I’m sorry but you’re wrong . The costume you refer to as “classic” is not Deadpool’s original costume. That costume is actually from the 2004 cable and Deadpool series and his chest piece is a teleporter he used back then. His original costume is very similar to the one he has now with no chest piece
Haven’t played the game, but it’s probably down to the fact that it’s so dialogue-heavy, and they didn’t want to account for costume variations for all the various cutscenes? Some games just ignore the costume change, and others like TLOU remastered will present the cutscene as normal even if the new outfit contradicts the scene. In this case they did neither and just prevented you from having an alternate costume during the story.
Bang on what I figured. With such action and obscure movement based all the cutscenes are, it would likely have been a headache. Instead they only had to bother with movesets, etc.
