Good day Jason; my baby is a 2011 Jetstream Blue Grand Sport, the last year of the Jetstream Blue; mine has the original chrome wheels, and it looks awesome with the Jetstream Blue; congratulations to Tim, on owning what I consider the nicest color on the C6 generation; take care Jason !
Jumped Over from the Vette Syndicate Live and glad I did. That 2010 is beautiful. The color appears to be very close to my 1976 C3 Coupe that was Bright Blue. I had it from 1980 until 2019. I still have my 2009 C6 and the fabulous 2022 C8 HTC in Red Mist. Really great presentation Jason, I enjoyed that!
Thank you!! Why did you sell the ‘76? Red Mist is a color that has really grown on me. It’s probably one I would be before Torch red. I love TR but it’s so popular. I like to be a little different.
@@FrontSeatDriver Loved the car, but in my area I couldn’t find anyone to paint it for a reasonable price. I was getting bids from $10,000 to $20,000. It needed additional TLC for a car of its age. Only 33,000 miles. So, I put all sorts of money into a car and it’s not that desirable or collectible and the value of the restoration can’t be recovered. Had a low horsepower engine and the wife said “we’re not having 3 Corvettes”. I have 5 hours of grass to mow so I traded it for a $10,000 Toro Zero Turn Mower. Cut mowing in half. I also had an operation for Pancreatic Cancer 3/2019 and started Chemo 8/2019. Still on Chemo, so coming up on 4 years of it. Just can’t do about anything anymore. Feeling lousy all the time. Kept me away from Carlisle last year and several vacations. Currently have too many cars: 2006 & 2016 Explorers, 2011 F250, 2013 BMW 328, 2009 Mustang GT, 2009 C6 and the 2022 C8. Then hopefully I stay alive long enough to perhaps get a ZO6, but I’m way down on MacMulkin’s List. Sucks not to feel well on nice days that I can’t drive the C8. Hope to see all you guys at Carlisle this year!!! But, It’s rough walking any distance, because the chemo wipes me out and makes me feel ill and tired.
Wow! I had no idea about the chemo. I’ll keep you in my prayers that you can finally get off of chemo and get back to a normal life. That’s a lot of cars.l! Lol where do you keep them all? I definitely hope I can make it up to Carlisle. Would really like to meet you. Last year was a lot of fun.
@@FrontSeatDriver Thanks for Thoughts and Prayers! We built our house in 1994 and I’m very happy my wife agreed to an extra garage bay and extension. Main area is 60’ X 30’ with a 15’ X 16’ extension on the left side. So just over 2,000 square feet. I have 2 18’ garage doors and a 12’ garage door. Easy capability for storing 5 vehicles and the extension can serve as a garage bay or workshop or both. 1/19/2023. I stopped by my local dealership where I purchased my 2022 C8. I spoke to the Corvette Sales Specialist and inquired about the Eray situation. I found I was the first person to ask. I indicated we were interested in purchasing an Eray and was placed on the list as the first person. So, hopefully they will receive an allocation and we can build a car! Other “Good News”: SELLING AT MSRP!!! No ADM (At least for now! My 2022 HTC was at MSRP! through them.) This is a relatively small dealership that gets typically 1-2 Corvette allocations per year. But last year, they sold 8 C8s. Their preference is to try to sell to local people. (I assume they try to keep the Service Department busy.) Thanks Jason
I agree, I had the alloy wheels on my '13 C6 GS , cyber grey. But On my '13 C6 GS, midnight racing blue, the stock chrome wheels just absolutely work with that color. Beautiful blue on your vette! 😎👍😎
@@FrontSeatDriver this one is a Torch Red Grand Sport 6spd(first red Vette we’ve ever had out of the 7 we’ve had over the years) and she has silver hash marks and chrome wheels… just classic lines… beautiful.
Enjoyed the video man, great color on the car and sounds good. Based on the exterior changes he made I bet he still changes to black rims at some point. Ha!
Beautiful car! That color is gorgeous. I know exactly what you mean about backing up without a backup camera when I drive my C5 Z06. We are so spoiled by modern creature comforts.
Now why would I be interested in a 2010 Corvette? 🤣 This blue demands chrome wheels, especially the ZR1 wheels! 👍👍 If memory serves, the chrome front fender badging has the Grand Sport letters in red, I think painting the door pulls in red, especially in Crystal Red Metallic, would be a nice accent piece to compliment the fender badging. But that's just me. I have the MGW shifter and I'm actually on their Gen 2 model. I don't know how they do it, but it's throw is even shorter than their Gen 1 shifter. I love the stealth front and rear badging. Does the owner still have his 6 CD player? I'd be interest in it in that I have more CD's than Carter has Little Liver Pills. 🤣 This was another great upload Jason.👍👍 Save the Wave 🙋♂
Hi, Peter! I am not sure but I’ll ask him. I do not recall if the original unit was still in it when he switched it out. Glad to see you back with your longer posts these days. Hopefully that’s a sign you’re feeling better, my friend. I’ll let you know if he still has it. Have a great evening!
Jetstream Blue and Supersonic Blue are the best colors for these...victory red would be the only other color id even consider TBH. His is one of 345 of the 2010 Grand Sport coupe C6s in this color, and no telling how few were manuals
This car is beautiful I like chrome wheels if everybody has black rims you don't really stand out black rims are overdone they're like tattoos if everybody has them it doesn't make you unique just like the burnt orange Corvette in the background with chrome rims that's awesome as well black rims are overdone in my opinion
I love black wheels but not exclusively. Some colors it does go well with in my opinion. But this blue, black, white and red I think the chrome works well with. I definitely like variety. Too much of the same is boring. I absolutely agree with your tattoo assessment. I am burned out on them personally. 😁
Black wheels suck. For us older guys, black means you couldn't afford aluminum wheels, so you got painted steel wheels. As for me, I have a LeMans Blue 06 and run the silver GS wheels on it. The car gets compliments a LOT, and I've been asking people what they like so much. So far every one of them has said they like the silver wheels instead of black.
I don’t want to see all of either. I like variety. Chrome, brushed aluminum, black, bronze, white etc. even if it’s something I don’t like. Just like variety.
Black wheels are horrible. Black absorbs light, so you can't see the details of the wheels. Chrome is old school which I'm not a fan of either. Painted silver wheels is the way to go.
Those chrome wheels do look pretty awesome with that blue. Nice car.
Definitely. I’m not always a fan of chrome but it definitely works with certain colors.

Beautiful C6!! Everything ties together so well. I am not a chrome wheel guy, but like Tim said it just works with that color. 😍😍

Ceramic coating is bad advice but otherwise great video.
Why do you feel it’s bad advice?
@FRONT SEAT DRIVER Ceramic starts peeling after a few years. Wax is cheap and if applied regularly is better in the long run.
I’d like the wheels but boy those would be a ton of work to keep clean
Unfortunately, both badges are crooked
I didn’t really notice. I’ve seen it many times as well and never noticed as well. It’s okay. GM panels are often a little crooked too.
