Makes me really appreciate Darksiders 3. This game is fun, but so thankful they got rid of all the wall jumping and timed escapes. They drive me up the wall (no pun intended).
i thought the wall jumping was one of the best things about the game. at least you didnt have to just walk averywetre but actaully think about where to go and do soemthing

I know this is old but crowfather is clearly meant to be Odin the All father. He had two crows that would go out and bring him secrets and he gave up one of his eyes for wisdom. Crowfather is important because he holds a LOT of the secrets of the world via his age and the amulet so chances are good you want to know something he knows it and maybe willing to share that knowledge with you for a price. Basically if the makers were the ones making the world the crowfather was the one listening to the secrets.
Actually in correct, after Death killed the Nephilim and and sealed there soul in the amulet, The Crowfather accepted amulet in exchange for all the Secrets they contained. Listen to what he says at the beginning of the game.
I assumed they were called "hosts" because the skeletons are hosts for the souls that the litches summon. They glow green unlike the normal skeletons because they're engulfed with souls.

crowfather is reminiscent of odin from norse mythology in that he was ruler and a keeper of secret or dangeerous knowledge a physical repository of all that knowledge deemed too dangerous to be placed in the hands of others and yet equally dangerous to forget outright. hope that helps

On my second play through since the game came out, and I pulled up your video to make sure I wasn't tripping when only the wailing host froze at 1/4 health remaining. The rest of the game graphics are trucking along, but he himself is frozen and has no health lol guess I get to do this one again 😅
Not to argue with anyone, but it says at the very beginning that Crowfather is the keeper of secrets and he took the amulet as part of the deal for keeping it's secrets. I however don't know why or how he knew of the keys, unless he learned it in secret to keep a secret.
The amulet does not give the crowfather the secrets. The Amulet IS Death's secret. The Crowfather is the keeper of all secrets and with it, almost all knowledge, ether in physical form or in mental form. He is also a powerful magic user as we have seen. Only the Crowfather would know where the halves of the Key are kept. As they would be kept in secret. See?
the host is a reference (i think) to the demon army which are a host or a legion... amd the boss in the city of dead has like all the human souls in him and he summons host so i would guess he is a legion therefore the host
A little tip for those who havent fight against those 2 poisonous.... "things": I used Achnida's Fangs. Thanks to special ability (some kind of vampiric attack) didnt lose any health at all... Just hit all the time with the fangs and you'll be fine (thumbs up)
Rodo Camilo man, I went in to fight the Wailing host and only had 1 life vial left. I died twice trying to figure out how to get that vial to last me the whole fight. Then I saw your comment and just used those that weapon on the skeleton things and it made the fight a joke. Thanks man.
You've probably figured this out by the time you see this, but anyway. They are called "The Host" because they are a random set of bones set together to hold a random soul, so probably none of the bones nor the soul were linked together when they were alive I could be wrong though..

To anybody else who discovered that they cannot fast travel anymore after receiving Soul splitter, then they have been told by google that fast travel would be available again after progressing a few rooms into the City of the dead, but it didn't become available a few rooms in so they ended up finishing the whole City, and yet fast travel was blocked still after talking to Crowfather at the end of it: close the game, restart Steam. Fast travel works again after restarting not just the game but Steam as well. Something glitches in it when running Darksiders 2 for hours on end.
28:50 When I got him down to half health her locked up on me. I used my Omega blades projectile to deplete his health to nothing. Still froze and nothing happened. Went out to talk to the Crowdather, came back to fight this thing again. Same thing happened. 26:28 Right here. You have to make sure you push the B button next to his head. If you just continue to hit his hands til he’s at 50% health, it’ll end up soft locking the game.
The door that unlocks at 14:20 took me forever on the Deathinitive edition for PS4 because I thought the corruption blocking the switch with runes was the maneuver for the movable platform 🤣🤣🤣🤣

lol i think my arena glitched, i cud go back and hug the door, where it's suppose to be fenced off, anyways yah i just watched its attacks for 3min, got a good idea of how to dodge, especially that close range sweep followed by a long range sweep, got hit 3-4 times but killed it easily, the skeletons it summoned were free health :)
(2) Although, the crowfather wanting the amulet, because he is already the knowledgeable, omniscient keeper of secrets, also makes sense. Unless you can convince me, i don't really see how we can know for sure.

Doing the moving puzzle between 3-4mins in with a broken controller was hell... Not as bad and spending 20 mins fixing the L button to fast travel out of the last place 😅

I was unable to see the lever on the column due it being poorly Textured and due to having no button prompt were I ever to pass by the lever so got super confused for a moment.
That chest he missed is only in Deathinitive Edition. Plus you don't need to smash everything in the room, there's a glitch where, if you stand in front of where it should be, you'll get a prompt to open the chest.

Hey Kuddlesnot I have a problem with missing lever to open the gate and no corruption on the platform/elevator lever so nothing to blow up to activate it as you are doing at 21:11. There is a post on the forums about it... it seems I'm not the only one getting this... yet no resolve. Any ideas? I tried reloading, going to the forge lands and coming back... same thing every time.
I can't kill the boss! I lower it's hp at 25% then it jumps back at 75% like 10 times in a row... so annoying... any clue? What should I press when the Red circle appears above it's head? I'm on PC.

You did miss a chest at 18:45. A hidden chest by destroying everything in the area.
You don't have to destroy everything, just stand infront of the "hidden" chest, then open it, you don't have to see it
That hidden chest is in the Deathinitive edition. I don't know if it's in the normal version.

make sure death is not moving, and then press the drop button/key. if you are moving when you drop, it doesnt seem to work right.
your wailing serpent can hurt you. I was standing opening chest, and he hit me for 900 3 hits, and knocked me off edge.

I loved the battle with the three Lich's. The screen was absolutely *packed* with enemies. It was fun getting combos into the 4-500 range. XD

You only die to the scar part in nightmare mode. This sequence just teleports you back.

on the boss fight use acidna's fangs as secondary weapon you will not need to use health potions.

Same, it made me stop playing 3 years ago I think, now I picked up the game again and I'm almost there and for some reason I can't enter the city....so I'm looking to see if i've done anything wrong, but just like everytime I did things in the wrong order and I glitched the game

those green dudes only hit 9 on me cuz my resistence is sooo friking huge, so i had no trouble killing them. but those stalkers took waay longer to fight
Hey Kuddlesnot I have a problem with missing lever to open the gate and no corruption on the platform/elevator lever so nothing to blow up to activate it as you are doing at 21:11.
There is a post on the forums about it... it seems I'm not the only one getting this... yet no resolve.

I tried reloading, going to the forge lands and coming back... same thing every time.
I can't kill the boss! I lower it's hp at 25% then it jumps back at 75% like 10 times in a row... so annoying... any clue? What should I press when the Red circle appears above it's head? I'm on PC.

The guys with the big shields and the lichs can be taken down easier with the armblades by holding down the triangle in playstation or y for xbox
