    The electric panel box is in the perfect location in this model home. Out of the way, but easy to get to when you need it. Love the big bathroom, and corner kitchen. This is a great layout for a person who needs a walker or wheelchair, and can live/sleep downstairs, with a guest room in the loft.

    • @charlesdavis7461
      @charlesdavis7461 Год назад +3

      do you think a walker or wheelchair is too wide to fit through the hall by the stairs to go to the bathroom?

    • @bethgreen5587
      @bethgreen5587 Год назад +4

      I thought the same thing about the electric panel

    • @feelinguru-vywiththepaingu9808
      @feelinguru-vywiththepaingu9808 Год назад +2

      Wouldn't be too difficult to make the hall wide enough. Maybe a pocket door instead of a barn door. That might do it for a walker. For a wheelchair it would take a little more adjustment. Would need to push the toilet and sink over toward the shower and the hall wall to follow and use a pocket door. Don't know how that would affect the size of the refrigerator. But then you wouldn't be doing the model. That would be a custom with the same floor plan/layout.

    • @mamamode1312
      @mamamode1312 Год назад +1

      @@feelinguru-vywiththepaingu9808 if the place is for independence of a wheelchair person the upstairs might not be needed in which case eliminating the stairs and rotating the bathroom 90* would resolve that issue.

      @justthink5854 You're still going on about the panels? They have nothing to do with this house. But while we're on the subject, no, the original ones are _not free._ They are purchased from the recuperator, who has the expenses of picking them up, stocking them, and finding buyers. And it costs the same to transport them that it does for the new panels.
      If you don't understand about the costs involved in building a tiny house, you need to stop and think. They have all the basic technical necessities - plumbing, electricity, kitchen and bath furnishings - that a larger home would have. The only thing a bigger house offers is more empty space.

    • @chezmoi42
      @chezmoi42 Год назад +6

      @justthink5854 It's not silly. Empty space costs little in comparison with the essentials, so you can't fairly compare the price per sf with that of a tiny house.
      As for the panels, you're simply spamming nonsense on the off-topic subject. Maybe it's time you moved further on.

      @tamra9124 hello. Honey, Do you have inside information? Apologies because I haven't read all the comments here. Am I a fan? Hell yes. Affordable housing is very much needed.

    • @kimandgreg4404
      @kimandgreg4404 Год назад +4

      @SmartBlackConservative thanks for your comments. My impression is based only on videos of people who are happy there. I know that isn't first-hand knowledge.
      I would truly appreciate hearing why you don't feel there is integrity there. It is important to listen to all sides and you certainly know more than I do.
      As someone who lives there, what do you feel is negative? What commitments did they not follow through on?
      Why are you still there if it is so horrible?
      You said that you have worked as a professional in the housing industry. You would be doing a great service to people if you can provide more specific information. Just saying they don't meet standards you are experienced in doesn't really help.
      I truly want to know about your experience and why you have the belief that you do. I believe in due diligence, and I'm always willing to admit when I'm wrong when provided with new credible information.

    There is going to be an economic collapse, grid could very go down, & a major threat of war. How will that work with people who are paying monthly?
    What will happen to them?
    Not trying to scare anyone, but we seriously want to know what the company will do if they can't get their payments. I wanted a tiny home so bad I could taste it! I even found out that CT you can have tiny homes! Wasn't easy to find that either! lol
    So if I can get an answer to my question it will hopefully help me out. Knowing that maybe some day we'll be able to afford it. Would have been great if we could get a home here & rent to own! Thank you all! Enjoy your new homes folks! I'm so very happy for you all! 😊😊

      I think some of your fears here are valid, but it would probably be more pertinent to worry about how our government would respond than how ITH would respond.
      No matter where we live or work, we all have to continue to move forward while knowing the current day could be our best. Anything can change overnight. We'll all have to look out for each other whenever the time comes.

      I refuse to let fear control my life. If there is a financial collapse, it will affect everyone, no matter where we are living. At least no one at ITH has to worry about losing our home to bank foreclosure. We own our homes, and can work or barter to get what we need, like my grandparents did during the great depression. Can trade in work performed, or make/build & sell stuff to pay bills.

    It’s really easy to put two twin beds together upstairs if anybody’s worried about changing the bed because they’re so awkward and the ceiling is really low you can switch them around to wear evenly ,add a duvet cover over a queen size quilt even (my plan.)
    I was just out there today with a friend he built a beautiful craftsman cabin in my neighborhood that I just sold my house in and he was really complementary of the craftsman style houses and how they were built.
    Additionally I thought the mail room was done beautifully I just would not have expected how nice it turned out I love the accessibility of it the size of it it’s done great in the shipping container. Really great job!

    Everything is hard because you aren't doing things the easy way. It isn't denseness. Randy and Amanda have a driving vision (not always the same one 😊). It isn't just about building tiny houses, developing properties, the people who work there, and the people who live there. It's all of that, plus HOW to do it. HOW to take care of the people, HOW to run a company (hopefully still mostly cash-based . . .?), HOW to build on a mountain without stripping out all the trees. That's a lot of drive and a lot of know-how (a lot of which was gathered as they went). But wait, there's more. They both have also talked about and shown their core beliefs in the right way to treat people in these videos I've been watching for the past year. Nobody's perfect, but perfectly flawed humans have a center that pulls them back when they get off track. Course correction. So, no, it's not easy.

    Beautiful Home… I’d need a bed rail though - lol (or loft rail). I’ve been told I walk in my sleep. 😬

    Aloha, I had an Amish built A Frame in Fl. with a two story shed in the back, and this home’s interior brought back so many beautiful memories. The Amish have a pure, well planned gift of coexisting with and honoring the beauty of nature 🌿🪵🍁🕊.

    All homes are way over priced something this small should cost about 35,000 to 40,000 to buy and only costs about 20,000 to build.

      The $30k Incred-i-Box 2.0 has spacious storage lofts on both ends of the house. If you're looking for something nicer and can afford it, the $80k 'Augusta' model has a spacious 10' wide by 4' deep walk-in closet & laundry room in the rear.

    I have been looking at tiny houses for almost 2 years now I have six different places I am looking at their models on RUclips. I have drawn a model out on a piece of paper and taken the different parts from different models that I like to customize my very own tiny house to my taste. Why do you say your models cannot be changed? I really don't understand why you have a light fixture that belongs in a bathroom over that sink in every kitchen that you build that doesn't make any sense to me at all. Also if you go on RUclips and look at some of the tiny houses the other manufacturers have for the price you are selling yours for and some are cheaper than yours and so much better floor plans and use of space they have wooden headboards built on a wall, gas fireplaces with TV mounts above the beam mantel, Etc I would love to get a home from your place it's closer to North Carolina but you are not offering the home for the price you are charging. Especially if I cannot put in what I want in there, or get any say-so in it is built or the way I want my kitchen cabinets, things like that make a big difference.
    In Tracy Tennessee in an Airbnb they have a tiny home called the Minnie Pearl all you have to do is pull up on RUclips the Minnie Pearl tiny home that home is gorgeous I would leave some stuff off such as the back porch and the door in the bedroom but other than that that is the kind of home I'm talking about plus I would like wrought iron rails and wrought iron rails around the Loft area also but I've need to find out who the manufacturer is of that particular home but that is the kind of home I'm looking to put my money in and that's the kind of home that I think you should be building for the kind of money you're asking for like on your Birmingham. Or the one on the corner that the couple from Florida is living in. Your kitchen's are nothing more than a tiny kitchenette. Yes it's fine for a vacation stay but for people like me that are planning to live in it year-round as their permanent home it's not what I'm looking for anyway

    I have a design suggestion for all of your models. The hood over the stove would look so much better if you build it up like a designer hood... I understand you've got the shelf for storage, but I think this simple design change woukd elevate the look of the interior. Wouldn't take much extra material.
