I appreciate the ACLU defending the NRA in this case, despite their dislike of the organization. Once upon a time, the ACLU defended the free speech rights of everyone, even if it was groups like the KKK. Freedom of speech applies to everyone, even to those we don't like or those who may abuse said freedom. That's what it means to have real freedom.
ACLU is nothing of what they were. No respect.

I stopped funding the ACLU when they said the 1st Amendment was getting in the way of trans feelings... And of the NRA when they said Trump's bump-stock ban was okay with them!

Judges can't prosecute people. It's up to the district attorney to file charges against people. It's unlikely that a district attorney would file charges against the person who appointed them to the position. Appointed positions come with an innate degree of corruption, since they will almost always share the same political views and are probably friends with eachother.
Oh shit, the NRA actually finally did something, and same with the Supreme Court. If I had a nickel for every time I was surprised these two entities actually did something for once, I'd have 2 nickels.

Are you in a location that has a large hispanic population? Possibly on vacation? When RUclips can't match ads to you personally, it will fall back on local trends, such as community demographics and what kind of content is consumed in the local area. I get a lot of Spanish videos recommended because I turn off my watch history and also live in northern New Mexico, which has a well-established hispanic community.

There's no legal consequences so it doesn't matter, they'll just turn around and do it again in different language and then maybe that case will make it back to the courts and get overturned or not.
There are legal consequences, these cases set future legal precedent.

Yeah, it will still take six more. This was simply about *_one_* preliminary motion to dismiss the case before discovery, testimony, hearings, etc. There are still plenty of reasons that the district court could dismiss the case.

This decision had nothing to do with this. An appeals court stopped the NRA's lawsuit before they could get to discovery, evidence, and an actual trial due to "failure to state a claim." That is what the Supreme Court reversed. Now, the district court will be able to hear the case, but they could dismiss it on other grounds.
Yes, this should apply directly to social media companies. Just in time for the election, too.
