Big Changes Coming to Marlborough Sports Garden! 🏟️
At Bankside Open Spaces Trust, we’re on a mission to transform Marlborough Sports Garden into a thriving community hub! 🌿 Come and fly with us through our plans for an ambitious £4 million+ re-development project at our community sports facility in Southwark.
We've team up with architects Cullinan Studio to reimagine this incredible space. And guess what? These design plans are already turning heads - they've won two prestigious awards. We bagged the Future Place Award at The Pineapples 🍍 (yes, that’s right!), celebrating the best public spaces, AND we scooped the Community Prize at the New London Architecture Awards! 🎉
But it’s not just about the awards - this project will bring some amazing new features to Marlborough Sports Garden, benefitting thousands of our community members every year:
✨ Upgraded outdoor spaces for all kinds of sports and activities
🚻 Brand new indoor toilets and changing rooms (finally!)
☕ A welcoming café offering healthy eats and cooking workshops
🏋️‍♀️ Indoor studios for year-round classes and community events
Our vision is to create more opportunities for physical activity, and we're especially focused on helping everyone get involved - including those who find it hard to access sports. 💪
