Just bought an i4+ evo last week, but it seemed to get lost/confused frequently and I couldn't get it to map the full house. Saw the j6+ on sale today with the prime day deal for just $50 more, so i decided to buy it. Hoping this one works better and then I'll return the i4+ Evo. Would prefer to not have a wandering camera in the house, but I guess if it cleans well, it'll be worth it.
Looks good, but I wish i knew how it specifically performed on hard floors, by comparison. I've gotten rid of all carpet in my house and want to keep my floors clean without marring them. I'm wondering if the agitation is better for carpets, and higher suction is better for hard floors? Curious how it navigates things like cords etc, since a real room is very different from an empty one with a couple obstacles.
Happy to bring more clarity! These are all great questions! The aeroforce cleaning system found on this vacuum is top notch and found on all their i & j series vacuums. Perfect for hard floors or carpets so you won't have any issues there. Cord and pet waste is great but it is really just built to handle those 2 objects vs the variety of other obstacles you may find. Have not had any issues with marring myself but you might want to check out the Roborock Q Revo as it offers a setting called "Clean along floor direction" to clean along the floors direction to minimize scraping against floor seams! ruclips.net/video/fBdaOmmrpoI/видео.html
s9+ if DEEP cleaning is most important and you have a lot of carpet and pets... also if you have lots of edges and corners the s9 will get closer... j6+ if you have pets that poop in your house or a lot of cord/cable clutter and you don't want to tidy of your house every time your vacuum runs. Also cheaper so that is a big plus in my book!
@@DigitalDavid Amazing! Thank you for the reply. The prime day deal on the j6+ is superb right now. 499 bucks! It's just a bit confusing because there's not much out there about the j6+. But after a little research and your confirmation I'm now comfortable making the purchase as the j7+ has great reviews.
I have the Samsung jetbot plus which works great on hard floors. Fast with the LiDAR, and always fully empties not matter how full. The midst just stopped working.. so I’m wondering if this not does a good job self emptying, especially when it packed full of hair?
@@DigitalDavid sorry the LIDAR. However the warranty got the jetbot fixed and returned. I was wondering how well this self empties when the robot is packed full of hair.
This is really a stupid but important question..... I feel like one day those company will force you to subscript to their membership in order to use the self empty function.
@@haijiazhu3148 Yeah unfortunately I think the J8+ (correct me if I'm wrong) requires a subscription or they disable the use of the auto empty feature.
@@starryspirit I really hope those Chinese companies bring more machines to American. They all integrated with auto load/dump water function (form/into the pipe/sewer) with way more reasonable price. roborock's top tire machine cost only half back in china, and they cleverly lock the IP thus you cannot use it oversea. There is methods to bypass this though. I really like irobot, but the mopping machine lack of auto clean function.
@@DigitalDavid I did! Coming in tomorrow… replacing a 5 year old Roomba 960 so excited to get it going. This video helped me on my decision so thanks for the content!

Can you help me choose between the s9+ 9550 or the j6t. I love a good vacuum.
s9+ if DEEP cleaning is most important and you have a lot of carpet and pets... also if you have lots of edges and corners the s9 will get closer...

What's the difference between the j6+ and the j7+?
Nothing! We have tried both... the j6+ literally came in the j7+ box with just stickers over it lol

problem with my ancient roomba a is that it would get stuck under cabinet edges, same problem with these newer ones?
No it should not get stuck and you can always setup a virtual no go zone to keep it away if it still does!
It has a camera to identify obstacles?
Yes
Yes!!! POOP and cords!
@@DigitalDavidwhat’s the difference between the j6 and j7?
I think the j7 can detect more with its obstacle avoidance feature

Does the j6+ need a virtual wall to ensure it doesn't fall down stairs?
Nope! It has built in sensors underneath to avoid falling down stairs/ledges etc!
Do you need a subscription for the self emptying bin feature?
Nope!

That's some interesting stuff. If that's the case, I hope Chinese companies bring more machines to America too!

So the j6 does not have virtual walls like the j7?
It does! Nothing is different between both models!
Great content! What’s the difference between the i series and the j series?
Basically the j series will have more advanced navigation features like object recognition and zone cleaning!
May I get a recommendation should I get this j6+ or ECOVACS Deebot N8 Pro+? Digital David? Others?
