Thank for this fantastic review, very comprehensive! I am thinking of getting this and pairing with my Curado 70 mgl, do you know what the line rating is on this rod? Is there anything else similar on the market?
Strangely, I have not been able to find any information on the line rating for this rod at all, but based on my experience I would pair it with 8-10 lb line. Depending on where you are in the world, there are a small handful of comparable rods, but most are faster. Dobyns makes a similar ranged rod, but is a fast action. Shimano has a similarly rated Curado model. If you are shopping on Ali Express, the Kingdom King Pro 702 L/ML model is similar as well, but again, it is a fast-action rod. I think one of the things that makes the Okuma Unique is that it is a Moderate fast rod and much less money.
