My First Trip on a Great Northern Class 717 Preview Train

Two years ago to the day, on 22nd February 2019, I took a trip on Great Northern's class 717 preview train from Moorgate to Gordon Hill. At the time of recording, these trains were brand new, being brought in to replace the aging class 313s. I hope you enjoy this video, in which I talk over some of the features of the train, as well as showing the journey itself.

Yeah, I will miss the 313s. If I'd thought about it I would have filmed some of them as well to do a proper comparison, but I was focusing on the 'new and exciting' train rather than the 'old, standard' train, if you get what I mean. I hadn't planned for the idea that one day they would be gone lol!

I haven't been on the Class 717 but I have been on the Thameslink Class 700.
