Amazing review and top notch editing! You nailed it - it's amazing but was sadly left in the dust. I love how distinct the turtles are with their specials. Again, fantastic review!
Not so hidden for me. Everyone in my childhood played this game (thanks to China bootleg copies and famiclones). Great game. Still my favorite TMNT game.
@@InfiniteComboReviews btw this game has copy protection. If you will change (c) tile in the rom, which chinese bootleggers always done, all enemies will get 2x health, and shredder mid game will be unbeatable.
While I definitely prefer the 16-bit Turtles beat em ups, I always thought that this game looked like a lot of fun in it's own right. I'll have to pick this one up, along with the NES port of the arcade game one of these days. I recently was playing through the first NES game and had a blast with it too
I used to think that too, but after playing them all again for these videos, I can safely say that TMNT 3 is slightly better than 4. Also I am really, really surprised you're enjoying TMNT 1.
I agree. I love this game. So many bosses, so many foot soldiers. My cousin and I played this so many times together. I remember when we beat it for the first time. Amazing game. Can't wait for the cowabunga collection
I'm pleased to say that you no longer have to either find the old NES cart or emulate it (I mean unless you don't have any of the modern gen consoles) because TMNT Cowabunga Collection is coming with not only this game but alot of the others classic TMNT games best Year to be a Turtles Fan 🔥
SpammerD with another great release! The editing techniques are on full display! It's too bad that this was a lesser known title that was almost hidden due to the success of TMNT II
for me, this game, SNES turtles in time and the classic arcade game were the tops when it came to turtles beat'em up. (i'd add shredder's revenge to that but i'm talking about classics here). TMP was a game i rented the most from blockbuster for the NES and it was so damn hard but so damn fun.
Definitely an improvement over its predecessor. Close enough in a lot of ways where I waited for the price to drop to $20 before buying it. Much better gameplay and level design. Would have been cool if it was a 16-bit Turbo Grafx 16 CD game since we never got Ninja Turtles on that system.
Yeah, It's hard for me to decide if I like TMNT 3 or 4 best and I flip flop a lot. It would have been awesome to see a 16bit version of this game, though being on the Turbo Grafx could have made it even more obscure.
Never got to play this growing up as it wasn't released here, but I always thought it was the same as TMNT 2 with new levels. Didn't realise there was such a difference in this one, will have to give this a go now and see what I was missing out on. Solid editing as always dude!
This is easily my favorite beat em up without RPG elements on the NES (I prefer River City Ransom to it) One of the benefits of not getting an SNES until the end of 93 was getting this. Edit: Fortunately the awesomeness of the Cowabunga collection means getting this is ow very easy. Hopefully more franchises will get similar collections soon.
@@InfiniteComboReviews My first owned game besides the pack in Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt combo was one of the Sesame Steer Edutainment minigame collections. The games some of my parents got them for Christmas the year they got me my NES were more memorable though. That's why I have a soft spot for Fester's Quest.
@@roguerifter9724 Ah. See I remember, vaguely, just getting my NES mid year. I don't think it was a special occasion, but regardless it came packed in with Mario Bros 3, but before I opened the system my Grandpa took me out to buy any game I wanted and I chose TMNT 3, so when the NES was opened, plugged in, ect, the first game in the system was TMNT 3.
@@InfiniteComboReviews Michelangelo's handspring kick is my favourite since it's both very flashy and a very unique looking move. I haven't seen moves quite like it in other games that I have played.
One game no one ever talks about is the TMNT: The Manhattan Missions for PC. For being a DOS game, it's really good. Should've been included in the Cowabunga Collection, which makes that an incomplete collection, imo.
Lol. I actually mention Manhattan Missions being one of the only classic TMNT games left out of the Cowabunga Collection in my review of it. Don't worry. I have played Manhattan Missions once and its absolutely going to get covered, probably this year.
Another great review man, fresh perspective on a great game! Thanks for all your hard work! You’ve got a really unique style, more people need to see your stuff. Wake up, RUclips algorithm!

Thanks Ronman!
Loved this game growing up and it is brutally hard in later levels.
Yeah, playing solo gave me some trouble at the end but it's not too rough co-op.

Yeah, this game was the GOAT back in the NES era. Loved playing with my friends. Cowabunga collection is going to kick shell!
Turtles III rules! Definitely the best beat-em up on the NES and I agree, better than Turtles in Time :)
Shell Yeah!

Shell yeah! Between the Cowabunga collection and Shedder's Revenge TMNT fans are eating well this year!
Oh yeah,
Both Arcade Games
All 3 NES games
All 3 Gameboy games
All 3 tournament fighter games
Turtles in Time
The Hyperstone Heist
13 classics.

I fully agree. TMNT 3 was actually my first NES game as a kid. Possibly my first game, but I don't know if I had a NES or GB first.
If tmnt 3 had the 16 bit graphic treatment i would definitely agree on it being the best.
I can understand that reasoning.

This didn't get an EU release? That's a shame! Definitely emulate it.
Is just another one to add to the list of games the EU got shafted on for the NES/SNES.
Y'all know why I'm here get your Cowabunga on
Cowabunga!!!
Well , I disagree that it’s superior to turtles 4 - I do agree it is the best on the NES
Honestly, its really hard to choose for me. It always feels like I think the last one I played is better.
I agree that it is better than tmnt turtles in time BUT wish tmnt 3 had tmnt graphics
That's fair, but it's still looks great for its time.
I wonder why they didn’t release TMP on SNES.
Probably just when they started development. Probably would have been to expensive and time consuming to pivot at that point.

This was definitely my favorite
I jump back and forth between this and Turtles in Time.
I think TMNT3 is the best turtles game of ALL time.
Its the most nostalgic for me without a doubt. It might have been my first game ever (that or Kirby on the GB, I was too young to remember)

I love using the characters specials in this game, especially Michelangelo’s handspring kick.
