I guess you could say it was... JUST RACING.

No “like and subscribe” before you’ve even seen the video too. Well done
Read the name of this youtube chanell 'JUST RACING' and not just intro
and no annoying guy with who thinks he's cool to narrate and make fun of people in these clips
2021 was an amazing year to motorsport, not because of the crashes, but because we have seen how safe motorsport has come through the years.
Some of these crashes would've had fatalities like 20 years ago it's great to see how safe the vehicles are
Tracks need to be updated though. The cars are far out pacing the safety of the tracks. Spa needs to not be spitting crashes out into the racing line. 2019 with Hubert's tragedy and now its just the opposite side of the track that is causing problems. 2019s cars were safe but its hitting at a dead stop that kills. That sudden impact is how trauma happens.
@@itzseffery8020 Surely the tracks need some rework on some parts, specially the old school ones like Nordschleife and, as you said, Spa Francorchamps.
@@DonutMotorsport no doubt! But to you comment yes, the safety of these machines is absolutely incredible and the engineers building these things deserve an incredible amount of praise.
@@itzseffery8020 They are currently working on Spa, should be ready by the summer.
0:44 dude held onto his notes the whole time. respect lol
Nah the adrenaline made his hands clench up. I remember slipping down school stairs after come back from lunch during winter, and I was holding a can of kickstart, well when I fell my hands instantly squeezed as hard as they could -popping the can, in that period of time and I didnt notice it at all. crazy how adrenaline works
in rally the notes matter more than both the driver and the co-driver
6:07 was absolutely terrifying. I remember when it first happened and clips started circulating, I fully expected the Huracan driver to be dead. An absolute testament to modern safety that he was ok and moving immediately after the crash.
jack aitken
@@sembogaming Broke his back.
It's insane how long they've waited to finally work on eau rouge. In my eyes it isn't quite enough to just redesign the runout area on the left side up the hill... while the top right side is contricted by terrain this part is less than optimal either.
I also think there should be a marshal looking at nothing but eau rouge. as soon as a car came off track with considerable speed eau rouge should be double yellowed and not by another marshal who's gonna look for his flags for ages but by a shit ton of lights possible even in track so that track speed can be lowered in an instant.
And quite frankly I genuinely don't understand hamilton who argued eau rouge should not experiences _any_ changes after he saw Hubert die there...
@@boahneelassmal chain bear made an awesome video about it

Aitken is indestructible
2:33 crazy how strong the cages really are
Yeah, I had to rewatch that several times. It appears the roll cage caved in too???
⁶
@@CodyOsborn1 the camera fell or moved sideways
@@Helself Nop, it definitely deformed. You can see few bars are bent if you pause on 2:36
You can see yet again that F1 cars are by far the most durable and safe cars in motor racing. I mean a 300+ kph crash and Verstappen is able to stand up thats technological progress right there
I think Nascar's are but F1 cars are pretty durable
@KonaGaming i think they mean that Nascar stock cars are specifically more durable, since they can bump into each other whithout breaking apart
@@Dinodawson42 If Grosjean was driving NASCAR during 2020 Bahrain GP, he would be dead 100%
Only F1 car could handle this impact.
@@ItsMorbinTime03 oh not saying i agreed with that point, i definitely think the F1 is the safer of the two. I meant that when 2 Nascar bump into each other, they are more likely to dent each other, whereas an F1 cars would more likely break pieces off each other, but of course that in turn makes it safer since it redirects the impact, rather than absorbing it
@@ItsMorbinTime03 he won't he would live with a stock car those things are very safe they can take any impact
4:54 imagine the fear of realising your throttle is stick and you're going into a corner
Nice editing, quick and to the point!
The fact that I'm pretty sure all of these drivers (or at the very least most of them) walked away from these is a testament to how far motorsport safety equipment has come in recent years.
Unfortunately not everyone has survived in the past as the safety before wasn't good at all r.i.p to those
1:12 that is Enzo Fittipaldi, he's injured
@@retmania That is why I added on "most of them"
@@yonah1226 So what are you talking about?. Everyone in the past, who isn't in this video?
Verstappen walked away but had to go to the hospital
No talking, no bullshit. Just pure raw crashes. This is a great video. 👍
Perfect highlight video. Just what we wanted from the title, no interruptions, diverse motorsport variety, no click bait. Keep it up
2:29 is absolutely brutal. The entire right hand side roll cage disintegrates into the car and the driver has no steering wheel after the crash. His gear changer also dislocated to anywhere.
I noticed that on number 22 as well, you can see the roof bars of the cage completely collapse after the 4 or 5th roll
I am sorry to all the racing fans but the Eau rouge /Raidillon section needs to go. Very dangerous and unnecessary imho.
@@parnavad1794 uh
@@parnavad1794 There is a line between working to minimize the dangers that come with motorsport, and to start taking the motorsport out of the equation. I'd rather watch drone-like cars piloted from sim-rigs in the paddock than taking out turns from circuits or power from cars (neither I want that, it's just a "rather").
I don't think it disintegrated, I think it just seems like it because of how the camera fell
Mannnnnn.... I have to give you credit.. this selection was BRUTAL!! thanks!
Those top three were freaking VICIOUS.
god im hyped your videos are always amazing
I thought Jack Atiken's crash was gonna top the list, but this is a fair list, that drag racing crash was nasty
Did the drivers even survive in the last clip ?
@@mathieuschafer1360 ya they survived

6:16 Oh that doesn’t look that ba…

My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me Giorgio

Oh dear oh dear...
6:07 In this accident, the problem of the Eau Rouge/Radillon curve sequence is very clear. The car hits the tire barrier and returns to the track. Then the car from behind arrives at high speed and hits the car that had returned to the track. Good thing they're renovating the track and this Eau Rouge/Radillon section before another Anthoine Hubert-style tragedy happens, even if it loses a little bit of the curve characteristic, but safety first.
you are wrong informed mate... they dont consider to change eau rouge... it will stay like it was before it just gets some new asphalt and some more gravel... and i think the tiny bit of gravel wont work that much on 300+ kmh
yeh no unfortunately there's not much they can do to make Eau Rouge because of the surrounding terrain, best they can do is add more gravel, which will only help depending on the conditions, this curve will continue to be one of the worse until advancements are made with the cars or they scrap the course which I highly doubt.
@@noahhughes2674 nah this turn needs to stay otherwise spa would be unnecessary
@@Mikoto_Suoh well shit m8 then we can throw whole of Monaco into the ocean because it isn't safe
@@Mikoto_Suoh yeh I agree with you I more meant they take spa off the calendar which they won't do
These were some of the BEST CRASHES I have seen in a long time!!! Keep up the great work!!
Superb compilation! Subbed. Some of those were brutal!
I'm really glad that Aitken and Visser's life was saved.
4:40 I don’t think I’ve seen a rally car so mangled
That tire flew 3 stories
Looks like a wheel broke, because he was too far away from any turns to suddenly make such a dramatic movement. Crazy
@@mykemech there was a bump in the road that gave him enough time to lose all traction and then when his wheels came down again they were just off straight causing a rapid change in direction, is my guess.
Anybody know what happened to this person? That looked like a very extreme, high G-load impact...
@@buzzfightbeer8023 Yeah, he hit the tree and then the ditch at full speed, backwards. That's one of the hardest rally impacts I've seen in recent years. I'd be surprised if the driver survived, the amount of force there would have been far worse than normal wiplash.

The worst about crashing on top of Eau Rouge is that incoming traffic will see you when it's too late.

Awesome collection
Beautiful crashes, I have laughed lustily! Next time more explosions please :-))
Crazy that people can just walk away from crashes like that most of the time these days. Crs and tracks are so much better designed now thanks to drivers protesting back in the 70's.

I'd like to believe as a f1 fan, that this is what happens to Nascars with 1 drop of rain

1:16 I remember a young driver Ricardo Paletti having that same accident in the 80's; he died, it just shows how much safer motorsport is today. I'm guessing at least that driver didn't get killed. Bet he felt it next morning though.
Both were fine but taken to hopsital, although the one who hit the back of the stationary car (Enzo Fittipaldi) was injured

Man was alright, there was a problem with that car that wasen't going. Some guy crashed into the back of him at a pretty high speed. We watched it live and it was a pretty hard slam.
The person in that stopped car was unharmed, the guy who crashed into the back of it however broke his ankle. He is okay tho, fully recovered.
Yeah, Pourchaire in the ART stalled and without an anti-stall was unable to pull up and Enzo Fittipaldi collected him

Those spa crashes are crazy
Hats off to each of the car builders. There shouldn’t of been anyone able to walk away. 👍👍👍
Why not
@@audir8enthusiast446 try walking away from a crash like that in the family car and you can figure that out. 🐸
@@kilojeromesmith4488 I don't understand why you said the driver's deserved to die in these incidents. Also road cars are safe as hell and would not break apart

Eau Rouge delivers. It must be the scariest corner in motorsport.
easily one of the toughest to get right
Absolutely- and one of the most exciting. I’ve been in cars that have had moments there 👍

Rally crashes are always so gnarly

Man hearing that crunch, impact. Takes my breath away...
Why do all the worst crashes happen at spa?
It's one of the most brutal tracks mixing rapid elevation changes with high speed corners. It's a monster.
Radillon in particular is known for being an extremely high-speed corner launching anyone who slips up right back into the path of traffic due to the lack of runoff on the left. The track is currently working on a bit of terraforming to add a lot more room for runoff and reduce the frequency of these severe accidents.
@@eth3792 No they aren't. All they did was add a sausage kerb that'll merely upset the cars and possibly cause a fatality. Best thing to do would be to make the left side of the turn's runoff (which is already massive) filled with those sticky lines.
3:45 unbelievable!
I wasn't expecting one of the top 5 to be at my hometown
The spa one''s are insane holy jez
6:07 Eau Rouge is a legendary part of the Spa track, but nevertheless - they HAVE to do something with the layout of that corner!
not the layout, they have to do something with the run off so it stops shooting cars right onto the track
which they are doing now
That’s Raidillon actually

Thats why i dislike Hamilton. Everyone says im mental because im British myself. Max is easily the better and fairer driver. Dont get me wrong Hamilton is very talented and a great driver (when hes not complaining about 'unfair driving' and Michael Massi) but he just annoys me

No. 10 is absolutely hilarious. The way everyone just drives straight on is the funniest thing ever!!!!
5:28 That crash was brutal but luckily Hunter Johnson walked out ok and stock cars have come a long with safety devices.
Even if the cars and barriers were constructed of foam peanuts and goose down; many of those wrecks projected quality-of-life-changing G-forces unto the drivers.
Guy Martin's motorcycle exploded into a fireball at the Isle of Man about 10 years ago.
They are nuts.
