Yes! Love this demo - really provides an excellent picture of what Bass ZIO is all about. Excellent bass playing, Sophie! Perfect presentation, Gregor!! BTW is awesome - thank you. If anybody has questions about Bass ZIO, please feel free to respond to this Comment. We'll keep an eye on it.
the pedal sounds amazing! I already have a preamp and a DI but I'm looking for a Grit pedal that sounds basically like the grit in this one. Any other pedal of your line that you can give me as a suggestion? Thanks!
@@juanjan__ The Bass ZIO does have a standard 1/4" out, so you can put it anywhere in your signal chain and use it like a drive pedal. We also have our Aftershock Bass Distortion, which has some great low-gain sounds, including a subtle SVT style grit.
So many great things to say, gonna start with the Rickenbacker!!!!! I just bought a pre-amp a few months ago (RC Bass Booster), but wish I had waited. I'm relocating to Spain in five years, so I'm particularly interested in instruments and gear made and distributed in Europe.
At first I didn't like it that much, but then the scoop segment came along and I was impressed by the cleanness. The cost is a bit much for the function but seems like a good pedal nevertheless.
That pedal is pretty cool. I may need to look into it further. Thanks, good video. I checked this thing out on the Sweetwater site as soon as I watched your video. The two they had in stock were gone the next day. I'll bet they went to some others who watched your video.
Where to buy that thing in Europe ? According to Thomann it will only be available in 2 months. Andertons has it but since Brexit the price and delivery time for stuff from the UK are unclear. :(
Pound for pound this pedal & the Origin Effects DCX Bass pedal are identical. Both are preamps & both have a drive function & both are analogue. I would love to see @basstheworld do a side by side comparison of the 2 pedals (even though it's not their style of video). Lovely sounding pedal though & as always, fantastic reviews.
I really like Source Audio's stuff. This isn't bad, but I don't hear anything beyond what I can get with my EBS MicroBass II, which has multiple "grit" style settings and quite a bit more tonal flexibility.
Great pedal! Does anyone know of another pedal that can give me the Grit this pedal has? I already have a DI and a preamp but not a low gain overdrive that would sound like this one, that's why I'm asking. Thanks!
I _hate_ the scoop switch (LOL), but everything else about this pedal looks and sounds great! My only real criticism would be that it's extremely difficult to see the position of the pots. They're beautiful, but not practical.
@basstheworldofficial can you recommend a mini fuzz for synth sounds ?, I'm doing a mini bass pedalboard, ordered the Aguilar AG, which is same size as mini pedals, what you think of the Nux Pulse, and there bass IR/Cabsims ?
It does sound good, but for the price it'd expect more features. For example presets or channels. Turning knobs to go from clean to drive isn't practical
Yeah, Greg, I love you(I'm from Russia, not gay, of course)! Your rewie help me of choice my bass. It's Aria pro II with small measure but beautiful sound, she's above 10 yers and shi's good! I'll be lucky if You replace me)
She is not that good for showcasing pedals. She has no consistent sound, nor a good sound coming from fingers, nor good rythmic motifs l. It does not help the pedal.
Come on man, get your attitude in check, you sound like you know nothing about the things you are talking about, and you sound like a simple elitist kid. She's doing a great job and you're just being rude.
@@LMaia14 He can give his opinion, right? And he has a point too, I prefer to hear one of the other bassists who normally play the videos that are simply much better. And that has nothing to do with "who hurts you" 🤦♂
@BIGeSTRING Dude they way he totally rapid-fire unloaded on her makes it obvious that he has some issue with her as a person or plainly just woke up on the only side of the bed this morning.😂😂😂
The problem. Even in a backwater like Australia we are so spoilt for choice. And the choices appear to be getting better and price to perfomance less expensive. Great time atm for gearheads.

Fantastic-sounding pedal!
Does it have a ground lift feature?

@@superfitzy Glad you like it! Sophie and Gregor did an excellent job demoing the ZIO.
Welcome Sophie! Great playing. The pedal sounds fantastic.
when you threw on that bit of grit, it sounded very much LIKE an SVT!
NICE to see Sophie here!
\m/
Sounds great and she plays great!
Besides the wonderful playing and the great sounds, nobody talks about this very nice Franz Bass with this beautiful surface?
And it’s crazy light 😍
Always great bass paying in BTW, welcome Sophie!!
To be fair, a cranked to 11 Darkglass ADAM pedal is cleaner than my browser history.
Nice playing
Awesome demo 😎🤘🏻🎸 that is preamp pedal has some nice tones. I might consider buying this preamp pedal if I ever needed a new one.

The RC Bass is fantastic!

I’m not even a bass player and I love this pedal , nice demo by Sophie also

Coooool tone 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Just as I was about to purchase a Badwater... awesome!
Get the Zoo between the two.
Everything Source Audio makes is great.

It arrived earlier than expected! For those interested, it is available at Pedaltown (Netherlands)

NOT something to be proud of ja?

Don't attack my browser history like that. How dare you.
lol thanks for sharing :D
Please make a video about those Franz basses, they look amazing!
Considering it's a clean sounding preamp that grit setting sounds SUBLIME. Great job.
What finish that Rickenbacker has? It is the most beautiful Ric I have ever seen!
The finish is called Jetglo, but this in an old one from ‘78
Hi Gregor,
Do you know if the Source Audio Zio analog preamp has a dedicated transformer for the DI out?
I really like Source Audio's stuff. This isn't bad, but I don't hear anything beyond what I can get with my EBS MicroBass II, which has multiple "grit" style settings and quite a bit more tonal flexibility.
Source Audio ♥

Highly recommended Origin DCX Bass. I run that before a Nordstrom’s Starlifter. Best drive/grit I’ve ever heat from the DCX.
@@chrisjs6123 thanks a lot! I'll check it out 🙂
I am a simple man, when I see Sophie playing, I hit the like button.
nice but at this price you can gett the Simplifier Bass Station from DSM + Humboldt Electronics who does all this and more.
Incognito FTW!

Der hier klingt etwas mehr HiFi. Der Rheingold ist völlig neutral und fällt klanglich überhaupt nicht auf
@@basstheworldofficial Vielen Dank, lieber Gregor! Wenn der BP2 auch noch gut mit dem Kasleder Jellyfish kann, dann weiß ich ja, was ich will 😉
Please make a video featuring the Line6 HX 1. Thanks
Had it in the mail today!
Sophia grooves!

Aguilar AG or Source Audio Zio ? Cleanest without drive
They’re similar in that matter

I haven’t got to try the NUX yet, but they’re making solid stuff. I’m sure it’s good. The Darkglass DFZ is cool for synth sounds
@basstheworldofficial Thank you, with an MXR vintage octave and DFZ , I think I'll be good for Funk to Dub.
so, what the eq spex?
It does sound good, but for the price it'd expect more features. For example presets or channels. Turning knobs to go from clean to drive isn't practical
Love mine
Nice 👍👍
GET TO THE CHOPPA!!!!
My girlfriend just asked if I was listening to Arnold Schwarzenegger bass videos
Yes you do!
