One of Piet Mondrians epic artwork were discovered to be hanging in the wrong angle. And they are going to let it hang, because off gravity. Dirty Loops will also be remembered in the future. That "hey buddy" at the end cracked me up LOL! I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!! I knew the chorus would make you happy. This and "Accidentally in Love" are my favorites off this album. I love what you said about the lack of busyness. I think its simplicity is why I love it so much. Regarding the lyrics: there's a Loopified commentary album on Spotify (and probably other platforms) where they break down the inspirations and meanings of each song. With this one, Aron said they were inspired by "Kill Bill" when they flew to Shanghai.

But then, it’s also the way all three of them play and sing….oh man, when Jonah comes in at that second verse, from 10,000 feet high… There’s also something to be said about the way Dirty Loops use contrast in their music writing, I feel. Those stripped down sections, contrasting with the chorus -Jonah’s high and low notes - everyone of them knows how to use contrast to keep us on the edge of our chairs. “More is more” might well be their motto :) but hey, they sure know how to use ‘less’ as well…. “Roller Coaster”, one of their covers from the same time (Lotta, correct me if I’m wrong 😉) is another mind bender 🔥 Then there is Jonah’s “Bad” and his “Coffee Break”, feat Richard Bona on bass 🔥🔥 ☺️🙏

I just love the horn section in that one and always sing along to those riffs at the top of my lungs. 😊 They seemingly did the videos for Loopified in batches, as there were several songs where the video had the same setup and they look the same, so you might actually be completely right about Jonah checking his phone, hahaha. On the other hand, in Sweden we take our coffee breaks really seriously (and I’m not even joking here), so maybe he’s just checking if it’s “fika” time yet. 😂

Haha, I knew you'd like this one. 😄It's from the Loopified album released in 2014, and this video used to be on their own channel, but was removed - along with a bunch of others - at some point. This is a slightly later re-upload by someone entirely unrelated to them. There are several of their removed videos floating around on other people's channels, and they don't seem to mind, which (and I am totally just speculating here, and have absolutely NO evidence of this whatsoever, so please do not quote me on this!) makes me think that maybe the removals had something to do with their contract with Verve ending, and was not entirely their own decision? A couple of the videos (like Ta Fête and Forever Young, iirc) were later re-uploaded on their own channel, but all (!) of their originals from Loopified, except Hit Me, are gone from their own channel. Sad and, if you ask me, a tad weird (which is why I tend to think it might not have been their own choice). Has anyone checked youtube through VPN to see what's there if you're in Japan? I'm wondering if there might be some exception there, as they're quite big there, and always release bonus material for Japan only, both on CD and streaming services.
Amazing band and song ofcourse but also a great reaction as always. Love your way of verbalizing thoughts and emotions that the music creates and your balance with commentary along the way as well as closing thoughts. How you manage to do that in one take, not taking notes and still remember so many things that was going on is kinda impressive I think!
