For the people struggling with this start with 1-3 mobs and just learn to control them then start to add more mobs to your pulls its much more forgiving if you make a mostake and let them get close enough to melee distance. Thats what worked well for me
@KallTorak Yo, Mara booster here. Heard u say 12min, this is a common misconception. I'm 99% sure this is incorrect, the optimal time is 15min per instance run. The lockout for each instance ID only comes into play after ur 1st instance gets reset and not whilst running ur curent one. This means that if u were to run 12min x 5, u would've run 5 in 60min sure, but u'll be left with a 12 min lockout before u can enter the 6th. Because u ran 4 in in 48min, which means ur wasting 12min hence the lockout ur left with. Hope this makes sense, maybe a bit convoluted. Let me know and I'll try explain further. Kind Regards
It would be interesting to do a level 40 version of this. What would be your spec, gear prio, and rotation? You could obviously do much bigger pulls. The boost meta is still quite good (because unlike HC there is no huge xp penalty for boosting in SoD). Can you do the entire place? Three pulls, 90 ish mobs is about 8-9k xp for boosties in the 15-20 range. Four boosties, 3g per, 5 an hour is 60g per hours... worthwhile in P2 or is there better? If you can boost Cath (much harder!) then it's surely more gold but this is probably easier to get clients to run?
worth mentioning that the Minor Recombobulator trinket restores 150-250 hp and mana, you can basically guarentee a clean kill phase every 5 minutes with one, 10 charges for about 60s on my server

Yup, I prio int and spell damage for sure. It also depends on your raid, if your raid has bad dps it makes the fights longer. The longer the fight the worse it is on arcane.
Heya bro! First off love your videos! Watching one of your initial Living bomb videos is what made me roll my mage alt, and eventually make it my main haha! It took me a long time to get it down, I was having the same problem forever. It really just comes down to two things. Using the right corner to get them to clump, and nailing the juggle portion. You gotta step off the left wall before any of the mobs touch the left wall. If they get all the way to the left wall thats usually when they desync. If you ever start losing control of the mobs, run to the right corner to get them to train over there. Using the right wall is usually how i control them and flip back and forth between left and right till they are clumped again. Anytime u start to lose control of the clump try dancing back and forth between the two corners. Its really hard tho and I spent around 10 hours trying to get it down.

I get the pulls but the mobs lag out and sometimes half will turn around and the other half will just walk at me take a swing then turn around. Also my gnome isnt always going onto the curb right away sometimes get ontop of it instantly most the time gets on its side instantly and other times I have to run at it for a second or two for it to even register im on the side of the curb. Very confusing and causing me to lose half my pulls.
When you consider the fact that dungeons don't have to worry about overpopulation, dungeon farms tend to be preferred at the start of the new phase. Don't have to compete for tags
@@KallTorak Fair enough, wonder if it would be just as good with two mages, because doing it solo yeah IDK, seems super aids and even after 2 hours I still found it almost impossible, ones that reached the left sometimes just wouldn't reset after wall hopping, alot to learn solo. it didn't feel challenging as much as rhythm-matching the mobs which i have none of.
@@anima8720 yeah I was talking about that with my friend. Could be a very good duo farm for sure. When I was boosting my lock friend he helped on some pulls and it made a huge difference in his personal XP gain
@@KallTorak Damn, yeah, could pull a bit better and clear faster. Also wonder if full fire talent spec might be good with fire crit mana refund and the flamestrike buff + fire bleed.
Ended up trying it out and i didnt like it. Living bomb crits for ignite were causing certain mobs to run away too early. I also dont think living bomb was refunding any mana at all. Was only refunding mana from flamestrike, and any time a mob resisted a nova made it impossible to strike. Feel like I was getting a lot more value out of clear casting. @@anima8720
this is so difficult, also on top of that you forgot to mention that if you accidentally hit the portal behind your pull is reset, seems like it would be worth mentioning?
I will add you explain it very well, but this is too RNG and high risk to be repeatable, if you get the point of flawlessly doing every pull let me know, seems like there should be a better way to do this
You're telling me you had no idea prior to this that if you walk out of the dungeon the pull is reset? Do you have a sticky note on your monitor reminding you to breathe or what?

Haha takes a special kind of crazy to enjoy this kind of farm. Mages have brain damage, what can I say xD I have fun doing this kind of stuff though. Not about the gold for me, its about the challenge and this was a fun one!

Very hard, found it very helpful to just pull one mob and see how it moves for like 2min
yeah ngl, found it pretty hard to find the correct spot on the ledge while strafing so zoomed in haha

Yup, I prio int and spell damage for sure. It also depends on your raid, if your raid has bad dps it makes the fights longer. The longer the fight the worse it is on arcane.
starting to do this with no ice armor helps a lot actually to not have it in case 1 atack\s you

just to random and inconsistent a method to farm even while juggling sometimes the mob just goes straight to the left wall instead of the right wall
