If you strop your knife and it don't get sharp what do you do I'm at a loss❓❓❓and still at beganer stage I inherited my dad's tools and some they don't make anyone any help will be very appreciated 👍👍 thanks
The strop is polishing. You can use 1000 grit sandpaper and give it some work. Make sure though your angle is the same as the blade is currently. You don’t want to reshape the angle. Keep the angle the same and don’t roll up at the end.
Bravo Denny I am impressed ! you teaching beginner tooling is kind of like an F16 pilot slowing down to teach a student to fly a Cessna. I would trade labor a SLC just to sit with you and learn
Thank you for the updated series!
No worries!
Thank you for this video! Learning so much. ❤️
👍👍
Denny is awesome!
Thank you!!!!!
Your video are great, just a question. Could you use anti slip tape on the back of your leather.
You can, but a dead weight might help as well to hold it in place.
Same as with pretty much any tool. Chisels, plane blades, etc....need to be flattened, sharpened and polished.
i found my wing divider at a flee market for 1.50 and its antique and has the tool co. on it

A maul or a mallet and what weight to start with
Denny has forgotten more about tooling than most of us will ever know
