I did a lot of shopping around on eBay about a year ago.
I believe the company was MVP Autoparts. But it was an eBay deal.
The BIN price was $599.99. Best deal I could find at the time.
    Good Luck.

    Hey Dude,
Thanks, I wanted to get the Before and After for my records.
I think the upgrades made a little difference. Not enough, though.
    Have a great week.

Hi from the future! 11 years since you uploaded this video. Any chance that you can give me the link or serial number of the throttle body spacer? Thanks! Great video, I love how sounds.

There is a some improvement; but not terribly dramatic.
Any improvement is a good thing.
BTW, within the past month I traded the H3 on an '06 H2.
    WOW, what a difference.

I don't have any mechanical advice to improve gas mileage.
About the only advice I can give is to drive it like you worked hard for every gallon of gas. In other words, drive it gently, not "like you stole it".
On your daily commutes it shouldn't be too bad. On your long haul, budget accordingly.

I know this video is old but how much did this whole set up cost you?.

The K&N 57 series cold air intake is $270 and the gibson dual exit cat back is $582 (if you get the aluminized steel version its $113 less) so a total of $852 idk about the throttle body spacer, they are usually around $50 but i can never find proof of them doing anything so I would skip that

Very nice setup. I love my H3, but a demon has possessed my electrical system. By chance have you had any major electrical, transmission, radiatior/trany cooler leak (into one another), sunroof leak, etc. problems? I have had all but transmission at this point. If any electrical problems on your end, did they start by chance after a sunroof leak? I like the exhaust look although I was always under the impression true dual exhaust could only be applied to "V" engines due to 2 exhaust manifolds. Regardless it look awesome. What performance gains g\have you noticed? If you have had some of the above mentioned similar unresolved issues, please shoot me an email. I may have some info to share.

    • @BriCLK
      @BriCLK  10 лет назад +1

If the sunroof is leaking there is a good chance the drain tubes are clogged. With the sunroof open you can find the drains in the front right and left corners of the sunroof channel. I used a long length of nylon string (from my weed trimmer). Feed the line down the tubes and work it through until the clogs pushed out, Never really had any electrical problems other than the blower fan switch. That was a pretty easy fix, as well. Performance gain wasn't dramatic but noticeable.

It's caused from your sun room leaking thru the tubes cause they actually drain into your A pilers and then behind your dash. It's a very poor design but they won't recall it only builtin it. I know someone that's already had it fix or well is having it fixed now , but that's almost 100% definitely why you having those electronic probs

My sunroof was leaking and I taped it up with aluminium duct tape. I finally got around to trying to unclog the drains and opened the sunroof. After hearing the sound the sunroof motor was making I closed it and caulked it with silicone. After having countless problems with the AC blower motor I wasn't taking any chance of having a stuck open sunroof

THe A/C blower motor wiring harness is a recall. Take it to your local dealer if you haven't already. I had a lot of electrical issues with mine, but it was a bad battery. These trucks don't have a voltage regulator on them like most cars do, so when the battery starts to go and the BCU isn't getting the signals it needs it starts to throw codes and other stuff malfunctions. New battery and a new A/C wiring harness and I've not had a single issue since.

Just bought a 08 Base/luxury model. (I also bought a 09 base model 2 months ago but it ended up submerged to the roof in river water.)🤣 I'm gonna hold off on these types of upgrades until I can drop a V8 engine into mine. The dual exhaust does look good though tbh.

I honestly have not checked my fuel mileage. I only drive the H3 on weekends: baseball practices/games, soccer, ski trips, etc. So I'm not that concerned with fuel economy.
If I get some data, I'll post it.

Michael Thompson, You don't have to change the MAF! But the intake system that he installed is not the one that was designed for the H3.

    I appreciate other perspectives.
I'm not a mechanical engineer (I'm a civil engineer), but I've always believed that nothing beats a straight pipe out the back to improve flow. I selected the Gibson for the very reason that the muffler is in-line with the exhaust pipe, rather than positioned 180 degrees from the exhaust flow as the stock system and many aftermarkets.
Bottom line: The H3 is still a meager inline 5 engine. Real performance will never be achieved in that engine.

Is there any way to improve the MPG on this fat gas addicting vehicle? Because I'm thinking about getting one. I'd mostly be diving 12 miles to school and 12 miles back. But the main reason why I'm thinking about it is I'm taking a spring break trip from AZ to CA and need more room than my 2000 Toyota Celica had. Opinions would be greatly appreciated

Shane Rader I have recently added an Airraid cold air intake and a intake resonator delete to my 2007 H3 along with a power aid throttle body spacer! My mpg increased from 14.5 to 16.

Nathan Landers did you remove the stock resonator ? If so what did you hook up the hose that hooks up to it in back? I’m unsure where it’s looped to in. This video ?
