I think you were using that $700 reel, a great rod and the world's best tackle. Dude with a 9', 8wt flyrod you could have popped once and "fish on" and to the hand but the retreive with lighter tackle and a system that requires your full attention. Go get a Sage 8.5', maybe a Tibor reel, a Leland flyline for a good step up beginners combo to experiment with your own style of stripping and reeling , for those darker across the back beautiful TLMs. You have mastered bait-casting time to move forward, get the flyrod out and practice casting in a yard, at the park with your favorite length of leader and a pattern of choice with the hook cut as close to the abdomen , try to hit items on the lawn, like leaves in the wind, pinecones, the trash recepticle , target practice is really usefull on the water. At 7:50, was that 5.25 lbs ? Ever catch a carp on a flyrod ? How many hands do you have?

Just wondering if any of you guys ever fish out off belly boats. They are large iner tubes specially made for fishing where you need to ware chest waders and flippers and you flop around the lake. Its great for getting into really tight areas.

Just a suggestion but I think it would be super cool if you did your own box like mtb but instead you put your own baits in the box along with any other prototype baits that you have just come out with.
