I think people are forgetting like Jaz and Kim Burrell, they are Jazz stylists. Their voices are their instruments. You don't hear people complaining about somebody getting crunk on the piano; going up and down the scales. I think once people learn to appreciate that type of vocal control versus somebody who just does runs (Beyonce/Chris Brown/Myself for now), it'll be better to understand and won't get them mistaken for the amateurs.

Though some say she over did the runs this song leaves alot of open space for that purpose. She took advantage of that oppertunity and executed every run just as Kim Burrell, Lashun Pace, and/or any gospel great would've done. Her voice is very powerful, which isn't heard that often in Jazz, yet she remained true to her Jazz and Gospel roots.
She is a Kim Burrell protege .not taking anything a way cuz they both are in a class by them shelve in my opinion just talented as all get out .wow them two are my favorites along with brandy, and India .i love those low voice I guess cuz I sing high wish mine was that low .
She's been sprinkled with the best seasonings that God keeps in his special safe for the ones he wants to let the world know he specially created like non other. Ms Jazmine got that soultry, jazz, raspy perfection goin! I hear some of our greatest singers in her voice but uniquely her own, it's amazing! She got it all, blessed!

jazmine's bottom is ridiculous.. not too many can handle such such riffs and runs to take from the top to the bottom (CLEAR & ON TRACK). Some ppl can do these riffs and runs but they can't control them. just bc they can do them doesn't mean that they fit or sound good. but jazmine is flawless in this department. that rasp is crazy.. she has so many control. she can do whatever she wants with her voice and make everything from the abc's to a campbells soup song sound amazing

I would loved to have heard more stuff like this on her cd. As i've posted on other videos of her, I was introduced to Jazmine's awesome voice by listening to her masterful rendidtions such as this. This woman is too gifted, talented, and just flat out cold for the watered down, studio driven project that she released earlier this year.

I used to ask my mom how "good" of a singer I was in comparison to others when I was younger and her answer always gave me a temporary ease. To this day, her answer remains the same..She says that I have an amazing voice but what is special about my voice is that it's anointed and that I move people when I sing and while I know this is true, sometimes, I kinda feel as though it's not enough.
