n.flying and day6 are both really talented but they have pretty different concepts while day6 is a little more emotional, n.flying is a lot more upbeat and fun. thank you for reacting to them it’d be cool to see you react to more of their songs.
Hmm, you're not wrong, but I'd describe it more like N.Flying combines rap and rock more often as well as (at least in their Japanese songs) electronic elements. Day6 on the other hand experiments more with jazz, blues, industrial, latin influences and the likes.

I think it'd be pretty hard to pass of Spring Memories as a rock song in any way, even the categorization of a rock ballad wouldn't come close to fitting that song. Member Kwangjin left after the charges (nothing was ever proven one way or the other though). On the other hand the leader Seunghub has literally gone viral on multiple occasions for being an angel. The drummer and guitarist, Jaehyun and Hun, have a RUclips channel called 2idiots, full of random hilarious videos. The vocalist Hwesung was a contestant on produce 101 season 2, but despite easily being the best vocalist on the show ever, he was eliminated, and it wasn't till after the show on king of masked singer that he really got to show his incredible vocal abilities.
Kwangjin was literally kicked out by FNC. I'm very certain he was kicked out for other reasons than harrassment, because FNC, which houses FTIsland, CNBlue AND n.flying, never kicked out neither the fti member nor the cnblue member. They both left on their own accord. Kwangjin was supposed to debut with CNBlue, but he was withdrawn last minute (he was with cnblue during their japanese debut but not during their korean debut ) so we can all safely assume that there was something else that made fnc kick him.

So last year this song came out as a sarcastic song (they even put actual potatos on a stick and gave them to fans to 'use' as lightsticks during their show)... but since this year.. this song became reality, especially since they really won 'band of the year' awards this past month
They didn't win band of the year this year :( Jannabi did. But they were nominated and I'm sure N.Fias are really proud of them for that alone given how much stuff has changed since this time last year.

Flying's charm is their wild fun energy and their rap influences they have mixed with rock. Flying has been around for a long time and only now in 2019 are they finally getting the recognition that they deserved they're really a fun hyperactive in your face kind of band with their music. Hot Potato came out before they started getting recognized and unfortunately not many people knew them. In a way, Hot Potato was N. Flying making fun of themselves since they could only dream of being popular at the time. Some fans worried that they would disband because they were not well off even tho being around for awhile. The song is them taking jabs at themselves because they didn't think they would become successful but were still hopeful. Now they're finally getting noticed. This band has such humble members, you always see them happily cheering other artists for winning awards but they never expected to hear cheers for themselves. Seeing their tears of happiness this year is truly rewarding

Trivia, they come from FNC Entertainment and their debut rounded out the envisioned rock band trio for the company FT Island N.Flying CN Blue Hot Potato came 2 years ago and the joke was that they weren't very well known but dreamed of being hot stuff (hot potatoes). The drummer is stamping his thumbprint on a kidney donor form to help them pay bills. They hit their first #1 track and wins in 2019 but still are underappreciated since Korea doesn't have a lot of love for live rock music unfortunately. And they actually did win Band of the Year 2019 at the 2019 Brand awards, along with Best Rock Song 2019 from the Melon Music Awards, primarily because of their song Rooftop (written by the leader/pianist/vocalist/rapper of the group Seunghyub, one of the reasons why he's able to write all of their songs now). My favorite song by N.Flying! 100% with you on everything. Jaehyun (drummer) got me into the band. He is adorable on top of having mad drum skills. However Seunghyub is fire! On first listen like you, I was caught off guard. He basically bi*ch slapped me with his TALENT until I said Thank You. I was expecting a CNBlue vibe but wow! This band is its own thing and definitely special. Though they've touring I wish they'd get more worldwide exposure like Jimmy Fallon's show would be a good fit.
Highly recommend you check out their kpop medley, it's super fun. Also, the channel 2diots is run by the guitarist and drummer so you should check it out in your free time (they did a rock cover of the cat song)
They didn't win the band of a year, sadly. Also they did that face because they've had to sign up a contract selling their organs to become famous. All mv was about they dreaming how they will become famous if they sign up lol
N.flying has a very diverse musical range. It’s hard to really encapsulate them in one handy location but they are one of my FAVORITE GROUPS PERIOD. My favorite is their more pop punk sound but they have emotional ballads and recently went from almost complete obscurity to number 1 viral song of the year out of nowhere. Their story has been really emotional for us fans this last year but these men are honestly incredible human beings and AMAZING musicians they have made some INCREDIBLE covers on their Japanese RUclips channel and various variety shows. This MV is especially meaningful because they were nothing when this came out and they were literally roasting themselves for dreaming of being hot shit in the future. The real, leave it and debut track awesome (before the main vocal came) are my faves but rooftop, good bam are their mellower tracks. Definitely check out their red velvet collar cover track, immortal songs winning performance or their medleys.
Yaassss!!! This makes me so happy! I'm a huge fan of day6, the rose, and n.flying, and you seeing you react to all of them makes me so happy! I enjoy your reactions so much! From N.Flying, I'd recommend Flowerwork and The Real. The Real also kinda has the same goofy vibe as Hot Potato going on, but it's still AMAZING! The music video is great too! Like, come on, who doesn't love a band who sacrifices their band mate to catch a giant, super hot mermaid? And then, Flowerwork is my all time favorite N.Flying song as well. Oh, and also their song Up All Night. I personally think it's one of their best songs, though their debut song Awesome is AMAZING too. Overall, N.Flying doesn't have a single bad song lol.

When this was released a few years ago, they never had any band of the year award so the song is like clowning themselves. I've listened to a majority of their albums, I'd say the most metal/rock song they have just might be 'Say Goodbye' and maybe even 'Fall With You'. Their newest album is really great- I would recommend '4242' which has all these sorts of really nifty arrangements, sounds, and composition. It's a jazzy, pop funk sort of number which I think any type of musician will find interesting. Great video! Stan N. Flying 🤟
Also FTISLAND are kind of the pioneer in term of rock band in Korea as it's not that appreciated by the general public and those guys are mental lol but N.Flying recently got lots and lots of success which I'm so happy because they were on verge on disbanding multiple times and didn't had a very easy path 😔 I'm happy you got into them! #NFiaAndProud

Hweseung is my favorite vocalist in all of kmusic. His covers of Queen, and "classic" Korean ballads (pre kpop music) are impressive. Incredible range. If you're interested I can send a link (or you can look up) to a duet he does with Lee Hoon Ki (from FT Island). Amazing!

As of the first of January this yet N.Flying have a new bassist! He was the leader and bassist of another group under the same company who disbanded in April. I would highly recommend giving a listen to the k-rock group Busters. They are super talented and the lead vocal does some screamo in their songs. Check out their song Lost Child!

N. Flying has been around for a long time and only now in 2019 are they finally getting the recognition that they deserved they're really a fun hyperactive in your face kind of band with their music. Hot Potato came out before they started getting recognized and unfortunately not many people knew them. In a way, Hot Potato was N. Flying making fun of themselves since they could only dream of being popular at the time. Some fans worried that they would disband because they were not well off even tho being around for awhile. The song is them taking jabs at themselves because they didn't think they would become successful but were still hopeful. Now they're finally getting noticed. This band has such humble members, you always see them happily cheering other artists for winning awards but they never expected to hear cheers for themselves. Seeing their tears of happiness this year is truly rewarding

Hot Potato came 2 years ago and the joke was that they weren't very well known but dreamed of being hot stuff (hot potatoes). The drummer is stamping his thumbprint on a kidney donor form to help them pay bills.
They hit their first #1 track and wins in 2019 but still are underappreciated since Korea doesn't have a lot of love for live rock music unfortunately.
And they actually did win Band of the Year 2019 at the 2019 Brand awards, along with Best Rock Song 2019 from the Melon Music Awards, primarily because of their song Rooftop (written by the leader/pianist/vocalist/rapper of the group Seunghyub, one of the reasons why he's able to write all of their songs now). It's more of a laid-back track but with strong vocals like always.

Their energy in live performances is undoubtedly their biggest strength as a group and they have a lot of musical talent. Many people would describe them as being perfect for Anime OSTs, you can hear a lot of Japanese rock influences from them at times

My favorite song by N.Flying! 100% with you on everything. Jaehyun (drummer) got me into the band. He is adorable on top of having mad drum skills. However Seunghyub is fire! On first listen like you, I was caught off guard. He basically bi*ch slapped me with his TALENT until I said Thank You. I was expecting a CNBlue vibe but wow! This band is its own thing and definitely special. Though they've touring I wish they'd get more worldwide exposure like Jimmy Fallon's show would be a good fit.

Highly recommend you check out their kpop medley, it's super fun. Also, the channel 2diots is run by the guitarist and drummer so you should check it out in your free time (they did a rock cover of the cat song)
They didn't win the band of a year, sadly. Also they did that face because they've had to sign up a contract selling their organs to become famous. All mv was about they dreaming how they will become famous if they sign up lol

Day6 deserved band of the year imo but N.Flying still did well with Rooftop!
N.flying has a very diverse musical range. It’s hard to really encapsulate them in one handy location but they are one of my FAVORITE GROUPS PERIOD. My favorite is their more pop punk sound but they have emotional ballads and recently went from almost complete obscurity to number 1 viral song of the year out of nowhere. Their story has been really emotional for us fans this last year but these men are honestly incredible human beings and AMAZING musicians they have made some INCREDIBLE covers on their Japanese RUclips channel and various variety shows. This MV is especially meaningful because they were nothing when this came out and they were literally roasting themselves for dreaming of being hot shit in the future. The real, leave it and debut track awesome (before the main vocal came) are my faves but rooftop, good bam are their mellower tracks. Definitely check out their red velvet collar cover track, immortal songs winning performance or their medleys.

From N.Flying, I'd recommend Flowerwork and The Real. The Real also kinda has the same goofy vibe as Hot Potato going on, but it's still AMAZING! The music video is great too! Like, come on, who doesn't love a band who sacrifices their band mate to catch a giant, super hot mermaid? And then, Flowerwork is my all time favorite N.Flying song as well.
Oh, and also their song Up All Night. I personally think it's one of their best songs, though their debut song Awesome is AMAZING too. Overall, N.Flying doesn't have a single bad song lol.
They are amazing, I'm sad to hear they weren't that popular. I discovered them when I watched through a music show for my ults and fastforwarded through most acts after half a minute - but watched their stage in full.

When this was released a few years ago, they never had any band of the year award so the song is like clowning themselves. After their hit song Rooftop swept korean charts #1 in 2019 tho, they finally had multiple awards!! We’re so proud of them, they came a long way. Thank you for appreciating their music ❤️

You might like their Japanese song, Lupin, which the guitarist, Cha Hun helped write.. Or 2 of the older one, The Real or Awesome. I've listened to a majority of their albums, I'd say the most metal/rock song they have just might be 'Say Goodbye' and maybe even 'Fall With You'. Their newest album is really great- I would recommend '4242' which has all these sorts of really nifty arrangements, sounds, and composition. It's a jazzy, pop funk sort of number which I think any type of musician will find interesting. Great video! Stan N. Flying 🤟
Also FTISLAND are kind of the pioneer in term of rock band in Korea as it's not that appreciated by the general public and those guys are mental lol but N.Flying recently got lots and lots of success which I'm so happy because they were on verge on disbanding multiple times and didn't had a very easy path 😔 I'm happy you got into them! #NFiaAndProud

Hweseung is my favorite vocalist in all of kmusic. His covers of Queen, and "classic" Korean ballads (pre kpop music) are impressive. Incredible range. If you're interested I can send a link (or you can look up) to a duet he does with Lee Hoon Ki (from FT Island). Amazing!

As of the first of January this yet N.Flying have a new bassist! He was the leader and bassist of another group under the same company who disbanded in April.
I would highly recommend giving a listen to the k-rock group Busters. They are super talented and the lead vocal does some screamo in their songs. Check out their song Lost Child!

I’m glad you liked N.Flying!! They have really catchy and good songs. They work hard af. Their main vocalist Hweseung is a power house fr. Other k bands I recommend are IZ and Onewe. Their concept is a bit more emotional, kinda like Day6.
HOT POTATO was the song that made me an N.fia (N.flying stan) but you should check out some of their recent stuff too like "All Night" "leave it" and "flowerwork" ALSO the vocalist Yoo Hweseung does a rock ballad duet with the lead singer of FT Island which has AN INSANE HIGHNOTE and is to die for

N.Flying sometimes brought along to live events and such a bassist named Dongsung from the now disbanded band under the same company, Honeyst. We all hope that he will join them since he is very close friends with Seunghyub and overall just really fits in with them, but there's nothing yet.

They just got a new bassist! His name is Dongsung and he used to be a member of the group HONEYST which disbanded in April. He also replaced Hwesung as the maknae (who has previously repalaced Jaehyun)
