Questions to IR
1. What about the tracks? These will be basically a MEMU system, not a suburban system. So, how sure is IR about running too many Vande Bharat (metro) with timing priorities? Just think that the city metro system is not shunted on loop lines and stations.
2. What do you think about ensuring the fare collection?
3. Whether the lower middle class would be capable of buying tickets?
4. What about the maintenance sheds/depots?

Bhubaneswar Puri is not a viable route as the distance is so small that people simply drive.
Patna-Gaya can be viable if the fare is affordable (within ₹100-150 for 100km). This route is very crowded throughout the day. But I don't know how they are gonna check the tickets.
Good list, and it need to be extended. Vande Bharat is a premium service which will earn money to make more and better trains for people who can't afford it. Eventually in a few years more Amrit bharat trains will take over. Please don't get into making affordable for poor people, railways don't even check tickets strictly. If they do, a lot of our citizens would be hampered and unhappy. People who can afford better service will inturn pay for passenger trains.

Flying Ranee had a great idea, maybe it's not for locals, but it is great, the Double Decker Non AC Coach.
i saw a instagram video on mumbai local which was showing rush hour how the people were fighting like pigs to get into the coach and the comments were just filled with racist comments. Mumbai locals and the way people have to travel in them is shameful. Cant have viksit bharat with people travelling like that. Emu coaches should be replaced by vande metro as soon as possible and the frquency should be increased to avoid such crowding.
Should make the Vande metro interior capable of handling more capacity along with more doors, rather than trying to fit in premium seating if it is to replace locals. The only advantage it has over locals as of now is automated doors, which stop people from hanging from the sides of the train.

Well, the only way to stop overcrowding of Mumbai local trains is for the MNCs to shift their head offices and branch offices to the suburbs. Most of the Mumbai local train commuters come from suburbs, so if their workplaces are not that far, then they wouldn't feel the need to commute in locals.

In West Bengal , Howrah - Asansol via Burdwan or Sealdah - Asansol via Dankuni , Burdwan has the high possibility to get a Vande Metro . The other possible routes are Howrah - Azimganj via Bandel , Katwa ; Sealdah - Lalgola via Ranaghat , Krishnanagar ; Sealdah - Azimganj via Ranaghat , Krishnanagar , Murshidabad ; Howrah - Bankura via Masagram ( May Be ) , Howrah - Tata via KGP etc ...
I think you were trying to say _Kolkata - Asansol via Dankuni_ because Sealdah is not connected to Dankuni there is Hooghly river in between.

There is Vivekananda Setu aka Bally Bridge that connects both Sealdah ( SDAH ) and Kolkata Chitpur ( KOAA ) with Burdwan ( BWN ) and Kharagpur ( KGP ) via Dankuni Junction . The all premium trains that originated from SDAH , all of them run via Dum Dum Junction and Dankuni Junction link .
There is another bridge that connects SDAH and BWN via Naihati and Bandel , which is Sampriti Setu aka Jubilee Bridge . The mail trains run via this route .

@@spilltea4241 Yes , that's my point . He said Kolkata - Asansol via Dankuni but he he also said there is no bridge in Hooghly River . Where as Kolkata is situated on the eastern side of Hooghly River and both Asansol and Dankuni is in the western side .
People use Local city trains not for comfort but for cheap fairs and fast connectivity. That's why Metro trains are used in cities.
RCF Vande Metro has 4 doors. I think the photos of the ICF version had 6 or 8 doors! Not sure. Maybe there are different configurations being planned.
The length of coaches in Vande Metro is also different to the Local trains.

Despite Mumbaikars contributing so much to the economy of Mumbai as well as contributing to the state and national economy we are treated as third class citizens. Mumbai and its people don't deserve this we want good metro connections and projects like RRTS. Travelling through Mumbai local is traumatic to say the least, trains are always late, overcrowded and there isn't a better option as AC locals have very less frequency. Local Authorities should have taken these issues into account and should have worked on it asap, but here we are. it's so unfortunate to see.
Lol have you heard about a city called Bangalore ? A city which pays almost same amount of tax, has almost similar GDP , more per capita income, yet has the most pathetic infrastructure among all Indian cities, but for its metro with limited connectivity , the city has an absolutely chaotic and unreliable transport system, Silk Board traffic is slow so,that a person can take a flight to Mumbai and you will get stuck in traffic jams at Silk Board and other places along Outer Ring Road . Stop complaining, Mumbai gets the best infrastructure among all Indian cities other than our capital city New Delhi.

Mumbai locals have design flaw, their seats are arranged in 3×3 pattern which reduces the standing capacity by huge. BECUASE of this most of the people stand at gates risking their life.
All the metro rakes have seats along the coach walls, which allows more people to stand.

Vande Bharat Metro is just RRTS, similar to one under construction in NCR. I hope a dedicated track and station are built for these trains rather than the existing Indian railway system. Or at least stations should be isolated from Indian railways as they can't match Metro/RRTS like quality experience.

True. Trains are the most ecologically viable mode of transport especially for a long narrow strip of land. So many people from there work in Mumbai but they don’t have locals like it’s for people in Northern Konkan. Thane and Palghar districts who travel daily and rest of family can live peacefully in their villages.
People here don’t ask for anything. Nothing comes without asking. Even mother pays attention to a crying child first. Seems like they have aversion for any projects that come there.
Konkani people have a very well managed sustainable agri and horticulture traditions that keeps it lush. But as more people move out of agriculture leaving Konkan for other cities and countries it will depopulate and be declared as forest. Then only the most expensive and exclusive resorts will have permissions to conduct ‘sustainable tourism’.

The vande metro will run on long distance local trains in Mumbai chennai , Kolkata local. But this andhbhakt didn't say anything about Kolkata local chennai local.
What a lazy attempt in design. This train is no different from a Vande Bharat. Nowhere world class. Instead of focusing on track and signal infrastructure on a war footing, the railways instead focuses on coaches and stations. You don’t buy airplanes first and then build airports. You don’t build a car and then hope that a proper road will be built in 10 years..
