Other than Kyle, he is the greatest Raptor ever. We all loved his time here. Just glad we were all able to forgive and show our appreciation for all he did for basketball in Canada.
@@DavidMartinez-q6y dude went to a graduation before a game 7 when he really didn’t need to… played like crap and sold the raptors to hell the season before he went to the nets.. absolute sell out… s/o to Kawhi.
@coolbreeze3793 Hey man, you're allowed to feel the way you do. So do those of us who have moved on. I get you, though. I hated him for a long time after the way he left. But, times change, and sometimes it's better to forgive.
@@JohnnyLawrence293 He give all his athletic prime, play through injuries and lost alot of his time because of that deciesions. The raptors fans had the privelege see this man in his athletic prime. Every game he does some unbelivable things. He was the Greatest show on court for 2.5 years. If i had a time machine the first thing ive gonna do it's visit any in 00-02 Raptors home game to see Vinsanity.
Proud Raptor Fan from 1995 where it began, Congrats Vince well deserved, I remember watching that 2000 dunk contest. It put a stamp on the Raptors that night. Vince we remember the first time the Raptors was on a national televised game on NBC. Even though there was a small hump when you left we truly appreciate what you did for the Raptors franchise with all those players you shouted out. And I most say that numbered 15 in the rafters with your image and colour combo is probably the most fire! other teams in the league might be taking notes, congratulation Mr. Air Canada, Vinsanity, Half Man Half Amazing!.
What a moment for Toronto fans. Vince Carter's jersey hanging in the rafters is a celebration of his incredible career and the joy he brought to the franchise.
After Jordan and The Bulls ended, I did not really follow Basketball much. Then this guy came. After a friend of mine started showing me Vince Carter's highlights in his rooking year, I somehow started to watch the following year. The Carter era in Toronto cannot be replicated!!! Although it was a great experience for Toronto to get its 1st Title with Kawhi, the hype with Carter and how we were trying to build something with him was something I do not think I will ever see again. Loved it when he would travel on the road, and the road crowd was actually waiting for something spectacular from him, and he delivered. Those dunks he put on display in Madison Square Garden, and especially at Staples Centre was spectacular. NYC and LA crowd cheering for him added to the spectacle.
This was absolutely beautiful! The way Vince thanked everyone,...but that moment near the end with his mom was so heartfelt and pure! 😭 Congratulations Vince, you deserve this great honor! #15
I remember Vince coming to gauchos gym in the Bronx. Rucker Park game was rained out they moved it inside. Everyone knew he was coming showed up at halftime caught the windmill alley first time ever seen in a game shut the Gym down. At that time Vince was everything in the NBA. I kid from the Bronx seeing that was everything. Congrats my boy.
As a Raptors fan since 96’. This man is the reason Toronto still has a team. (Vancouver never drafted a Vince). And the reason we all play basketball in Canada !!!! Icon
Toronto would still have a team without VC, enough of this BS narrative. Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America. This market would have had a team with or without him. Vancouver was another story altogether.
What a moment for VC. He wants this so badly. Of course, he is the greatest Raptor. He changed Canada. Thank you so much for all these years. Salute to my hero forever.
Man this was very touching!😢 Glad for u VC man! U really truly deserve it. U are alot of us 80s -90s babies childhood heroe. U gave us the notion that anything is possible if u work hard towards it and put your mind to it.🏀👑1️⃣5️⃣🦖
VC is a very humble and classy man. On full display here! Watching this chokes me up. Stay classy Toronto. Great banner raising ceremony to a well deserved man. Shocked he remembered those lines and people to thank. Thank you Vince. You were a pleasure to watch.
Vinsanity ahhh man it’s a reason why they gave him that name! I’m 31 & I remember watching him elevate his game to a good 3 point shooter! This was well deserved cause he had a good ass career congrats Vinsanity!
Thank you Vince. Mr. Half man half amazing. You have made such impact on this team, this nation. As a raptors fan since 96'. We truly appreciate everything you have done for us.
Yes, yes yes finally a number. Congratulations, my man. Love you so so much congratulations on the Hall of Fame and the nets number too you deserve this all so so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think it was important that Carter acknowledged the... acrimony his departure incurred with the 'however you view it' comment. It, along with the excitement he brought to Toronto as a player, is an immutable part of his legacy. At the time (and for many years following) I loathed the way he quit on the team and forced the trade. As the years have passed, I'm willing to accept that he had to go on his own journey. Neither he, nor we, were mature enough. So much has happened since then, we can gloss over (if not entirely forgive) those miss-steps of the past. He was critical to making basketball viable here, and expanding the fanbase, and I believe in retrospect it was a necessary step in our own journey of growth as a franchise. Congratulations Vince on your long career, and -- deserved -- jersey retirement.
VINCE CARTER MADE A HUGE IMPACT IN THE NBA .... 2000 ALL START WEEKEND AMAZING DUNK CONTEST I'VE WATCHED NUMEROUS TIMES AS IF IT WAS MOVIE LOL HIS JERSEY WAS JUST AS POPULAR AS ALLEN IVERSON. FOOT LOCKER HAD ALL VINCE CARTER GEAR EARLY 2000S
I’m super happy for Vince , he is the reason I started watching basketball. During his entire career he carried himself in the best way possible and was a role model for so many people. The moment he had with his mom at the end was beautiful!!! #vinsanity #halfmanhalfamazing
Vince Carter is one of the most important people in Toronto history. Without him Toronto and the people that live here wouldn't be what they are today. It's a remarkable legacy, and probably one of the greatest legacies the NBA has produced. It's pretty much Vince and Drake who have had the biggest individual impact on the city.
I fell in love with basketball cause of this man. Increased my Vertical to 48" so I could dunk like him. Wore his jersey a lot!! Hard to believe how fast time flies man. Enjoy life to the fullest. Life is short and nobody cares what you doing so do something great without fear. ❤
That banner is the best one ive ever seen.. go Vince!

Vince is my fav player of all time. He changed Canadian basketball. He is the reason Canada have players like Wiggins, SGA, Jamal, Barret now.
Don't forget to include the Dorture Chamber, Lu Dort! But yeah I agree!
Once again, congrats to the Half Man, Half Amazing career, Vinsanity. 🔥

When VC said, "It's not just Carter 15. It's all of us going up. " I felt that. Thank you, Air Canada for putting Toronto on the map 🇨🇦 🏀
Bigger than basketball. Big up Vince. No words can be put together for the blessing it was to have him in Toronto.
Thank you VC for giving us all you had in those memorable 6 years in Toronto, so much love to you and your family.
