This is such a cool workflow. I just downloaded magicavoxel thinking it might be a good way to mock up buildings quickly, and your video is a perfect guide! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing thank you so much for this. While I'm very sad I cant see this game come to life, I really appreciate seeing all this work that might have never seen the light of day. Really is all so valuable for educating myself on the concept art process and building up my next body of work. Huge fan of what you guys do at fireball studio btw, I have no idea you were one of the founders, its definitely on my list of studios I hope to one day work with.
nice tutorial dude, I'm sorry to hear that the project got canceled, I've seen most of the concept art and 3D model that been post on Twitter/X today and it's awesome, the art team have a really talented and hardworking artist, hope you guys will get another great project ASAP
Welcome back! Shame about the project, the art I've seen looked super cool. Thanks for the tutorial, this might also be a good workflow for thumbnailing 3d environments without getting to caught up noodling with 3d tools
Florian, since i saw the project dragon concepts I was wondering if you were involved into it, and of course you were! So sorry about the cancellation, the work of every artist involved is amazing. Thanks for the tutorial, this can be really useful!
damn didnt know u also worked on this project I've seen some of Nicholas Kole's concept stuff and they are really awesome. such a shame they had to canceled this awesome project.
very exciting! i never knew of this program! can those environments be exported to another 3d program to “tidy” up and use in a game engine? all the art and 3d models i seen on twitter looked very exciting, sad it wasn’t able to be completed :(
