauren comparing stories or whatever, yes I was invested in this “love triangle “ when I was in highschool

I think Lauren and Kristin we’re both intimidated of each other maybe not in the first season but definitely now I think they both knew the power each of them hold. Lauren knows that Kristin is so dominant and I think Kristen knows LC fan favourite especially at this time she has her own show coming out she too can be very assertive and probably didn’t want to come off a kiss ass? If that makes sense. Even her being “nervous”
To walk in as dominant as she is I think she was a tad intimated esp in her house.

Kristin’s behavior, especially in this episode, it a huge reason why back then I was “team Lauren”. I knew girls like her in high school and didn’t like how they treated people.
Did you also know girls who spent the prior year trying to steal another girls boyfriend??? Kristin & Lauren were NEVER friends so I can imagine the awkwardness going to a girls house that you don't particularly don't care for. 🤷♂️

Meanwhile, Kristin was actively cheating on Stephen (which she admitted) and they were an on-again-off-again, messy couple anyway. If anything Lauren got caught up in their BS when she should have steered clear of them both.

@@haute03 Lauren wasnt trying to steal Stephen - Kristen and Stephen had a funny relationship where you never knew if they were on or off. Kristen even admitted in one of these episodes that the only reason she went after Stephen was because she didnt want Lauren to have him. Plus yes Stephen played them both and ended up with neither. Could not stand him at times.
@@haute03 Lauren had a huge crush on Stephen and for sure enjoyed every bit of attention she got from him and they were hanging out a lot because they were friends. Stephen was entertaining the situation and lying to both of them. But do we see Lauren actively trying to steal Stephen from Kristin when they were actually together? More like hoping he would choose her. To Lauren Stephen was constantly bad mouthing Kristin and telling he was over her so no wonder she was keeping her hopes up. I actually liked both Lauren and Kristin for different reasons and looking back Stephen and the producers were really the bad guys here.

My sis and I were the caterers (food only) that night. We did a few other episodes, mostly for the production crew. They all wanted to drink “unapproved drinks” so they brought red solo cups. I mean, it made sense to high schoolers.

23:06 Jessica telling Jason to call Lauren and wishing him luck in life was poignant and makes me think of "if you love someone, set them free..." motto. She knew she and Jason would always have a physical/sexual attraction, but he'd found love with Lauren. Her maturity at this moment made me warm to her.

2) I feel like the last episode and this one is when Lauren really came into her own.
C) Kristin was just rude in this episode. And frankly so was Stephen. He plays both of them like a fiddle. It’s really gross behavior and neither of them deserve that. He did it as a boyfriend and he does it as a friend too.

I wholeheartedly agree! Having also been there in life knowing my active addiction choices were not the true me choices- I genuinely feel for him.
For sure, two things can be true. He really hurt and manipulated people to the point of emotional abuse but it’s also clear that he was really struggling. Glad he’s doing better now and I hope the people he hurt were able to find peace too!

I don’t really think Lauren was trying to steal Stephen from Kristin. I think he was playing them both and had them thinking he wanted to be with them. Also Kristin and Stephen’s relationship timeline seemed to be very on and off

I heard the other day someone say “things don’t happen for a reason but you need to make a reason to make it worth it.” And I think your reason in maybe helping you heal is helping others and bringing awareness & that is very much appreciated as someone who couldn’t have a baby for a very long time. No one talks about it & it’s incredibly lonely so I thank you guys for sharing your journey so openly with so many people. Whether you see it directly or not, you are helping many people. I wish you all the best, I’m happy for you guys.
I did IVF and we only had 3 viable embryos in the end after collecting 12 eggs. We have an 18 month old, sadly the second didn't succeed and now I am 7 months pregnant with the third. Sending good vibes that this works out for you both.

Kristen really showed her immaturity in this episode lol you’ll never see LC lower herself to insult someone’s home like that, she has class & a sense of self-preservation about her that I respect a lot. She has a handle on her emotions vs Kristen who is just a mess in every episode, every season, every show she is on. I’m pretty sure she was doing drugs and drinking a lot during this time too so no wonder why.

Thank you Whitney for sharing your journey. And it's so wonderful how you are keeping it positive. I wasn't able to do that during my ivf journey.. We've been trying for 3+yrs, husband enlisted in the national guard, came back after 7 long months and the following year conceived naturally but then my baby went to heaven a little before 12 weeks. After trying again, we decided to take the next step. After 3 IUIs, and 2 IVFs, I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. And I remember the egg retrieval was the most difficult process and waiting for the updates everyday was uneasy. When I look back at it, I wish I wasn't so hard on myself. But it's great to see that you are holding it well and I know everything we see here isn't all, but I hope for the best to you and your family.
PLEASE PLEASE. PLEASE...... Do Laguna Beach season 3 because Chase has a band and Timmy can play air drum's & air guitar while they practice & do gigs. He will be a happy camper & so will I, LOL

Guys, I’ve been thinking about you during that excruciating wait for the embryologist call and then the 10 days or so for news from the genetic testing. I’ve never been more on pins and needles in my entire life than during that waiting period. It totally can vary a ton on genetically normal rates. I was exceedingly lucky and sent 13 embryos to test (yikes $7600 just for that) and only two were abnormal. But each person has such a different situation. I was never able to get pregnant spontaneously, so that makes more sense for my situation. But I’ve got everything crossed and all the positive vibes out for you all. I’m so thankful to you for sharing about this and continuing to break the stigmas. You’ve got a legion of infertility warriors who understand and are rooting you on!
All the best to you guys....thank you for being so open. We wanted two, my first pregnancy, we were told the baby had biliary atresia..she was perfectly healthy, save for my doctor inducing me early. I got pregnant a year later and I lost her at 28 weeks. We decided after many emotional conversations we were done. I wish you all the best!!! ETA: laurens dad was the architect for Kristen and her families new home, which was similar to Laurens...both families were very wealthy, however, after the 08 crash in the housing market, LCs father had to sell that home. Taylor seemed to be super obsessed with Kristen to even say something so petty.

There’s a probability she talked to a Lauren and they edited out just to make it seem as if they both have beef. The same happened during Heidi’s wedding on The Hills and they both have said they talked and even hugged. It was not that big of a deal but the producers prefer this storyline.

Kristin was intentionally rude in this episode. I like her, but that wasn’t cool. Another reason why people tend to side with Lauren. And to Timmy’s comment about Lauren trying to steal Stephen from Kristin, I think by now we should all know the issue was Stephen constantly leading her on, while he was dating someone. Plus, we never saw Lauren actively pursuing him or doing anything shady (at least on camera).
I recon she did say hi in passing but then didnt have much of a conversation at all. By this point kristin has seen that she’s been made out to be the bitch/villain against Lauren and she’s said that it did really affect/upset her and her family. When in reality she was the victim of being cheated on by Stephen and Lauren but it was made out that we should be team Lauren so she maybe just didnt want to be caught on camera with Lauren and could be made out to be the baddy again, although by not speaking to her (if she did) or them editing her not speaking to her it still make her look bad. Lose lose situation for kristins character here
Agree, I think it goes a long with Lauren never wanting to disappoint her family on TV by her actions. So while she was hopeful or open to Stephen dumping Kristin for her she wouldn't engage in cheating with him while he was still dating Kristin.
@@nancyd4250 She did though, just not on tv. She read a diary excerpt in the hills when she goes back to Laguna when her parents sold her house that talks about her first kiss with Stephen - so they were hooking up during that time.
But Kristen openly admitted that she was a female version of Jason and always cheated on her boyfriends. She can’t play the victim in the whole Lauren-Stephen-Kristin love triangle and then go cheat on your boyfriends at the same time. That’s quite contradictory.
@@beccacrazy1 I believe that Stephen and Lauren were friends before he dated or knew Kristin. Kristin moved to Laguna in high school. So, her first kiss with him could have occurred before Kristin.

Right after I watched this video I saw where Kristin & her business is getting sued for copying another jewelry designer. Apparently the designer has sent KCav several letters requesting she quit selling the “copied” pieces & in true Kristin form she totally ignored the letters so now it’s gone to the courts. Also the documents call Kristin’s pieces “poorly made cheap knockoffs.” 😳

I am not religious at all, but through out my day you and your fertility journey frequently pops into my thoughts. And I do find myself saying a little prayer for you.
I know the world doesn’t work this way but you deserve it.
Whit’s, I love my baby but series saved me during a really difficult postpartum time period. And I will forever be grateful to you both for it. I can’t express how much it meant, but it was the first steps in accepting who I am.
Your channel and community you have created has supported me in a lot more since. I sat and watched silently through out all the lockdowns just soaking in all the good vibes - again thank you!

Hey Whitney, so glad that you're sharing your fertility journey with us. Egg quality does deteriorate but mens sperm becomes "watered" down with age too. I just see so many women putting the blame on their own bodies when in reality, it's a combination of things.

P.S. I live in Dana Point which is down the street from Laguna Beach and I can assure you those locations are beautiful and accessible. Parking can be a pain but most of the time you can find it and free. 😄

I am 4 years older than Lauren and I so wish that I could have seen these episodes in high school. She would have been my role model when it comes to standing up to guys. Listening to Whitney's story reminded me of my aunt's, she tried for almost 10 year to get pregnant. She underwent several in vitros without luck until she gave up. A few months later, she got pregnant at 42. There is always hope!
