Thank you for the memories I started slope soaring in 79 and have many fond memories of some of the best flights and the camaraderie of the flying buddies. One of the planes I had was a Paragon I put spoilers on it and flew into a boomer cracked the wing a bit on launch but noticed it rising at a fast rate and told my buddy Don to put me on the clock it specked out and flew around for an hour and popped the spoilers and LSF level 4 thermal of one hour. We had a slope out by Acton California that was great so I loaded the Paragon with c cells and got my 4 hour LSF slope all within a week or so. I almost got the level but never did the cross country because I moved. I've done the walk of shame many times I was flying the Paragon again at Mystery Mesa where they filmed the truck going off the cliff in the movie Duel and lost down the cliff and had climb down 20 feet or so to get it. I'm too old now to do sloping and I do miss it but watching your channel brings back great memories Thanks
Even though there was only four of you, it was great seeing a number of old school slopers in the sky. What was the low wing glider near the beginning?
@@A470RCSoaring Ah, I thought it looked familiar and should have realised as I've just had a kit delivered for one recently (along with a Thing) from Nick of NJR Modelling. Looked nice in the sky👍
Other than the heat, it looked like great conditions to be out flying. Curious what is the yellow glider at 1:55? Design looks familiar, but not remembering.
