  • The history of art is long and complex. It starts with the earliest creations using stone, wood, bronze, and natural pigments. Then, it ventures through the 15th Century, with the introduction of oil on canvas, before moving to the acrylics, sprays, and markers of the 20th Century.
In today’s video, we want to fast forward to the latest trend in the realm of art: the digital revolution. This new age of digital technologies brought with it the widest range of instruments for contemporary creators. The new nature of digital art - computer born, immersive, and interactive - make it perfect for both artistic creativity and viewer engagement. The COVID-19 pandemic only accelerated this phenomenon, which has been in development for the past 70 years!
So, this begs an important question: what is digital art? Today, we will answer this question and take a detailed dive into the history of the movement. So, let’s get started!

I like your videos very much. I'm an artist as well. I use my computer, and the things that I have created with it are amazing. Digital art is amazing, because things are created in ways that you cannot produce. I really like digital art works.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of support for NFTs comes out of pure innocence from the shadyness of the whole thing. Like, if your in favor of artists, and you know the dirty underbelly of the NFT world, you won't support NFTs.

I prefer to paint with my ipad because it saves me on the expenses of always having to purchase and replace art supplies. Also, a physical painting canvas takes up real physical space. Even to the point in which renting out studio space is another wallet draining necessity.

It's good to know that digital artists have used Covid- 19 crisis to their artistic advantage.
I never expected that I would feel grateful to the pandemic hehe. 😃
Seriously, it's far older than I thought it would be, stretching back to as early as the era of World War II.
    Thanks!

All that art is so mainstream coded like that banana they taped to the wall. This isn't the digital art I've known well since 2010. And AI generated crap is not art, I will not be fooled 😠 nft users have stolen my work and put them up for 2 DOLLARS?! Like that's how much my work is worth apparently. Drawing and painting digitally is a lot of work that takes the same amount of brain to do like on paper. You can't just do prompts into a machine and get an image, doesn't make you an artist

But digital art is ugly, cold and dehumanizing. It won't achieve anything until an artist can make it a positive experience.
