  • Field testing a new Seasir Commando and a 6'6 Okuma Lite SX Micro Lure rod for review purposes. The soft plastic/hook combo I was casting clocked in at a very respectable 2.89g.

Didn’t know you had a RUclips channel mate. Great video. I do love the reel. I’ve now bought some N52 4mm x 0.5mm magnets that are slim enough to pop onto the existing magnets to hopefully increase the braking a little. Haven’t had time to try them yet but to be honest the reel doesn’t really need them once you’re used to it.

It’s very new. I’ve been creating footage for about a year, but unsure what to do with it. After a discussion with a friend the other day, I decided to start this. So, will be uploading footage steadily over the next week or two before adding “new” content.
Agreed. Not really necessary, but could be useful if it gave a little more range. I’m experimenting with additional magnets as well, but hoping to redesign the magnet carrier to fit additional magnets. Will report back if it goes well.

Thank you for the great content! How is the feel of the rod? Is the tip "whippy"?

Much appreciated! Yes, I feel it is whippy without being sloppy and allows for precision casting from just under 3g and up. I've just uploaded a (hopefully) comprehensive review of the rod. Welcome to check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks for the engagement!
