I’m not gonna lie with this new mob, I kinda want it to be hostile to everything that’s in the pale garden. As like a guardian that doesn’t care what you are, it must protect the garden.
Itd be fun if he had nametag easter eggs. Imagine naming him "peanut" and he puts his arms up like a zombie. Or you put it like "stalker" and he attacks everyone
A quick detail you glossed over that I've consistently taken issue with regarding the pale garden is the creepers. It truly feels like it goes against the quiet creepiness of the biome when you're being assaulted by spawns that aren't the creaking itself. I wish it had some sort of modified spawn system or something since in my experience it just plays like any other biome at night (which is when it really matters because of the creaking)
Maybe they should code it to prevent hostile mob spawns like how spawns are blocked in the deep dark. I wouldn't want a creeper to drop down on me while I'm hiding from a warden and I don't think anyone wants to be creepered when they're playing weeping angels with the creeking
Being unable to spawn other hostile mobs would make the pale garden a lot more attractive. Imagine you want a safe zone for your base (even if a little dull) but first you have to face the threat of the creaking and hunt for all the spawn blocks
Given the fact you can easily make data packs have biomes that removes the ability of specific mobs from spawning if you wanted, I fully agree since it's quite easy to do manually and makes it better
I actually like how the creaking doesn’t drop anything and that the resins act as the drop. Because I find it way creepier for it to crumble apart and disappear rather than crumble apart and drop something.
Im glad they've added new features to make the new biome valuable. Initially it was just a place to get a new woodtype and new coloured moss but now that creekings can be farmed for something, theyre gonna be sought after. And the flowers look so cool

I would love to have the open flowers be able to detect when a player is looking at it and then emits a redstone signal. That way we can have another thing like the sculk sensor but for sight.
I like how resin has to be collected, that’s interesting. I dunno how I feel about the resin blocks; they look a little weird but new blocks are basically always a good thing (even if I get overwhelmed on creative nowadays). The flowers seem really cool!
It'd be really cool if instead of making Pale Oak fireproof, they make it burn fast with a low spread chance. Meaning the trees would burn away really fast, but the fire wouldn't spread to more trees. Or even just leave the tree half burnt. Minecraft already has burn speed and spread chance so it wouldn't be a hard change either. Plus it'd still be an interesting niche since in theory you could create something like a fuse with it if it burns fast enough.
Build hack idea: Putting resin on tree leaves makes it look like little christmas lights, perfect for Christmas builds, and with resource packs you can even make them have multiple colors.
I'm glad the heart is finally renewable, too bad you still need to find the biom to obtain it though, unless you happen to spawn near a woodland mansion. Also a second orange trim color? Cool that the flowers keep their state when mined, would've expected it to drop the same state regardless. Hopefully they add a structure made of the new blocks, maybe some kind of creepy house. I'm expecting someone on Hermitcraft to build a giant creaking statue, maybe with creaking hearts for eyes so they light up at night.
Mojang: We can't add fireflies because they're poisonous to Frogs Also Mojang: we added a flower that's *poisonous to bees* when they do what bees are meant to do
It can’t be a real attribute to real life ever since Microsoft bought mojang they try to keep the real attributes away from mincraft so bees dying to a fantasy flower is okay sense it’s not a real thing.
I think the point is that the flowers don't generate in any of the bees' natural biomes. In most cases the poisoning interaction would be player driven and reflecting human involvement in irl habitat changes. That's clearly different to the frog situation where eating/being eaten was the mechanic that both were added to accomplish. Removing the frog/firefly interaction very much affected the reason to add the fireflies in the first place. Sure, I would have loved it if Mojang kept them as atmospheric only, but I can definitely understand them choosing to rather shelve the feature for a future update where their inclusion gets a larger context.
Resin clump is amazing. I like that it's a clever way to add a ton of building options for the player, without a ton of work from the devs. Patches of flowers, fruits on trees, ore, drops of lava, interior decorations... that's many options from a single item !
>I dont think we meant make its damage go from 'Barely Noticeable' to 'Insignificant' It went from 1 damage to 4. I'd personally argue that's perfectly fine, you do not need to make it an Enderman that does *10* damage/half your health bar *per hit,* or more. Zombies on Hard do 4.5 damage (3 on Normal, 2.5 on Easy) per hit. I mostly had an issue with it doing 1 point of damage per hit to an unarmored player, making it a SIGNIFICANTLY easier Silverfish (except on Hard, which does 1.5 damage instead of 1, meaning it was doing *more* per hit than a Creaking) :V
I gotta say adding resin had got to be one of my favorite new blocks in a VERY long time! It’s just so bright and colorful without having stupid textures, instead, it uses things people actually like! Like bricks and such. It just feels like something ripped right from a classic mod like tinkers construct or twilight forest, and it’s awesome to see this in the main game
2:48 "A Creaking spawned by command or Creaking Heart *_no longer_* avoids damaging blocks" The Spawn Egg Creaking, on the other hand, _will_ avoid damaging blocks like cacti.
the bee poison dont ticking is due to the strange system mojang put in place for effects. Effects only actually do something when their ticks change, since the bee is still in the source of the poison (the flower) the ticks dont go down and thus the bee takes no damage.
I don't care about the uses of this, the pale garden biome is just gorgeous XD. The contrast between the grey/green and the bright orange resin is great, I love how it looks.
Wow wasn't expecting all this stuff. Have to say though I'm really glad they're giving a bit more attention to the pale forest since they seem a little unpolished still, and definitely have the potential be super vibey with a little more work.
On the one hand, I like that they're adding reasons to bother encountering the creaking at all. On the other hand, as someone who's not a builder, I do hope resin and/or eyeblossoms get more functional uses, otherwise it's still not worth dealing with for me personally.
@@EmperorPenguin1217 Yeah, I was kind of hoping that would be how the creaking heart worked when they added comparator functionality to it. Like, "outputs a signal when the creaking it's attached to is being looked at". It'd still be kind of dumb only working at night, but it'd be a little useful. Maybe having that be a theme of resin mixed with redstone -- "gaze related" functionality -- would be a good way to do it, and also to allow such things to work all day even if the creaking themselves still despawn at sunrise.
Resin/Amber is literally *softer* and even MORE Brittle than Gold :V It'd make a pretty godawful/useless set (plus we already have issues with "Gold is Useless")
I see what there doing. Before people were asking “well if it’s so dangerous at night in this biome why go in there?”. Well the creaking is now needed to farm resin and the new eye blossom only found in the biome means you have legit reasons to go into the pale garden even at night.
I mean how you want to tackle it is really up to the player: easy way or challenging way. It’s impossible to prevent players from finding some kind of loophole in an infinite game like this
@@thebrustkid7080 I mean a couple of guys made a video where you can essentially infinitely spawn wardens and kill them in an auto-trap to farm the blocks they drop. So much for force of nature. A game like this has built in cheese tactics.
@@sboy2044 but it’s much easier to find them at night. And judging from the vid attacking generated additional resin. But ultimately Minecraft has many ways you can cheese the system. It’s just its nature as an open world with few actual limits.

As a nodded player, I can't help but image that when mods like Gregtech or IC2 get updated/ported to the newest version, the good 'ol rubber tree is going to be removed (as it's those mods' source of resin) and we will have to go through all this mess to get it.
This update is literally a giant hollow knight reference: the Pale Garden looks like a mix of Queen's GARDENS and the White Palace that the PALE king resides in, and now they added stuff that visually resembles the infection and delicate flowers. I see you, Mojang
It's a long shot but imagine if putting resin on blocks could act like glue. Essentially creating a one-sided alike block. That could be massive if not a little op.
We should be able to use the different ‘bricks’ to create a variable brick textured block. Regular brick block has a pretty homogeneous color range as compared to real world masonry and brick walls. The ability to use these resin blocks and nether brick in between regular baked clay brick could allow for a more broad range of hues. Maybe introduce a red nether brick as well.
7:13 So we can create the flower game then? Rule One. A living flower with less than two living neighbors is cut off. It dies. Rule Two. A living flower with two or three living neighbors is connected. It lives. Rule Three. A living flower with more than three living neighbors is starved and overcrowded. It dies. Rule Four. A dead flower with exactly three living neighbors is reborn. It springs back to life. The only play permitted in the game is the arrangement of the initial flowers.
Calling this whole thing a drop is such a disservice to themselves imo, they've added and listened to the community a lot regarding it all. I wonder what a full update will be considered if a new biome with this many features is considered a drop? Can't wait to use the new resin blocks to mix with the honey blocks already in the game, they pair well together ♥
Imagine making a blindness potion outta these new flowers. And using a fermented spider eye reverses the effects and grants you something like a brightness potion
Good they are using stuff they started making in Potato Update. Also it's really nice to see that cores are now replenishable. Now we only need to find a method go farm it in bigger amounts.
Im just glad they listened and implemented something that actually encouraged you to interact with the new biome I just think maybe they just adjust how spawns work inside it because the creep factor kinda goes away when literal creepers are blowing up in your face every 10 seconds
The resin clumps look fantastic. Such a nice feature and I agree we need more colors. The blocks and bricks... not so much. The bricks especially look like a texture from an old minecraft mod, and I mean that in the worst way possible. But oh well. We did get a big win with the new wood.

love the color of the resin blocks, but I hate the texture. It looks like baked beans.
Be prepared for the re-emergence of baked bean forts
Admittedly, looks closer to Oranges, but fair
i love this, feels like exaclty what we’ve been asking for to add more life to the pale garden
The creaking is allowed to walk goofy, your not supposed to see it.
By that logic, it wouldn't need any animation at all.
But maybe others playing w/you are supposed to see it
@@QUBIQUBED if someone else is looking that would also freeze it I'd assume
@@QUBIQUBED AFAIK, if *anyone* looks at it, it freezes.
@@KBRoller That would be kind of cool actually. It just sliding towards you.
I love literally every part of this. No complaints for this update so far.
Build hack idea: Putting resin on tree leaves makes it look like little christmas lights, perfect for Christmas builds, and with resource packs you can even make them have multiple colors.
That resin looks sick!
I hope they add a way to prevent the changing of the flower state in the overworld. Like how you can wax copper. (Maybe use resin in some way?)
"And I have orange hair!"
Xisuma 2024
Resin block is the "we have lava at home" block
Baby proofed lava
The resin reminds me of something out of BetterEnd. Also, those flowers are easily one of the coolest blocks I've ever seen.
i LOVE the creaking's dying animation its so creepy and cool
I'm glad the heart is finally renewable, too bad you still need to find the biom to obtain it though, unless you happen to spawn near a woodland mansion. Also a second orange trim color? Cool that the flowers keep their state when mined, would've expected it to drop the same state regardless.
Hopefully they add a structure made of the new blocks, maybe some kind of creepy house.
I'm expecting someone on Hermitcraft to build a giant creaking statue, maybe with creaking hearts for eyes so they light up at night.
>a second orange trim color?
First, unless you count Brown as Orange too
@@higueraft571 this was before I saw it compared to copper. And yes, copper is a dull orange.
Mojang: We can't add fireflies because they're poisonous to Frogs
Also Mojang: we added a flower that's *poisonous to bees* when they do what bees are meant to do
Eyeblossoms aren't real
@@whateverIwasthinkingatthetime cookies and parrots are
It can’t be a real attribute to real life ever since Microsoft bought mojang they try to keep the real attributes away from mincraft so bees dying to a fantasy flower is okay sense it’s not a real thing.
@@AtomixKingg and parrots cant eat chocolate
I think the point is that the flowers don't generate in any of the bees' natural biomes. In most cases the poisoning interaction would be player driven and reflecting human involvement in irl habitat changes. That's clearly different to the frog situation where eating/being eaten was the mechanic that both were added to accomplish. Removing the frog/firefly interaction very much affected the reason to add the fireflies in the first place. Sure, I would have loved it if Mojang kept them as atmospheric only, but I can definitely understand them choosing to rather shelve the feature for a future update where their inclusion gets a larger context.
The creaking disapparing in a 1x1 hole is really nice
they should make it so that the pale trees aren't flammable, so that players cant just burn the forest down.
Video starts with ginger Steve : wonders if I clicked the wrong notification
Resin clump is amazing. I like that it's a clever way to add a ton of building options for the player, without a ton of work from the devs. Patches of flowers, fruits on trees, ore, drops of lava, interior decorations... that's many options from a single item !
Mojang when we said make the creaking stronger I dont think we meant make its damage go from 'Barely Noticeable' to 'Insignificant'
>I dont think we meant make its damage go from 'Barely Noticeable' to 'Insignificant'
It went from 1 damage to 4.
Finally!! They keep adding new armor trims but I have been wanting more materials to trim with.
The Safetymechanic to kill the new mob is sooo cool, so many developer forgot this kind of features
Finally, a block to make a giant can of baked beans with !!!
That is possibly the best use for a block I have ever heard
Copper Ore Block...
Block of raw iron:
I actually really like the new creaking animations, makes it feel a lot creepier
2:48 "A Creaking spawned by command or Creaking Heart *_no longer_* avoids damaging blocks"
The Spawn Egg Creaking, on the other hand, _will_ avoid damaging blocks like cacti.
I feel like the closed variant of the flower should give blindness in the suspicious stew.
The closed should give blindness and the open should give night vision.
@@murlocaggrob2192 10/10 suggest it on the feedback website of minecraft
the bee poison dont ticking is due to the strange system mojang put in place for effects.
Also with the flowers, in closed state, it can be turned into grey dye and the open state can be turned into orange dye
i like the flowers
On the one hand, I like that they're adding reasons to bother encountering the creaking at all. On the other hand, as someone who's not a builder, I do hope resin and/or eyeblossoms get more functional uses, otherwise it's still not worth dealing with for me personally.
Agree, not sure what resin would do though
Other than maybe make a component with a power level depending on if you're facing it
@@EmperorPenguin1217 Yeah, I was kind of hoping that would be how the creaking heart worked when they added comparator functionality to it.
Its "Minecraft" and not "Everything-must-have-2000-purposes-to-exist-Craft"
@@Satwr Honestly, even Terraria isnt this.
There's an entire crafting line for a TOILET, for example.
Thought the resin bricks were ingots and was hoping for a new toolset
Resin/Amber is literally *softer* and even MORE Brittle than Gold :V
It'd make a pretty godawful/useless set (plus we already have issues with "Gold is Useless")
Okay, so I'll need a natural spawned Creaking for my planned infested xp farm. Cool thank you X.
I see what there doing. Before people were asking “well if it’s so dangerous at night in this biome why go in there?”. Well the creaking is now needed to farm resin and the new eye blossom only found in the biome means you have legit reasons to go into the pale garden even at night.
Though the problem is that you can just bring the heart outside the biome
@sboy2044 but you would still need to go to the biome to get the heart. At least once.
It would be nice to have the resin clumps naturally generate on pale oak logs so that it acts as decoy creaking eyes
Am I the only one who hates the word "Drop" for updates
Me too, it's not bad but far from good either
Becuase it isn't an update it's a drop drops are smaller
The thing that worries me is that they've been calling these "free game drops"
They might start wanting us to pay for Minecraft updates 🤮
@@RolynRoseOfficial >They might start wanting us to pay for Minecraft updates
What's fucked is there's an Alt-Timeline where you already HAVE for the Dungeons and Levers Expansion Pack.
Though in general it's probably because Bedrock Exists, which has Paid Game Drops (The DLC/Addon Packs)
Its very suspicious
As a nodded player, I can't help but image that when mods like Gregtech or IC2 get updated/ported to the newest version, the good 'ol rubber tree is going to be removed (as it's those mods' source of resin) and we will have to go through all this mess to get it.
6:08 the efficient golden apple
This update is literally a giant hollow knight reference: the Pale Garden looks like a mix of Queen's GARDENS and the White Palace that the PALE king resides in, and now they added stuff that visually resembles the infection and delicate flowers. I see you, Mojang
It's a long shot but imagine if putting resin on blocks could act like glue. Essentially creating a one-sided alike block. That could be massive if not a little op.
So... Honey Blocks?
Being able to place all the raw ores to get the 'ore' part of the texture like the resin would be so cool.
I love that the whole time hes trying to show off the creakings new stuff the ammount of holes that appear throughout the scene increase lol
6:13 Finally!!! I love orange, and having orange trim is now my permanent go to!
10:00 they’re not taking damage because the poison keeps you at 1hp. Maybe natural regeneration for the bees?
I love the flowers! Greate addition.
FINALLY something cool from these updates!
One other thing of note is that the flowers can be used to produce two colors of dye: Orange dye from the open flower, and grey dye from the closed!
im glad mojang added more orange to the pale garden, now the creaking will have a better time camouflaging with the environment
Those flowers make day night sensitive lighting super simple since they don't need sky access to send an update
6:10 "YOOOO BRO I JUST GOT AN ENCHANTED GOLDEN APPLE!! - no, wait, it's a Golden Apple that's enchanted"
Imagine making a blindness potion outta these new flowers. And using a fermented spider eye reverses the effects and grants you something like a brightness potion
could be another way of brewing Night Vision Potions?
Good they are using stuff they started making in Potato Update. Also it's really nice to see that cores are now replenishable. Now we only need to find a method go farm it in bigger amounts.
Love the resin clumps!
Okay, now THIS is epic.
Nice, seems pretty cool to farm the resin.
Hope they add some more functionality to resin, like making torches, or some sort of sticky block
Im just glad they listened and implemented something that actually encouraged you to interact with the new biome
I just think maybe they just adjust how spawns work inside it because the creep factor kinda goes away when literal creepers are blowing up in your face every 10 seconds
Agree, I think Skeletons, Zombies, Spiders, and Endermen should be the only mobs that spawn in the biome (besides the Creaking obviously)
The resin clumps look fantastic. Such a nice feature and I agree we need more colors.
The blocks and bricks... not so much. The bricks especially look like a texture from an old minecraft mod, and I mean that in the worst way possible. But oh well. We did get a big win with the new wood.
Honestly, yeah. The Bricks i can see as fine, but... the Chiseled Bricks really do kinda suck.
