This makes WAY more sense. It’s better than tracers being attached to the barrel like in MW1
What if the blue print weapon tracer doesn't have a ammo type?
Better yet. Let you buy the tracers as its own pack kind of like the skins... i want the souless rounds on the m4 or lever action but nope
No it doesn’t, in real life tracer bullets are what gives the bullets colour not a barrel 🤦

By the way, you can only copy the tracer of a blueprint if that blueprint features a special ammo type. That RPK had high velocity rounds, and the tracer registered as a skin. If there's no special ammo type, you can't use that tracer on a different gun.
It's like how you can't copy the blueprint skin to other guns, but you can use the blueprint's attachments on other guns.
You can actually copy the blueprint skin onto other guns, you have to manually select the weapon base in the bottom right of the gunsmith instead of picking the gun from the menu like normal. Then it’ll give you the option to equip the skin.
Edit: I meant other setups of the same gun, this obviously doesn’t work on different weapon bases.

Then you claim that you *can* copy the blueprint skin onto other guns, then edited your post to say it only works for guns that have that blueprint to begin with, essentially making your post redundant because you just repeated what I said.
That's not even considering the fact that putting the skin onto the receiver only both makes the gun look (for the most part) ugly and removes the tracer effect.

This works with the season 4 Blackcell overpressured ammo with any weapon that supports it.
That is why it will be the best blackcell season ever
I don’t understand why tracers have to be exclusive to blueprints. I feel like more people would buy them if they had that modularity

@@forbiddensorrow If they make it cosmetic like camos you don't have to run the blueprints to use the tracers. Some blueprints don't even offer ammo type instead you have to run the blueprint for it to work it's a very janky system they have that needs to be fixed.

Yeah the skin is attached to the ammo type. Like have four grips and suppressors do. so as long as it's the same type of rounds/ attachment you can put the skin on them

This is a really cool hidden feature if I actually used tracers. There aren't many practical reasons for them in the game and they give your position away. Neat though.

It doesnt need the same ammo type it has to be the same receiver as the gun with the tracers and also the same ammo type

I bought the package Soulles And in that the bullets of the Tempus razorback you can put them in any assault rifle and in the subfusil gun you only need to remove all the accessories.
I mean, how can you see the target you’re trying to shoot with those flashes that the bullets cause when they hit?

This even works on co-op missions. I favorited the Gilded Ghost M4 in the menus, and when i loaded in with the default Hafid Port Hemlock that happens to use the same ammo i got the same trace effect. No death effect though
How? I didn’t think it had special ammo
@@big_oil oh they patched the hell out of it lol at this point it’s a random bug for me on the Hafid Port co-op, but as far as swapping blueprint ammo in custom loadouts it’s been stopped working for me

Find a gun with the same ammunition and equip the same skin with it
but what if the gun u have a blueprint for doesnt have an ammunition type on it
Then what you’d do is:
1. Pick the blueprint you want
2. Go to the gunsmith menu
3. There’ll be an option (generally in the low right corner of the menu) to select a weapon in the platform.
4. Select “skins” under the weapon you have
4. Change to whatever skin you want
It should retain the tracers if you don’t have a specific ammo type, plus other things like default mags and attachments will remain the same as the skin you had before.
That should work, otherwise I’m f’d lol
@@sandalogaming6766you do realize what you said doesn't even work. How I know is because I tried it with the Smg version of the tar21 heartbreaker. Changing platform doesn't work because the bullet is what also has the tracers otherwise the tracers are pre built into the weapon. Only bullet camos can transfer tracers.

Well people probably found that out a long time ago before you made the video. I’m sorry I just randomly senior video today so that’s why I am saying it but way that you said it you can use any around on any of your guns. It makes people believe that you can use any like for example, I can’t use certain trees around because I don’t have the same bullet in my favorite I saw rifle like I have a five fire trace around I bought you know from the fire guy with a bundle was called and I can’t use that in my gun because it’s not the same tracer bullets as the gun can hold so next video just make it clear and yeah I’m so glad they allow you to do thistrace around I wish they could do it on it. Every bullet doesn’t matter what caliber of bullets you have they’re all the same other than if you’re on a machine gun or a assault rifle those could be a different caliber, but all salt should be the same caliber but they’re not in this game.
None of the other blueprints have ammo types though so no tracer rounds for me

You can go to the gun you want tracers equip the blue print that has the tracers, then at the bottom right it should say your gun name click that then press edit on your gun and switch it to default

Their's quite a few, my suggestion is to look thru your lost for any tracers you do have and take a glance at if it uses a special ammo.. of so then the tracer can transfer

If anyone can help i have been having a problem with getting other guns the bone chiller tracer and death affects or impact affects alot of other videos have been no help so if anyone knows anything about it thanks
You can only do this with tracer blueprints that have an ammunition attachment like high velocity, armor piercing etc. For those guns the tracer effect is tied to that specific ammunition. So if theirs another gun that uses the same caliber ammunition like 5.56 or 7.62 you can select the same ammunition attachment like high velocity and add the tracer blueprint skin to the ammo.
Neither of the bone chiller blueprints have ammunition attachments so you can't do this with them.
