Great video Regis as always. The issue I've seen a lot of people express with Arishem is that it throws the core game design of smart snapping and retreating out of the window when you're playing against an Arishem deck. Since they could have literally anything, or even two of the same card.
Whenever I get the quest to win a location with one card I always make a silly deck with Namor, Hulk Buster, and Symbiote Spider-Man with the intent to pump him up as much as possible

Personally I love master mold in a Ronan deck, and hulkling is such a fun card with a really good power level, there’s only a few copies that can make it completely useless, but a lot more that can clutch a lot of cubes
2:11 I usually run Quicksilver in my Lockjaw decks for that very reason (but lockjaw being a 4 cost made it significantly less viable). He’s not a bad card overall (he’s never had a negative winrate)… although for Arishem… yeah, not great.
I mean generically quicksilver is a pretty bad card... but you just would never run it in a deck it has no utility so I don't think it loses that often... but the average deck doesn't care if it has a turn 1 play and its rare you'd ever want to draw a 1/2. So it almost consistently makes your deck worse than putting a different card in. In niche cases it has uses right? like you are using it in this example to guarantee you have fuel for lockjaw, but realistically you would only need 1 cost fuel if you are playing lockjaw on 5 (on 4 before the cost change)... so you don't really need the guarantee draw of quicksilver on 1 for that since you have 5(4) turns to draw before then. but it also is sometimes useful for wiccan builds and some agatha builds, but agatha really has never been great as much as a meme. I think quicksilver is, by design (if memory serves they created that card/ability just to show players they didn't need a mulligan cause 1st turn plays are not a critical play pattern for this game), a bad card overall... but not unplayable.
@@notednuance right right right - by all accounts, at least perfunctory, he *SHOULD* reduce win rates. He should be an impediment to a win condition. Instead he has a ~4% win rate differential. It doesn’t matter what deck you put him in, if you key on him (like planning on throwing him into lockjaw) or not (using him to thin the hand so random discards are more/less likely to hit intended targets or a destroy target). When Kitty was given to everyone and everyone was playing bounce, I tossed in QS to block Sentry Void and running the numbers afterward to see what was/wasn’t working, QS consistently over performed. And as a robot tech and logistics systems analyst, I had to figure out why. I had 3 Major Hypothesis’s; White Advantage, Unforced Errors, or Variance Balancing. Wiccan’s release confirmed that it’s White Advantage; on average, you are playing more cards then your opponent and therefore, more likely to win. Which is also consistent with other problem cards of the past metas (Arishem, Loki, Thanos, Sera, Negative, Etc). And to be clear, I think Quicksilver is “Snap’s Most Okayish Card”; he’s boring, unassuming but effective and the only card that does what he does well. It's more that the one extra energy is really polarizing, I haven't had an Arishem game where one side wasn't obviously gonna win, and its usually Arishem just because more often than not they get to play more stuff.
Not sure why the second opponent didn't play a card left at the end. Kang showed them a goblin was coming down, if they filled it they probably win the location
I knew Arishem would play fine no matter what was in there... I just call my one arishem deck "arishem waiting room" and whenever I feel like nonsense I just swap whatever cards in and out in always does about as well as it ever does.
I think this is more a testament to a good player than it is a good card (Arishem in this case). Good players find ways to make something out of (mostly) nothing
A lot of your opponents surrendered out of fear when you had no way to win. So many people have defeatist mentality. Arishem isnt so busted that you can win consistently with a bad deck.
I’m a 2,000 cl player and spent my first 6k tokens on arishem, and is the main reason I was able to get to infinite this season. Idk I understand the hate but he’s the homie
This confirms my theory that kind streamers (e.g. Regis) get blessed with the best possible luck, and bad tempered streamers (e.g. Hooglandia) are relieved of their luck
After seeing this, kang in Arishem did not seem like the worst card. Still not worth putting in the deck, but you can draw him on 4, 5 or 6 for a redraw and people are terrified of an arishem snap, so the kang snap does get more value. This is genuinely the best place for Kang were there not so many other good cards in the game.
I feel like Arishem always gets the cards to counter whatever I'm playing. So, it's not surprising that playing a deck with no synergy Arishem still wins.
I didn’t lock him in last month realised I need him bad and I swear it’s cycled all the cards I don’t have besides him twice over and he still hasn’t landed back in the token shop
I wonder if they will ever make quicksilver a 1/3, I mean, considering they let silver sable a 1/3 with an upside for months there is a chance they can experiment with making old 1 cost into 3 power Although I guess quicksilver is played with Wiccan so there is that too
I think arishem might be powerful but it's so fun. I really don't want a nerf. I hope if they touch this card they do something like a 25% chance to change your original cards in the deck to a random card or something
In the beginning I wanted to argue, that Quicksilver is good in Wiccan decks, then I remembered you start with one extra energy, so yeah, Quicksilver SUCKS in Arishem lol
I get that Arishem can be frustrating for people but I think its important to remember that it is one of the only way newer players or just anyone who cant keep up with new releases gets to use a lot of series 5 cards and just experience the fun you can have with the game. It is honestly the reason I am still playing, otherwise I would have gotten bored with such terrible card aqcuisition
I just completed diner because of unlocking Arishem. I get people being frustated about the randomness but if you remove it there's no ways us new players have a shot at winning or even just playing most of the new cards. I would prob quit the game if not for Arishem
IMO swap Mojo for Selene to make the deck worse. I'm also wondering about Hulkling and SM 2099, I know they're not "good" but they might still be too efficient from a power perspective for me if I was trying to make a genuinely awful deck rather than just slapping 11 cards with low win rates into Arishem.
I know this is a quirky video and playing Arishem has it's cons, but usually people play it with the best cards in the game and with the Loki Quin Jet package, making every game feel like an uphill battle. It wouldn't be so bad if the only downside to Arishem wasn't easily offset by playing one card that steals your whole deck.
Personally I wish Arishem was more of just a fun card and not a menace. I like the idea of playing with a pile of random junk, but I want it to be a fun challenge, not an overpowered meta-deck.
I cant believe you unintentionally made a Loki Counter

I wonder if they will ever make quicksilver a 1/3, I mean, considering they let silver sable a 1/3 with an upside for months there is a chance they can experiment with making old 1 cost into 3 power
Although I guess quicksilver is played with Wiccan so there is that too
My favorite past time is running random cards arishem honestly. Get to try out cards I can’t afford
bro uploaded finally 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤧
Gimme a pair of glasses and I can cosplay as Regis
Love the new hair!
Like i said before, Arishem is f2p friendly, just inserting some tech card and quinjet is enough to keep me in rank 80’s.
24:54 can't you play heim mid and make it so namor does not move?
Adam Warlock didn't even show up, ABSOLUTE CINEMA 🤯
8:20 chef's kiss
I actually like Arishem. I use Arishem in my booster farm deck. I have 9 cards from an Arishem shell then fill in the 3 cards I want boosters for.
I think arishem might be powerful but it's so fun. I really don't want a nerf. I hope if they touch this card they do something like a 25% chance to change your original cards in the deck to a random card or something
It's not fun for your opponent
In the beginning I wanted to argue, that Quicksilver is good in Wiccan decks, then I remembered you start with one extra energy, so yeah, Quicksilver SUCKS in Arishem lol
I get that Arishem can be frustrating for people but I think its important to remember that it is one of the only way newer players or just anyone who cant keep up with new releases gets to use a lot of series 5 cards and just experience the fun you can have with the game. It is honestly the reason I am still playing, otherwise I would have gotten bored with such terrible card aqcuisition
Yeah I agree, I mention this at the end, it's a delicate balance between fun and unfun.
Nobody can play this deck except the one and only genius Regis
I just completed diner because of unlocking Arishem. I get people being frustated about the randomness but if you remove it there's no ways us new players have a shot at winning or even just playing most of the new cards. I would prob quit the game if not for Arishem
Came for the thumbnail, came when I saw Crystal
I wonder what the Marvel Rivals version of Adam Warlock would be in Snap
kang is actually the best card in the game. being able to restart a turn n revealing ur opponents hand is insane
there is no worst cards, only bad decks... without me for watching that video...
Damn regis looking fly, new hair cut?
i wish goblins count as moving bc it do on the same theme as Spiderman's universe characters.
Kang the Warlock actually looks really cool
I would change mojo or mold for domino to make it even worse
I always watch the video until the pixel bats at the end
Regis looking good with the side blown hair.
Haven’t played in a while. Why is Adam Warlock a 5 drop?
I tried so hard to get Arishem. I used all 3 keys I had on his week, never got him.
Personally I wish Arishem was more of just a fun card and not a menace. I like the idea of playing with a pile of random junk, but I want it to be a fun challenge, not an overpowered meta-deck.
Grand central always pulls your first card, I noticed that playing
I'm hurt that Hulking is here. His stats are really good.
I will not accept any hulkling slander, he's one of the most fun cards in the game.
Anything is possible with the power of Arishem 😎
13:00 Bro had the SM 2099 and Araña combo, Arishem RNG stays rigged!
I would say Crystal doesn't deserve to be here, she is pretty decent. If we are talking about 3 mane, I would consider Shanna worse, for example
Lmao Regis snapping back for 8 in a video I’ve seen it all
