I did this on my 2003 Subie Forester. I followed instructions and wow, awesome. The UV clearcoat really makes the difference. For $23 worth it.

You mentioned that the clear coat works best. If it's a thick coat. I wonder is there any harm in doing a second coating of clear coat 4 to 6 hours after the first one. What do you think?

The uv sealer has a bit of solvent in it so it kind of melts off the base layer if you try to put a second coat over the first.

How long does this last for lifetime or temporary?

Depends on the headlight and how well the uv coating is applied mine has been over a year and is still really clear but I can tell it's starting to dull just a little. I'm going to reapply the uv coating and see if it'll last a while longer.

"Period!"? I agree that the Sylvania kit is good ( I don't agree that it's expensive, it's under $20 ), but how do you know it's "the best. Period."? Project Farm does a good job of comparisons, and they are usually very objective. But even that channel usually gives its conclusions in less absolute terms.
