That is very cool that someone sent stuff to review. I don't collect Diaclones so it's something new to learn about and if Paik would have bought that for himself it would probably have ended up in a closet and we wouldn't have gotten a review until next year......😅
I have some of them. They are great, but expensive! I'm getting the Robot Base (kind of the Metroplex of the Diaclones). Loaded with gimmicks and features. I don't "play" with my figures so I usually pose them and leave them in display, but with these Diaclones you have a lot of ways to combine, transform, etc to create different dioramas. It's an awesome line.
Diaclone Reboot is such a slippery slope because all sets are compatible with each other in weird ways, so once you start collecting them you realize you want the new sets that are coming out JUST for the neat parts you can get out of them even if you don't want what the whole set combines INTO. And it's worth it to get multiples of the various sets, since every unit is canonically an army builder. ...But since each version of each set is effectively a single limited edition run, you end up having to preorder everything you even vaguely sort of think you might possibly want because the prices on most of them start going up ridiculously as soon as they're released. There are a few sets from early on, before I started collecting this series, that I've basically given up ever trying to get because the prices on some of them have doubled or tripled (if not more).
Yeah I took a look at some like the Diabattles and I’m like nah I’m good. Although I heard some of the KOs are good but even those seem to be hard to find now.
Very nice! Speaking of bad decisions, yeahh i got the Lego lion knights castle AND the mario 64 question block. Even at the discounts my wallet is screaming😢
