Thank you Jon. The quality of your instruction is consistently excellent. This is a great interpretation of an old classic, with lots of creative suggestions packed in. Many thanks.
I can't make out the last lick; the way you hold your hands makes it real difficult to figure out what you are fretting! I thought it was an Am pentatonic lick but shouldn't it be an Em penatotonic lick for the last measure?
Love the old blues classics can you send some more in this genre as well as some slide guitar lessons…never see any slide lessons much and would love to learn more about the open tunings etc that come with the slide blues delta styles🎸🎶
Very nice lesson. I'm enjoying it a lot, but the last little riff at the end, on the lower notes, isn't very clear. It's hard to see exactly which strings and frets you're hitting. Would have been great if you had named them as you did for most of the other positions.
Right guitar riff in the original recording key of A, not like the live versions in G with guitars playing the harp riff instead of the original guitar riff. However, it's a 16 bar blues, not a 12 bar, in its original form.
Hey Greg! Yes I have a 6+ hour course on that + the CAGED system. If you join my email list I I will email you when it's open. It's going to open again in the fall.

John, do you have video showing how to use your fretboard guide?

Muddy appeared to play this tune with a capo on the third fret. Am I mistaken?
Классно играет! Super!
Blue light boogie
Awesome
Thanks! Glad to help!
Please teach with tab otherwise lots of confusion.
Jon can please teach the solo you did for the intro
Thanks,Jon! Great lesson! Can you do a lesson on Albert "The Ice man" Collins?
thank you
Are the tabs still available on your website?
MERCI +++++
I can't seem to find this video in your "Vault" did you remove it?
I enjoy the video but it would help to allow tuning to you at the beginning as Hendrix is usually a half step down.
Glad you liked it. This is to play along with the Muddy Waters version so standard tuning on this one.
Thanks for simplifying. India
Glad to help! Keep up the great progress.
please do solo lesson
Is there a tab for this in the vault?
I picked this up: you're using down picks to play the pick up, and it's picked up by the pickups in the guitar 😅
👏👏👏
Actually original version played live in G major
Surely this is a 16 bar blues
Ok lesson. Most lessons are teases. You play the leads but hardly ever teach the leads.
Watching from Ireland
Great lesson
