I’m sorry but I’m so tired of Jessica. She’s just so whiny and insecure and the whole gym scene was really frustrating because she tries way too hard with guys and just can’t seem to realize that she’s making herself way too available for guys who aren’t even committing to her. It would be really frustrating being her friend.

I really love Alex H. and Jessica's friendship. All of the scenes with just the two of them are so sweet. Alex really listens to Jessica, isn't afraid to tell her when she's in the wrong, but also they seem to genuinely like each other.
I could see how draining being around Jessica could be. She was extremely whiny, always asking questions and needing assurance. She constantly needed coddling when it came to her friendships/relationships
It makes me feel so sad for her
it's really sad bc she's clearly been put in a lot of awful situations that make her feel like she needs to do this, but that's also a lot to put on a high school relationship too.

Cameron IS the new Stephen. Trying to bounce around between two gals, not being fully honest with either one, playing at being a nice guy.
Didn't it come out later that Stephen was put up to that, and it was basically fake? Or, do you mean they're trying to use the same storyline?

Nah. I mean certain scenes on the show itself were set up by producers, but Stephen %100 was hooking up with Lauren when he &Kristin were going through a rough patch and then lied about it later when he and Kristin were back together, and wasn't honest with Lauren about him trying to get back together with Kristin while they were still fooling around. All three of them admitted to a real and messy love triangle in real life in interviews, and the producers used it to their advantage.
No, Stephen wasn’t a frat boy wannabe dick. He was actually lovable.
I would like to see Newport after this season just because it was a direct spinoff of Laguna Beach.

I wonder what it was like for Cami being one of the few people of color living in Laguna Beach. I remember when I went to Laguna almost 10 years ago, people kept looking at us like we were martians. This teenaged girl walking behind my sister commented to another boy that my sister's hair has to be fake because it is long and she is black. Also, some teen boy looked at me and commented on how big my behind was to his friends. No one said anything bad, but it was just interesting seeing their reaction to us for a day. I went back to Laguna Beach 3 years ago and everyone was so kind and lovely, so it really spoke volumes of how the times changed. Otherwise, I recommend visiting Laguna Beach to everyone. That town is so beautiful.

She said in the live with kyndra and laguna bi-otch that she didn't like feedback from watchers who said she "acted White" and then she said that's she's only 1/4 Black. No condemnation, just an interesting observation since she phenotypically presents a bit differently. I did feel bad that she got so much hate in college that she didn't pursue a sorority
@zackattack9772 You're absolutely right, however, I do want to mention Tessa has Filipino descent, but of course, she is a lot more white passing so I'm sure their experiences were vastly different. Definitely agree that it shaped Cami's bitchy personality, it was a projection of her own experiences I'm sure!
Maybe her bratty attitude was a reaction to this exact experience. Also she probably wants to stay on Kyndra’s good side because Cami knows Kyndra can make her the outcast by snapping her fingers.
It’s the prettiest beach I’ve ever been to, I have a cute memory of going into a caved lagoon area and had a first kiss there
Here's a theory of why Breanna doesn't like Tessa. I think it's all to do with Tessa being the lead cast member, perhaps Breanna thought that the crown would automatically go to her with her being Lauren's sister. Then with Rocky becoming close with Tessa that just pushed Breanna over the edge. This may be why we aren't getting to hear the real reason on camera as they cant refer to themselves as being on a show. What do you all think?

There is one season that was like a spin off after this season. Its called Newport Harbor. Same opening song. Same theme, Newport Kids though. Its actually a very good one too. If you are looking for your next reaction :)

This is my attempt to lobby for Newport harbor. I can’t get enough of privileged California teens from the early aughts dammit
I randomly knew a guy from Canada who went to prom with Tessa, and she came to his too. I think they were family friends or something. but I remember hearing she was super down to earth and not at all affected by the show. I think I remember seeing his face in the background of one of these episodes lol

Watching this, i cant believe they didn’t do another season 🤣 so much material. This episode especially. This is the first instant that this cast were more interesting than the previous one
Especially when Rocky, Tessa & Kyndra (basically every girl this season, actually) was a junior. Like why not show their senior year? I'm mad at the lame-ass viewership decline or whatever the hell happened to opt out of continuing w/ this cast!
Actually they did another spin off but it only lasted 12 episodes- Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County.
Probably the ratings were low. People like me didn't give this season a fair chance. I remember not liking the first episodes of the Hills, because they kept showing Lauren at work, but when Jason came back...ooooweee 😂.
They probably just figured they’d focus on the hills and a spin off of that eventually (the city) but I do wish they’d kept some resources with this cast and these storylines! I find myself more invested than I thought I’d be

Every episode I’m bummed this was only one season! I think after this the recap needs to be the ONE season of Newport Beach MTV did after this was cancelled. It also may be time for Timmy to produce his own show in a beach town ❤️

you two are a great example of what a relationship can be.... individually you figured your life out/career etc and could live just fine without the other BUT together, level each other up, work well together, have fun... its not supposed to be hard, its supposed to be easy in a sense. THAT is what a relationship is supposed to be. You shouldn't "need" anyone however your significant other can definitely help bring out the best version of you.... just be careful not to confuse that with changing someone... never chase that, find someone who matches your expectation rather than fixing someone who doesnt. But also.... dont have insane requirements no human can match haha
I saw a clip of Martha Stewart making a bed and she said that she uses a flat sheet in place of a fitted sheet, because the elastic breaks down on the fitted sheet and is a pain in the ass to fold

Dicks Last Resort is a chain restaurant. They literally make fun of you the entire time, make u wear hats that have VERY inappropriate sayings on them that they write for example “your mom should have spit instead of swallowed”. 😳 lol the most awkward meal u will ever have.

If your hotel bed has a top sheet as a fitted sheet, it's because that's the OLD and USED top sheet. And, by the way, first thing you should do when entering the room is to remove the throw blanket and pillows (those never get cleaned), and please do NOT drink from the glasses and mugs you find in your room. Maids work extremely hard, but some things they just can't control or cope with.
Getting out of laguna and going to college would've been good for Jessica. I know she's a family oriented woman bow but in the show here she's basically spinning on a hamster wheel and making no progress. It's not said if she's working or studying in laguna but it seems like she's just there and hanging around the high school crowd is kind of depressing 😔

So happy you are doing the Season 3 reaction videos!! I don't know why I enjoyed this Season, it's almost like it's so bad it's good😅 Happy to know I'm not the only one who liked it. I wonder if Tessa was chosen as lead before she got sick because it wasn't until after her illness she was no longer in the "group." I don't remember when but the girls mention with her being gone stories were compared and didn't add up, so I guess they felt she lief about stuff...then again her not being around was an easy way to push her out. BTW, Rocky is amazing, my favorite cast member hands down!!!😁 (sorry so long😅)
