Thank you Mick Lynch for fighting with grace, poise and eloquence not just on behalf of RMT workers but for all us down-trodden public sector staff who are sadly having to resort to industrial action. Stay resolute and strong please.
Ordinary working people do not earn 50k plus. Ordinary working people will not be getting to work due to train strikes. How is Mick supporting them. A train has one maybe two train staff and hundreds of ordinary working passengers. Mick is not supporting the majority of working people.
@@WillScott73 For your info most well paid DRIVERS are not even in the union. Mick is fighting for the low paid workers the RR has in abundance. You can look up how many employees there are you know.
@@vivalaleta whatever. You're deliberately missing the point that the general public, the ordinary worker, will be impacted, so therefore Mick doesn't actually give a stuff about the ordinary worker. He's just a leftie intent on causing political trouble. His members must be thick to not realise that.
@Padraig Joseph because he's bright enough, and tough enough, to cut through all the sh*t the right wing media try and spin at him. Giving a voice to low paid workers. Some of those politicians seems educated but there's not much political skill, morality, honesty, concern for fair pay and conditions. He is like a God.
People complain that the BBC is biased. Of course it is. All media organisations are. Did mick lynch have plenty of time to put his views across?? Did the interviewer ask difficult questions? Yes and yes.
Well done Mick. I hope the BBC improves the quality of its journalism. Radio 4 has a lot of great content but often pushes biased right-wing narratives that harm working people.
@Andrew Today's view of "left" is inarguably the Torie speaking points of 1950. Thatcher began the tearing down of the structure that made Tories look reasonable. Labour are 99% do nothing fakers and Tories are bordering on Fascism. Your BBC and our PBS have realized they can make big money joining the main media in supporting our global corptocracy. How old are you? You seem to have no idea of how things are NOW.
@Andrew It's what the left wing do. Can't formulate a proper argument so stick their fingers in their ears, say la la la, and then accuse anyone who doesn't agree with them of being right wing, as though it's an insult.
@Andrew The BBC was created to push the agenda of and protect the British establishment. The idea that it is now or has ever been impartial is preposterous.
If only the U.S. had a national labor leader as articulate, direct and fearless as this labor leader.... What's shocking about the interview (to a Yank) is that the BBC is even more biased against labour -- and shameless about it -- than much of American commercial media, which would at least pretend to sympathize (a little) with the strikers. Except, of course, the Rupert Murdoch networks and publications....
He did not do well here. Pompously combative, attacking the meta while refusing to answer any pointed questions. Usually like the guy but this was a really poor showing.
@@Booglarizemebaby Yea. I get it. Even the best speakers are incapable of giving 100% every single time. Mishal Husain asked a perfectly reasonable question. All Mick Lynch did was talk over her and avoid the question. Very bad behaviour. I have my serious doubts as to the validity of this man's argument.
I've listened to the interview and I disagree with your summary. He made a lot of good points and the 'talking over her' was first prompted by MH expressing herself poorly on the subject of a majority decision. His analysis of the lack of impartiality in MSM is spot on.
Have you ever heard Mishal ask a Tory MP how much workers have lost due to Govt pay freezes or pay that doesn't keep up with inflation, and keep on and on for a figure?
No she didn't, she really is just regurgitating the bile from the Sun and the Daily Heil. BBC "News" is now utterly enthralled to the most right wing government this country has ever seen.
Very bad behaviour? What planet are you on? The BBC are not impartial and she is a dreadful interviewer. No doubt you’re a Tory boy and voted for brexit 😂

Fabulous job Mick. You are a star 🌟

@Play Google There's around 20,000 in the RMT.
@@WillScott73 Many of the RMT workers are the working poor. Your Xmas is lesser than the union getting justice. Lynch isn't fighting for himself.
Well said mick . The radio host is on £275,000 a year . Just let that sink in . The bbc never grill the government
Well done Mick - call them out for what they’re doing 👍
My admiration just soared for this gentleman.

Mick is doing a fantastic job. Tax profits not pay cuts for essential workers.
God bless you Mick and all the strikers! Constant disrespect from BBC hacks and their ilk. Glad we have unions like RMT fighting for our class!
Power to the people. Shut it down.
Amazing, what a man that Mick Lynch eh !!!
Go on mick lynch, another one destroyed
Thanks for calling out the BBC and saying it how it is.
Such an articulate and reasonable man
They said there were no more heroes anymore. Not true Mick lynch proves that.
Love him..but he needs to ask these reporters if they r happy to take a 20% paycut,,,ask MPs the same!!!!
63% is smaller than 91% whatever way you cut it Mick. A deal is not far away.
Mick is huge. Ask Zeinab Badawi

Poor Mick , doesn’t know his place and doesn’t touch his forelock , therefore he’s castigated as a militant .
Funny how he doesn't like being interrupted yet he does it more than her!
So rude! She just cut him off! But then BBC salaries are fairly generous...
Perfectly right, there is a cost of living crisis, the rational thing to do is to fight for a pay rise. Antagonism must be escalated!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no wonder they're hiding behind the unions lol
