Also to add: the other side of the tunnel leads to a major road that connects to some bus routes and to some shops and supermarkets. So definitely useful to have within easy access of the station.
Whilst the late first train was nice from a sleep point of view, its also somewhat disappointing that there isnt an earlier first service. Still good to get the station open again though and as a local it was pretty fun to see the hussle and bussle around the station on the day!
Yep, and the last train of the night is at about 8:30pm or something like that which is pretty pathetic tbh The good news is that as long as the infrastructure is there, the timetable can always be amended in the future!

Have some great memories of watching trains at Bristol. Lovely video and thanks for sharing!
Yes finally
It’s so cool seeing all these people come to a station just 7 minutes’ drive from me lmao! Hoping to visit soon :)
Michael thanks for giving Tim and the others from Bristol Rail group a chance for a comment.
I happen to believe quite strongly in their cause so giving them a bit of publicity here was the least I could do!
Your welcome

Awesome! I remember when you said about reading Riku's comments and they were just like "Michael C" sounding like they were in disbelief lol

Perch points Michael her don't want you waiting on the platform too long
Try doing that gap with a pram, the staff where not happy when I requested assistance to get on and off the train. 6foot3 male
Yep it's not good enough, we in the railway world need to do better!
Sadly I did not come for the station opening, But it's a really nice station (I prefer it over Portway Park & Ride)
Yeah definitely more to like at this station than there was at Portway (which was literally just a single platform!)
@@MikeWillSee Although I do like the view from Portway of the M5.
