Slamdunk Champion alone will not make you a top 75 list lol what has Vince Carter done to be included? No MVP, average stats
Will always be one of favorite basketball players of all time. I still watch old video highlights. Special player and special man. Thank you for giving us fans so much joy watching you play the game you loved.
Greatest dunker of All-Time. Greatest Raptor of all-time.
Greatest dunker sure. Greatest Raptor..No..
So well deserved, Vince was a stand up dude on and of the bball court. He even visited my Toronto high school in the late 90's (Central Technical School) .
Even though he did not win a ring for the organization he still left a mark and will never be forgotten as one of the greatest Raptors off all time. Thanks for all the memories!!!!!!!!
I feel old. I always knew this day would come but a lot of time had to pass and obviously Vince played forever. Time had to pass because the negative Toronto sports media created a controversy on VC. He was young, in the spotlight, thriving.... made a decision, a personal one, and the Toronto sports media jumped on it creating a storm. They can eat their words now.
On a more positive note.... its really nice for Vince to have his kids there for the moment. A Toronto sports legend.
The Raptors should've signed him back in 2019. What a storybook ending it would've been for Vince to win a championship in Toronto. Regardless, the banner design is sick! Very well deserved for Vince! Half-man, Half-amazing forever!!!
I think there were rumours of that around trade deadline. As much as I would have liked that, it might had been a distraction to the championship run
@@Rodster129 I agree. I recall there being talk of the Hawks waiving him and us brining him on. I think they went for Jeremy Lin instead. I wish they would have brought VC back, but I too think it would have been a distraction and perhaps altered the outcome of that run.
Would have been nice
I agree
Thank you legend. Long overdue but it happened.
He’s only been retired for 4 years
@@danielmiller1462only 4 years
@@InfiniteCoreXD he was on 10 teams over 22 years
This was everything in the 00s :( Thank you VC!
Most iconic player Toronto’s ever had. #15 forever
Wow! getting choked up myself seeing that raw emotion as he entered the arena and seeing some of his former team mates. Vince made me a basketball fan. I loved watching basketball because of him. Well deserved and finally!! That banner is sick
I just know that last hug with his mom hit him hard
It is so heartwarming to see VC so happy, he truly appreciates this moment and will never forget this for the rest of his life for sure.
Only those who grow up in Toronto Canada during the Vince Carter era would understand what he has meant to this country. VC 15 The Greatest Raptor of All Time!
I would say that title goes to kyle but he is yet to be retired. But for sure he is 2nd or 3rd on the list.

This man loved toronto. We love we vince.
Got me BAWLIN bro...man...vc deserves this spot!!!!
There’s nothing like mom standing back and taking the moment in
How can you not love Vince? Class act and what an amazing player he was. This is special.
he played thru like 3-4 different eras 🔥🔥 DEFINITION OF LONGEVITY
He’s the only player where it seems he’s hanging in the air for way too long that it seems unreal.
Literally half-man half-amazing.
He’s such an icon. He did so much for Basketball in Canada. The franchise was built on his back, and it’s about time they give him his dues. I’m glad he’s still young and able to enjoy and revel in it.
Vince, you truly are the quintessential reason why I fell in love of the game of basketball. Your highlights, game, professionalism, and being half man half amazing for the city of Toronto. Jersey retired and hall of famer what a phenomenal year. Thank you my idol Vince Carter
Toronto Raptors is synonymous to Vince Carter. He made the franchise so popular during his stint with the team. I won't be surprise if they build a statue for Carter as well.
The Banner is 10/10
The Painting, the announcer, the moment!
Everything was perfect.
That whole ceremony was amazing so deserving of it! He’s an amazing person off and on the court god bless him he’s an NBA and raptors legend! 😊❤
"The memories however you view it, goes up tonight"...was a 🎤 drop moment!! Congrats Air Canada Vince Carter!!
Very humble half man, half amazing... Epic!
If only he had been as humble back when he asked for the trade. If tmac had been humble...we'd have had 2 chips back in the 2000s. Dont believe me google kobe bryants comments on it
@jamieshouldbeavailable It is Babcock, who shun him....he didn't want to go.
@jamieshouldbeavailable He was humble back then when he asked for a trade. STOP being entitled to Vince Carter he, you guys don't own him.
Thank you for all you brought to the game. Definition of leaving it all on the floor. Legend
That's the way to honor a player with best highlighter iconic pic ❤
When he retired he was top 5 in all time 3pointers. When he retired he had the most 3 point game winners in the history of the NBA, he’s top 5 all time in NBA game winners , he wasn’t just a dunker. That man can shoot that thang too!
Masai looks like JayZ with a mix of Ray Allen.
I know I've actually met him still tho fo realz and even have a picture with him tho chill dude and from the second time I got to see him I told you that and he literally took it as a compliment tho so yeah lol 😂.
Thank you Vince for all the memories you gave me! --- You have a lot of fans from China supporting you, Legend!
That banner is sick with the picture on it🔥🔥🔥🔥
You were one of the most important basketball players of my adolescence. I admired your dunks where you danced with harmony. As I watch your years in Toronto, I understand better how old I have become. I was very emotional with you and my eyes filled with tears. I'm glad to have you, air canada ❤
This is very special for all of us frrrr. Congrats Vince Carter!! The GOAT forever! One of my fav NBA players of all time. ♾️👑🐐💯💯🔥🔥
This man made me fall in love with basketball as a teen🥹 I finally met him as an adult, working with a young child in care who was a newcomer to Canada and his hero was VC! Both our days were made when we got to shake his hand and take a picture. Unfortunately social media was not a thing back then but I never forgot that moment ❤
Amazing ❤
He will forever be remembered for putting Toronto on
I started watching the Raptors when Bosh was drafted, and I’ve always booed VC whenever he played against the Raptors. Seeing this makes me realize how much people loved VC and how much VC loved the city.
What a beautiful banner that had the number with his famous dunk contest dunk. Toronto does jersey retirements right!
I was at your tribute game on Nov. 19th 2014. Never could come to a game as a teenager. Once I was able to buy a ticket, you were traded. You deserved the standing ovation that day and always. I was 15 years old when I started watching you. Thank you for the amazing memories you gave Toronto Raptors fans and the young people like me who grew up completely in love with you. So happy to see you get the love you deserve Vince Carter - love you from time. ❤️🇨🇦❤
I just love how humble vince is a trait most stars need
Thanks vc you was apart of the mavs 2014 team
The only team that year to push the 2014 spurs to a 7 game series
Cannot believe I was moved to tears by this, I am not a Vince Carter fan. However, I know he had been an amazing basketball player. I'd love to thank him for what he had/has done for basketball in Canada and as a Torontonian, I am even more grateful to him. Also, he's wearing a poppy, thank you Vince, for respecting one of the moments/things we Canadians feel very deeply about!
Not from Toronto or a Toronto Raptors fan, but I can definitely say half man half amazing was a part of my childhood and most definitely deserved to be in the hall of fame and have his jersey retired.
Vince Carter is amazing and I pray for him the best life after his retirement. It's not about winning championships, but making an impact for generations to see. Thank you Vince Carter and GOD Bless.
Well done Vince. This was beautiful. Canada will always love you!
That banner design is actually so cold. Design team went crazy 🔥
now they had the new court w vc raptor! design team really went crazy
Half man / Half Amazing you deserve this!!!! Legend on his own peddle stool!!
This is the best jersey retirement reaction from the player I’ve ever seen in any sport. Thank you for the memories. 🙏🏼
this has got to be one of the most emotional jersey retirement
Every time I watch this I get chills. Vince, thank you for the thunderous dunks, acrobatic finishes, graceful athletism, incredible game winning and go head shots. Thank you for inspiring so many Canadians to want to play basketball. Forever grateful 🫡🇨🇦
Seeing a dad crying is speechless
Air Canada..
Thank you for being with me in my 10s ~30s.
In my heart, you are forever.
May the blessings be with you..
Son and mother moment who was his believer at 23:26 beautiful ❤
Yeah, I cried. Little Vince is an amazing kid and so emotionally mature to be a baby! Big Vince crying with his mom made me so happy to see! She's so proud of her baby! And I love they had his picture on the banner!
The greatest dunker in NBA history
Well deserved..had me crying . Love playing NBA games with Vince in it .
