Nice vid. Thanks for taking the time to record. Word of caution: always remove your wedding ring before doing any electrical work (unless it is a non-conductive material).
I did notice you were putting it to the wrong side of what you said earlier and I was screaming at the iPad the Wife asked who the hell I was screaming at LOL.
Glad I found this. Just ordered this set up after seeing your video
Excellent video man, very in-depth and informative!! Keep up the content!
Very nice video sir! Brilliant walk thru. Well done!
I like the way you presented the set up. Hope to see more!
Thank you, I felt like I ran on a bit but I'm getting comments like yours so I'm glad I didn't cut it shorter. I am working on some more content for the channel. Bumper install, tent, drawer system....
Nice tutorial
Wish i had seen this before I did my install
Great job very good explanations and appreciations 🇩🇰🙏
Nice work! Like the bracket you made. And you might want to cover the positive next time doing this.😅
I like how you mentioned having an internal switch to activate the breaker. Do you have a video on that? Also, great work. Thanks.
I've yet to actually install it. Work keeps me from having too much fun. It's going to be a simple on/off switch running to a battery relay that will allow me to have full control. Or I just might install a Redarc BCDC and be done with it. time will tell.
Excellent video load and line side go to what?
Question TO THE CIRCUIT BREaker to the fuse box THE Cable goes on LINE OR load ????
Reason you used 8 gauge vs. the 6 gauge the sell in their box? I cant find 6 gauge at the store :/
Did you say 6awg is good for 200amps?
What dual battery system did you choose? What size batteries? Is your Tacoma a TRD model?
I went with the Overland Engineering side by side setup with the BlueSea ML-ACR and two Group 35 AGM batteries. I unfortunately did not record the install but will eventually do a review video.
Instead of making a new cable couldn’t you have just unbolted and rotated the fuse box 180º?
did you have to reset the computer??
By nature of disconnecting the battery from the car, the ECU will basically reset. Any codes that were stored or smog data will be cleared.
do you make one for 2004 GX470?
It's possible they do as I know they make mounts for the 4runners too. Head over to Overland Equipped's web site and check out their mounts. Possibly shoot them an email and they may be able to lead you to the correct mount for you GX.
Do you keep the relays for you led light bars or do you clip them off?
You still want to keep the relays for your lights as that is what is used to switch the lights on and off. The power going into the relays will be supplied by the fused panel.
So, I am new, switch>fuse>relay>lights.... yes?
