My biggest problem with surtur has always been that you have a deck built around a card that you only draw on curve half the time. And playing him after T4 or T5 instead of your big guys seems like a terrible play.
I'm honestly surprised they haven't reverted Ms Marvel back to her original ability, because the power creep since her nerf has made the +5 bonus (as long as there are 2 cards in the lane) is almost nothing. I'd love to see her get her original ability back at +4 rather than have the lanes require specific Costs.
Same with Elsa going back to +3. Galacta might only activate once but its much easier to get her power going where with Elsa you have to fill a location which can put you in a bad position as well.

I got 2000 collectors tokens from my spotlight, which gave me enough to get Ares. I already love the surtur deck and this feels like a great include for me
Lucky you people who have all cards aren’t so lucky I’ve wasted so many keys with no back up I’m bout to leave snap already. Also matchmaking is so blatant with mirror decks and straight up counter decks.
I know this is a radical idea, but how about swapping Nico for Quicksilver. Then you are guaranteed to have a 1 for cull, and it is a 1 drop guaranteed to not be in deck when you play Ares, lowering your chance of not getting the buff.
I just hope in a future patch they give us back skaar at 6/11. The 6/11 stats line is not explored enough and it would be nice to get more 11 power cards with Eson coming, maybe a 6/11 sasquatch??
Gotta disagree with Alex about Toxin. That is one of my favorite cards in the game, i use it in all sorts of decks outside of traditional bounce, definitely worth picking up in my opinion. Its been a boon in my Vicky hand deck all month, crushes it in the regular bounce and small soldiers build. Adds value to a lot of other stuff.
In March the Celestials are coming and it could help Ares. For me Ares is fun but other people are not happy with it. As Alex said in the past wait till Monday to see what comes out. I was thinking Hela may be to replace Black Cat. I was wondering since Rocks and Hawks could Cozy old school deck from a year ago come back.
I think it's kind of like the initial reception of Red Hulk. He's a card that has a pretty good ceiling for power but is kind of boring in terms of what they bring to the game. Cards that simply bring more power are usually met with a pretty neutral reception. Doesn't mean they're bad, they just aren't as exciting.
At the same time would you want a Series 5 card to be comparable to a card you get for free very early on? Not saying that Drax doesn't deserve a form of buff (or for that matter most Guardians) but I think more people would be annoyed if Ares came out and was only slightly more power than Drax. Like if Drax could get to 4/10-4/12 then Ares getting to 4/12 wouldn't be all that great.
I've seen a lot of the Surtur decks running Kitty with Galacta. That was pretty cool to see. Mine runs Doom 2099. Nico is good but just I think the Kitty decks Might be cooler. Idk.
Gladiator still has a worth when pulling a big card out of the opponents deck that he can't destroy, cause then you a) know where it is and b) can destroy it with Shang Chi and grab it with fenris

Esp w Compensation for teh game being down coming out soon (and im not crazy hyped for any cards data mined for next month) felt good to get Ares today. It DID take me 4 keys, but I didn't have Misery so ill take it lol. So io can use next month to build up keys and I have plenty of Tokens if i need next month.

Didn't get Ares with my key. Kept bumping into this very deck. So just put together an anti Ares deck and its stomping them. Thinking maybe putting magic in. Scorpion also to turn off Surtar. But so far this doesn't let them play. You can control the lanes, use spiderman to move armour or their big guy to open up shangchi plays. And either copy their plays with leader or pull all their 4 and 3s to a dead lane with magneteo. Enchantress turns off armour. Daredevil allows perfect plays on t5. Morph usually works out better than Gladiator in this meta after patriot. As does Nega of you have priority. Jean, negasonic and ironfist they usually concede. Id probably run Fenris if had it. Red Guardian can turn off Surtur. Against any other deck it disrupts well enough to win with the same lines. Ares is like a more reliable Bruce Banner lol. It doesn't feel good if it fails but it's great when it does hit. At least it's more reliable and more of a 50/50 and why I think Ares works a lot better in Mill decks when they have no cards left anyway!😂

It's because of the whole TikTok ban issue. Their old publisher took it down from the app store and shut it down completely for a few days in the US. It's back up and running, but it still hasn't been restored to the app store. They expect to have it back by the end of this week.
Ares is not good. 1st game it got played against me it failed. All it does it make the Skaar deck 2 pts better. And now you have a 4 drop you cant protect in your Cosmo lane. Extremely narrow as it goes in only one deck, and only makes that deck slightly better

My favorite synergy is Misery reactivating Ares so I can get some intel on the opponent's deck. Trully a great unexpected strategy

Most people : put Ares in Darkhawk, Surtur, Mill deck
Me : put him in War Machine deck (Infinaut, Cull, Maw, Crossbones are enough)
Try testing Ares with a Black Knight / Ghost Rider shell or Hela shell.

The mill decklist is so good im running it with great success without Ares, just replaced him with Killmonger

ByteDance (which also owns Tiktok) got banned in the USA for about 12 hours. TikTok was restored but Marvel Snap hasn't been yet.
It's because of the whole TikTok ban issue. Their old publisher took it down from the app store and shut it down completely for a few days in the US. It's back up and running, but it still hasn't been restored to the app store. They expect to have it back by the end of this week.
They just announced it should be available in the Android store again.
