If the wax is absorbed into the blanket: just use a hot iron, place it over a paper towel over the wax and iron away. The paper towel will absorb the melted wax.
hair dryer will work too
I also use a brown paper bag.
Also throw it out and go to good will or just put up with a tiny bit of candle wax cuz it's a camping blanket...
I would use a damp washcloth than put a hot iron on it

Zack, try laying a sheet of newspaper (paper towel may work) over the wax spots. Then warm up an electric iron, after first making sure that it's the iron that your wife or girlfriend is okay with you, potentially, ruining. Then run the warm iron over the newspaper. It should melt the wax and the newspaper will absorb the melted wax. It is a technique used in a fabric printing style called "batik". It is time consuming, so be patient.

Break off as much of the wax as u can, then take about 3 layers of paper towels, lay the layers of paper towels flat on the wax while heating the towels with an iron. As the wax melts, it will b absorbed by the paper towels. Keep doing this till all wax is gone. Good show, thumbs up.
Paper towel and an iron. You iron the paper towel on top of the wax. Works on carpet anyway. They make 5 lb propane tanks. That'd be great on this thing.... could put it anywhere and run lines.
Try using automotive hood pins to secure your rear gate.

its a miracle that rust-destroyed frame on that trailer hasnt colapsed hitting a bump\hole at speeds causing mayhem to his family or others. Hope he fixes it if he wants to use this one on the road. Whish him well and love his positive attitude :)

I am a professional painter. It looks like you used treated sheeting (4X8X1/2) . U have to let that wood dry out for a few weeks and then stain it not paint it. Use Sherwin williams Super deck it will absorb into the wood and it will be fine. Sand all that off and use that Super deck solid stain from Sherwin Williams.

When I was a kid I spilled a bunch of candle wax on our new carpet. My mom used a paper bag and an iron and it pulled it pretty well.

Paint peeling cause the wood warping from ambient moisture and temp changes, plus if you burned it before you painted it (I think so if from watching the first build video when you originally did it) it'll prevent the paint from soaking into the wood and just drying on top. Plus, if you used a water based paint, that also won't soak into the wood.
Either like a coleman camp stove or other lp stove, or the butane ones all work very well. Those electric hotplates are power hogs and difficult to control heat on.

That was a monster white perch! I fished for several decades on lake Champlain in upstate NY. We never ever saw them until after the zebra muscles invaded. Destroyed the walleye, but seemed to bring in these…..best tasting white meat fish ever. Gotta have sharp hooks, and don’t set too hard.

Zebra mussels destroyed the walleye? I live in what's considered one of the best walleye fisheries in the united states and we've had zebra mussels for over 3 decades and the walleye population never took a hit. What happened?

Just a guess. If it gets hot enough to melt candle wax (min 130°f), and remained there for awhile, the plywood started releasing humidity making the paint peel. Suggest putting a soffet vent or two on the sides. That should help with excessive heat and humidity when storing. "Damp Rid" is also great for musty areas.

Place paper towel or newspaper over the wax and iron it with a clothes iron on high. Works on carpet, blankets, even walls. Also works with crayon. ;)

Freeze the blanket. Put it in a sealed plastic bag and freeze it overnight. Next day, take the bag out and start bending the bag to break up the wax. Open the bag, do this outside... It's pretty easy to basically brush the frozen wax off.
Wash by itself in hot water. Good as new!

Zak the only way i know to get candle wax out of a blanket is start a fire, put in one cup of gasoline and then gently put blanket in the fire, and after the fire goes out I will bet you that you will not find wax on your blanket, works every time😁It was nice to see you and Abby out on an adventure together, and it was also great to see Mac Fowler back to help you fix your coffee pot, nice fix Mac Fowler👍that was so cool to see you catch fish under water. Fowler- I found you on RUclips I have watched many alone seasons but somehow missed yours. After watching several of your playlists I decided to start watching today and I am literally on the first episode and you just loaded up and left to catch the plane. Seeing where you came from and where you are now is just absolutely mesmerizing I mean I know you chose to love in a yurt but maybe it was due to money also but seeing how well you’ve done with your adventures and just giving out all your knowledge and now seeing your home and where you are now just have me cry. I just had to tell you what an amazing man you are. You remind me of my husband doing everything he can he do he will do and much more to keep his family going strong and I know you may not be with your ex wife anymore but I know what kind of man you are and it’s just nice to see men like you and my husband out there cause let me tell you there isn;t many of you guys around, and it’s hard to find.

Always great to see you out with your kiddos. Have you ever thought about doing something with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program?? I think you & your crew could be some awesome inspiration to some young boys/men who don’t have that Father figure in their life. The things you can show & introduce them to. I was a big sister for years & it was amazing at some of the things I got to do with my little sister. There are a lot of children..both boys AND girls who don’t have a Father or Mother figure around. It’s an amazing feeling to try & help them realize their own potential. That they are NOT their circumstance. What amazing memories you two made. Sparrow is a little stinker like her Dad. ♥️♥️♥️

Hey Fowler. I know you aren’t watching but rather than that super long stick to hold up the door what if you made two shorter ones that swung up closer to the hinge point. 16” should do it. They could stay attached to the door or the trailer side. Whichever works best. No chance of knocking them out accidentally like that big stick.
To get the wax off put a towel on the wax area then heat up a flat iron and pass it on the towel so the wax can be removed use an old tow. It works

It's great you taking your daughter with you! Teach her lots of skills, and when she is grown, she can already have tons of knowledge. I live in the tropics and they make an oil mixture that is eucalyptus, clove, cinnamon, kajaput oil all combined. It's all natural oils without chemicals.
